Chapter 49: Scare Her

Chapter 49: Scare Her

We agreed to go back in two days, but once He Ji got busy, he would never stop. When he finally had some free time, it was already June.

Su Yan, who was afraid of heat, started to stay indoors. She used to go out to buy groceries, but now that she had He Ji, she refused to go out no matter what.

He Ji stood in the living room, looking down at the person curled up on the sofa, his eyes like a vicious wolf.

After calling her for a long time without getting her to nod, He Ji simply stopped talking nonsense.

He began to take off his clothes in front of Su Yan.

Realizing what he was about to do, Su Yan grabbed He Ji's hand that was already on his waistband and shook her head like a rattle, "Don't take it off."

He didn't feel ashamed in broad daylight.

Seeing how scared she was, He Ji immediately smiled and said, "It's okay. It's good that you don't go out. I also think it's more comfortable to stay at home with air conditioning on such a hot day."

Seeing that He Ji's words did not sound like a lie, Su Yan took a deep breath, pushed him away, and ran into the room.

The door of the room was slammed shut with a loud bang.

He Ji stared at the closed door for a long time before sneering.

If he really wants to do something, can this door stop him?

After standing for a while and calming down, He Ji went to knock on the door.

"Little sweetheart, open the door. We have to go back tomorrow. Let's go out and buy some things today."

The person inside spoke after two minutes. He Ji leaned against the wall, turned sideways and whistled at her.

"I was just joking with you, why are you so scared?"

He always took special care of her and was reassured about her strength, so why was she still so resistant?

Su Yan said "oh" and walked out slowly. When she was putting on her shoes, she asked, "What do you want to buy?"

"What do your parents like to eat and drink?"

"They like to eat and drink." He Ji pulled her up after she put on her shoes. "I didn't buy these for them."

Su Yan exclaimed, "If it's not for them, then who are you buying it for?"

"I bought them for you. If you wear these clothes all day, they'll think I didn't give you any money when you go back."

Su Yan followed him slowly. After hearing this, she reached out and tugged at his clothes. "Have you ever given it to me?"

He Ji: ...

This, it seems, has never been given. He bought everything and she never went out, so she never thought about this.

Thinking of this, He Ji stuffed the wallet into her hand and said, "It's all here. Take it. The password is six eights."

His wallet matches him perfectly; it's both incredibly large and feels heavy in his hands.

Su Yan opened it curiously and saw a large stack of banknotes. She looked up at He Ji. No wonder it was so heavy.

There were more than ten cards inside. Su Yan looked at a few of them, skipped the bank cards, and took out the ID card.

Looking at the date of birth above, she calculated that he was ten years and seven months older than her.

He's so old that she can even call me uncle.

Seeing her staring at her ID card in a daze, He Ji pulled it away and put it together with her ID card.

“Is there money on each card?”

"Every card has it, and the green one has the most."

“Can I spend as much as I want?”

He Ji nodded, "What is given to you is yours, you can spend it however you want."

Su Yan hummed, pursed her lips and smiled secretly.

She was originally very happy that she had a lot of money in her hands, but not long after, she regretted managing the money.

Every time He Ji bought something, he would spread his hands when it came time to pay the bill and say with confidence that he had no money and that his wife was in charge of the finances.

After paying for the first time, Su Yan was unhappy, but she refused to return the wallet.

According to He Ji, their family tradition is that women manage the money, and the money they give home will never be taken back.

He refused to take the wallet back and wanted to go shopping again. There was no choice but for Su Yan to follow him with a bitter face to pay the bill.

After buying so many things, He Ji couldn't even carry them with both hands. Su Yan watched from behind and breathed a sigh of relief.

Finally I can go back.

He Ji put all the things in the car, then pulled Su Yan who was trying to get in, "What are you doing?"

"Go back!"

He Ji flicked her forehead lightly and said, "What are you thinking about? This is totally irrelevant."

I just bought a few pieces of clothes, I haven't bought any shoes or jewelry or anything like that, there's no point in going back.

I was only responsible for buying but not paying. I felt so good. How could I possibly go back so soon?

Su Yan's feet were numb from walking around, and seeing that he wanted to continue, she refused to leave no matter what.

Looking at her tightly pursed lips, He Ji licked his lips and nodded, "Okay, then don't go."

He responded so readily that Su Yan couldn't help but be suspicious. Sure enough, his hand reached for the belt.

She was so scared that she quickly covered his hand, looked around, and breathed a sigh of relief when she didn't see anyone.

"What do you want to do!"

"What else can I do? Of course, I can do what I want to do."

"Are you crazy? You're out there right now!"

Looking at Su Yan who tripped and fell on the seat, He Ji laughed hoarsely.

"Kid, you say no, but your body is honest. I haven't even taken off my clothes yet, so you should lie down first."

He was so scoundrel-like, just like a wretched old man. Su Yan almost cried. When her feet were grabbed, she closed her eyes and screamed.

"Buy, buy, buy. Can't I just buy it?"

How could there be such a person? He forced her to buy something even though she didn't want to, as if her family owned a bank.

He Ji sighed, with obvious disappointment on his face, "You answered too quickly. Next time, remember to call an hour or two later."

Not wanting to talk, she used a tissue to wipe away the cold sweat caused by his fright, combed her messy hair, and followed him angrily.

"You said last time that you wouldn't make me angry anymore." After a few minutes of silence, she said in a low voice.

He Ji nodded and replied confidently, "So I just scared you."

Su Yan closed her mouth and stopped talking.

He was always right and she could never argue with him.

He Ji raised the corner of his mouth, stretched out his hand, grabbed her wrist and pulled it gently, then pulled her into his arms.
