Chapter 40: I'm Afraid of You

Chapter 40: I'm Afraid of You

"Okay, okay, it's my fault. I'll be more careful next time."

Su Yan didn't answer him, her face turned red. After a long time, she muttered a few words in a low voice.

He Ji listened with his ears perked up, thinking that although it was a complaint, why did it sound so happy?

No man would be unhappy when being praised, and He Ji is no exception.

He gritted his teeth, thinking that just based on these two sentences, he should be more tolerant of her.

But even though we can't do anything else now, we can always kiss and hug.

He Ji kissed her hard, and when he stopped, Su Yan was already gasping for breath.

He Ji sat cross-legged on the ground, lowered his head to kiss the tears from the corners of her eyes, and smiled in an overly wicked way.

"She's worthy of being my wife. She's so sweet."

Su Yan was so embarrassed that she couldn't speak, and after hearing what he said, she got so angry that she bit her arm that was supporting herself on the sofa.

He Ji seemed not to feel any pain. Not only did he relax his body to let her bite, but he also patted her back and taught her how to bite so that it would hurt more.

He had thick skin and tough flesh, and Su Yan had tried her best, her lips were sore from biting them, but she still couldn't make He Ji frown.

Looking at the enjoyment on his face, Su Yan deflated, opened her mouth and stepped back a little.

Unexpectedly, she stopped biting so quickly. He Ji sighed, "You little loser, you can't even bite a person. Aren't you ashamed?"

She was already in a bad mood, and he made her even more angry. Su Yan tried to hold it back, but in the end she couldn't help it. She pouted and tears started to fall.

Although he thought it was cute to see a child crying, He Ji wanted to see her smile more.

He held her in his arms, leaned her back against the sofa, and patted her back gently with his big hands.

"Okay, okay, I won't tease you anymore. Don't cry."

As soon as she finished speaking, her soft sobs turned into loud tears. Hearing her crying, He Ji's forehead twitched.

"I'm scared of you. Let me let you cry for two minutes."

As soon as Su Yan stopped crying, she opened her eyes and looked at him, her mouth pouting with a look of grievance.

There is no such domineering person. He bullies others and doesn't let them cry. This is not a girlfriend, this is more like an enemy.

She didn't cry out loud anymore, but her eyes, full of moisture, stared at him, her eyelashes trembling as crystal tears fell one by one.

The little mouth, which was swollen from being kissed, pouted in grievance, and the delicate nose twitched from time to time. He Ji felt like he was going crazy.

She might as well just cry like this. Which man can stand such a wronged look?

"Okay, okay, it's all my fault. I won't bully you again next time, okay?"

His tone sounded as if he had suffered a great loss. Su Yan snorted twice, neither saying anything good nor bad.

He Ji lowered his head to kiss her, swallowing all her grievances. He coaxed her softly from time to time, saying all the good words he had learned in his life, and finally coaxed her into submission.

Su Yan's eyes were swollen from crying. She had no strength left in her body and couldn't even cry.

He Ji put her on the sofa, turned and went into the bathroom. When he came out, he was holding a warm towel in his hand.

After covering her eyes with a hot towel, the astringent feeling was mostly gone, and Su Yan breathed a sigh of relief.

He Ji didn't know if he had a problem. He just liked to make people cry and then comfort them. He was annoyed for making her cry just now, but now seeing her leaning against him softly, he felt that he should be a little more ruthless.

Su Yan was so tired that she didn't even want to move a finger, but the discomfort in her body told her that it was time to change her sanitary napkin.

Lazily opened her eyes and looked at He Ji's back as he entered the bathroom. She reached out and patted her face.

As she sat up with the help of the sofa, He Ji leaned against the bathroom door and whistled at her.

"Kid, do you need help?"

"Although I feel a little uncomfortable doing this kind of favor, if it's you, I think I'd be happy to do it."

His expression didn't match what he said. Su Yan pursed her lips and gave him a fierce look, "No need!"

He Ji touched his nose and sighed, "Okay."

He came over and picked up Su Yan. Facing her wide eyes, he bared his teeth and said, "Don't worry, I won't help."

She had cried enough today. If she cried any more, her voice would become hoarse. He was not so cruel as to do that.

After putting the person in the bathroom, he closed the door as he walked out. "I'm right at the door. Call me if you need anything."

The person inside did not respond. After half a minute of silence, he heard a "click" and it was obvious that someone had locked the door from the inside.

Looking at the small door handle, He Ji licked the corner of his mouth. If he really wanted to go in, could this lock, which was not even as big as a finger, stop him?

Not to mention the lock, even this door can be opened with just one kick.

There was a rustling sound coming from inside, like the noise made by a little mouse stealing food.

He Ji pricked up his ears, imagining her current actions. Just as he was about to speak, he was interrupted by the sudden sound of water.

Su Yan turned on the faucet to cover up the noise. He Ji rubbed his head and sneered.

Kids nowadays are so cunning that it’s impossible for him to eavesdrop even for a moment.

Su Yan tidied herself up, turned off the faucet and came out. When she met a pair of dark eyes, she was stunned for a moment, pursed her lips and stretched out her hand.

"I can't walk anymore, I need to be carried."
