Chapter 47: Give it to you

Chapter 47: Give it to you

Su Yan glanced at him, then quickly lowered her head and whispered, "Isn't it better not to talk? Don't you feel tired talking so much every day?"

He Ji gritted his teeth and tapped her neck with his hand, "The mouth is not only used for eating, it is also used for communicating with people."

"You never speak, how can I know what you want?"

He was about to start another long speech, but Su Yan blinked and pulled him aside, "Let's go have some mung bean soup."

He Ji had a lot of words stuck in his throat, unable to swallow or spit them out, and he felt so uncomfortable.

Looking at the innocent-eyed child, he tutted, "What a promising child!"

Su Yan just smiled and didn't answer him. She took him to the sweet water stall.

She found a seat in a corner, turned the side of her face with the teeth marks inward, and supported her face with her hand when she took off the mask.

Seeing her secretly breathe a sigh of relief, He Ji curled the corners of his mouth. Now she dares to take off her mask. She has really made progress.

Su Yan originally wanted to eat a bowl of cold mung bean soup, but He Ji changed it to warm one. She wanted to speak, but was blocked by a word.

"You said you can't eat cold food now."

Su Yan finally understood what it meant to shoot oneself in the foot. Who would eat warm mung bean soup? Only mung bean porridge is warm.

She bit her lower lip, picked at her finger and played with it for a few times, then looked up again, "Can you give me a bite later? Just a small bite."

As if she was afraid that he would disagree, she sighed and said, "It doesn't taste good when it's warm~"

The ending tone was drawn out, and she softened her voice and spoke coquettishly.

He Ji was very pleased with this and nodded without hesitation, "Here you go, here you go. The whole bowl is yours."

The child's coquettishness was like a hook, which hooked his heart. Not to mention a bowl of mung bean soup, he would even buy this stall for her.

Su Yan didn't expect that he agreed after just two sentences. Looking at the corners of his mouth turning up, she was silent for a moment and swallowed the rest of the words.

After eating mung bean soup, when it was time for dinner, Su Yan had no appetite. She looked at the rice in the bowl and didn't want to move it at all.

When she picked up the rice but didn't put it into her mouth for who knows how many times, He Ji couldn't help it. He put down his chopsticks and reached out to hug her.

Su Yan took one look and quickly hid aside with the food in her hand. "No need for you to feed me, I can eat by myself."

He Ji hummed and withdrew his hand, but did not continue eating. Instead, he kept staring at her.

"How can I eat if you keep watching me?"

"If I don't look at it, you can eat this bowl of rice until tomorrow."

Su Yan: "...Actually, it's not that exaggerated."

Although she eats slowly, she will definitely finish this bowl of rice tonight.

"Either eat quickly or let me feed you. It's your choice."

"oh."

After replying dryly, Su Yan took a deep breath and ate her meal.

After finishing her meal, she put down her chopsticks and wanted to run away before she even swallowed the food in her mouth, but He Ji stopped her.

"You've finished eating, now it's my turn."

Su Yan glared, "You need someone to watch you while you eat?"

He Ji: “…No.”

"That……"

"I just want you to sit here."

"……oh."

After He Ji finished his meal, Su Yan went to wash the dishes, while He Ji went straight into the bathroom.

Su Yan didn't think anything was wrong at first, until she came out after washing the dishes and saw that the bag that was originally placed next to the sofa was gone.

She looked at the tightly closed door, listened to the cheerful tune coming out, and returned to her room with a stiff face.

When He Ji came out, he was only wearing a bath towel, his upper body was naked, and the exposed parts showed his firm muscles.

He looked around the living room and didn't see anyone, so he went into the room and finally found the child hiding in the corner.

He walked over, squatted in front of her, and held her in his arms.

"What's wrong?"

Su Yan didn't look up, but kept poking her toes, her lips pressed against her arm, and her words were muffled.

"You're so annoying."

He Ji rubbed her head and asked with a smile, "Why am I so annoying again?"

Su Yan stopped talking again, buried her head in her arms, and curled up motionlessly.

He Ji squatted with her in this position for a while, and finally picked her up.

"Don't think about it, go take a shower."

Su Yan didn't move. He Ji smiled and leaned close to her ear and asked, "Do you want me to help you wash?"

He had barely finished speaking when the child in his arms moved and slipped away.

Listening to her hurried steps, He Ji leaned against the wall and laughed softly.

The little girl, I just praised her for her growth, but now she has lost her courage again. I don’t know if she has been given to the mouse.

Walking to the balcony, he lit a cigarette and was just puffing away when the phone rang.

At this time of day, there was usually no benefit in calling him. Sure enough, there was another problem with a batch of materials on the construction site.

After hanging up the phone, he gritted his teeth and cursed. There were few honest suppliers among those suppliers. After dealing with him for so long, they still dared to use inferior products to make up for the shortage.

If he doesn't skin them hard this time, they will think he is a soft cat.

After getting dressed, he walked to the bathroom and knocked on the door. "Little sweetie, something happened at the construction site. I have to go out for a while."

As soon as the words fell, the movement inside stopped. After the rustling sound, the bathroom door opened a little, and a pair of watery eyes appeared.

"Are you going out? Are you going to be gone for a long time?"

"I don't know yet. I may not be able to come back tonight. Go to bed early."

After he finished speaking, he stopped, looked twice, reached in, hooked her chin, and said, "Come out a little, let me kiss you."

Su Yan obediently stuck her head out and tilted her face up for him to kiss.

He Ji didn't kiss her for too long. He let her go after a few seconds, rubbed the teeth marks on her face with his fingertips, sighed, and turned to walk out.

"Remember to lock all the doors and windows when you go to bed, and call me if you need anything."

Su Yan agreed in a soft voice. After he left, she quickly washed herself and came out.

Sitting on the sofa, looking at the quiet room, she scratched her hair and let out a low cry.

She slept too much at noon and couldn't fall asleep to begin with. He also went out. What time can she go to bed tonight?

She walked into the kitchen with a pout and took out all the snacks that He Ji bought. She looked at them one by one, but found that there was none she wanted to eat.

The small coffee table was filled with snacks. Su Yan wanted to pretend not to see them, but after turning her head for a while, she turned back helplessly.

Putting the snacks back in the kitchen, she washed an apple and returned to the sofa to slowly chew it.

I found a movie but I didn't have the heart to watch it. I really couldn't concentrate.

Finally, she moved a chair to the balcony, munched on melon seeds and listened to the nearby tenants quarreling, only then did she turn her attention away from He Ji.

She had originally just wanted to kill time, but she ended up being fascinated by what they were saying. Thinking of the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, Su Yan also frowned.

It seems that she will have a new group of relatives.
