Chapter 30: Conflict breaks out

Chapter 30: Conflict breaks out

Su Yan gasped in pain, slapped him harder, and twisted her body, trying to get out of his arms.

It was clearly him who kissed and bit her, but in the end it became her fault. He was taking advantage of her.

"Let me go, I don't want you to press me anymore."

The child was provoked and became as angry as a kitten with its fur standing on end. He looked fierce, but in fact he had no deterrent power at all.

He Ji licked his teeth, laughed softly, and rubbed her head with his big hands.

"Okay, okay, I won't bother you anymore. I'll take you to bed."

He was already touching me in the living room, so who knows what he would do if we were lying in the same bed.

Su Yan was extremely afraid of him now. When she saw him about to stand up, she quickly spoke up to stop him.

"I'm not sleepy yet. I don't want to go to bed so early. Please bring me my computer. I'll find a movie to watch."

She spent three or four thousand to buy a computer, but it's been almost a year and she hasn't used it many times.

Su Yan thought about it and suddenly regretted buying it.

"What movie do you want to watch? I'll play it for you on my phone."

He Ji took out his phone, unlocked the screen, swiped twice, and pointed to several apps for her. "Click on whichever one you want. I'm a member."

Su Yan sensed a sense of affluence in the latter part of the sentence, and curiously asked, "Why do you have so many memberships?"

"There's too much money and nowhere to spend it."

Su Yan: “…Oh!”

It's true that I have too much money and nowhere to spend it. Who normally would buy all the memberships?

Su Yan didn't know what to look at for a moment, and finally picked an APP at random. She clicked it in and before she started to choose, her phone was taken back by He Ji.

"In this situation, I think we should find a good movie to add to the atmosphere."

He browsed through his phone for a while, found a classic horror movie, and placed it in front of Su Yan.

"How about watching this one?"

Su Yan stared at him for two seconds, wanting to say something, opened and closed her mouth, but in the end she said nothing.

He Ji's intentions were now clear to everyone. He adjusted his posture, clicked on the video, and watched it with Su Yan.

As he watched, he felt something was wrong. The child in his arms remained calm and did not even blink when seeing the most horrifying scenes.

Thinking of her hesitation to speak just now, He Ji gritted his teeth and thought to himself that it was a bad idea. The child was obviously not afraid of this.

He pinched Su Yan's ear and asked casually, "Are you afraid of anything?"

Su Yan thought about it, said nothing, turned her head, and looked at him straight in the eyes.

He Ji sighed and covered her eyes with his hands, "Except me."

Apart from him, Su Yan really couldn't think of anything else she was afraid of.

Or maybe he was afraid of communicating with others? But this answer was obviously not what he wanted to hear.

The child thought for two minutes, and finally shook her head. He Ji's hand, which was covering her eyes, turned to pinch her face.

"Just mad at me, mad me to death, and then you'll be happy."

Unable to get the information he wanted, He Ji gritted his teeth and cursed. He put Su Yan on the sofa and turned to go to the bathroom.

Su Yan couldn't guess whether he was really angry or not. She frowned and didn't want to look at him anymore.

When she was about to put down her phone, WeChat dinged twice, indicating that there was an incoming message. She subconsciously looked over and saw some very explicit words.

She frowned, but ignored it. Instead, she turned off her phone and half-curled herself into the quilt to rest.

"Why don't you watch it anymore?" He Ji asked after coming out, picking up his phone and flipping through it.

"It's too noisy. I don't want to watch it anymore." Su Yan buried her mouth in the quilt, and her voice was muffled.

He Ji nodded, and didn't feel anything was wrong for a moment, until he clicked on WeChat and saw the message at the top.

He narrowed his eyes and looked at Su Yan, whose face was only half exposed. "Did you see it?"

Looking at the phone handed to her, Su Yan bit her lip and hummed.

"You've seen it, so you don't have anything to ask?"

Su Yan uttered an "ah," raised her eyes to look at him, and asked blankly, "What should I ask?"

He Ji was really angry this time. He gritted his teeth, his face was tense, his hands were clenched into fists, making cracking sounds. He was breathing heavily, as if he would kill the person in front of him in the next moment.

"I'm your man, and you don't mind at all when a woman outside sends this kind of message to your man?"

"If I hadn't noticed, would you have just pretended nothing had happened and continued as usual?"

Su Yan looked at him furiously and wanted to say something, but her throat seemed to be blocked by something and no sound came out when she opened her mouth.

Seeing that she didn't say anything, He Ji snorted, took his clothes and walked out.

"I'm really, a fucking jerk."

"Bang!"

The door was slammed shut with great force, and the loud noise made Su Yan tremble.

Looking at the closed door, tears suddenly welled up in her eyes. Why was he so fierce?

She really didn't feel much about the message he received. After all, one or two sentences didn't mean much.

But his current reaction made Su Yan realize that she had given the wrong response.

She lowered her head, opened her mouth slightly to breathe, and gradually calmed down.

That person was so fierce just now that she couldn't tell whether she was crying because of fear or for some other reason.

The pain in her body made it difficult for her to move. When she returned to the sofa, she was so tired that she was gasping for breath. The burning pain made her frown.

She turned on the phone and opened a forum that she hadn't visited for many years. She typed and deleted it, repeating it several times. Finally, she posted her current situation on the forum.

This forum has been around for too many years and is no longer as prosperous as it once was. Ten minutes after she posted, there was no reply.

After turning off the computer, she curled up on the sofa, took out her cell phone, and wondered whether she should call him.

But if she called him, what would she say? Should she say that she didn't mean that?

She felt irritated and particularly depressed. She kicked the quilt aside with great effort and fingered the sofa in annoyance.

After being in a daze for a long time, the clock on the wall was almost twelve o'clock, but she still didn't feel sleepy at all.

She turned on her computer again. The forum became lively late at night and she received replies one after another.

She read every reply carefully, and the meaning of all the replies was very clear, that is, she did not love him.

Su Yan pursed her lips and exited the forum.

Su Yan had indeed never thought about the question of love or not, and she couldn't tell the difference between liking and loving.

She searched online, but every answer she got was different. The more she looked, the more upset she became, and she almost wanted to smash her computer.

After turning off the computer, she fell on the sofa, but found that she was uncomfortable whether she was lying down or leaning against it.

When she has something on her mind, she cannot calm down and cannot even concentrate on reading her favorite books.

The lights in the room were on all night. When the sun shone into the room through the gap in the curtains, Su Yan, who was sitting in the corner, raised her head.

After not sleeping for a night, her face was pale, her eyes were dark, and she looked extremely haggard.
