They took her directly back to the dormitory entrance. By now, all the students who had registered had arrived, so there was a constant flow of people coming and going.
They returned as a man and a woman, both quite good-looking, and everyone couldn't help but look at them.
Even someone as carefree as Liu Shengnan felt a little awkward. She got off the bus uncomfortably, muttered "I'm going up," and started to leave.
Li Yuzhe stopped him, saying, "Why are you afraid of them? We haven't done anything wrong."
Liu Shengnan glared at him. Was this some kind of question about whether she had done anything wrong? It was very uncomfortable to be stared at by so many people.
Li Yuzhe smiled and said, "Alright, I'll let you go. I just wanted to tell you that I'll come to have lunch with you tomorrow. Wait for me."
Liu Shengnan frowned: "Why are you looking for me instead of your roommate?"
Li Yuzhe raised an eyebrow: "I don't know anyone here, and you're the only person I know. Could you please take care of me? I'm going to stick with you now."
Liu Shengnan was shocked by his shamelessness. "Hey, do you want to hear what you're saying? It's understandable that you came looking for me outside, since I'm a local. But this is my first time at this school, and I'm not familiar with it. You expect me to help you?"
She practically said he was sick.
Li Yuzhe: "I don't care, I've decided on you. Goodbye."
After spending more than a year together, Liu Shengnan understood him fairly well and knew that he would complete what he decided no matter what, so she simply gave up resisting.
Who cares? I'll just ignore him. He'll leave on his own in a couple of days.
Thinking of this, Liu Shengnan turned to leave, but he stopped her again.
Liu Shengnan's patience ran out. Considering the many people around, she didn't shout, "What are you doing? Is there anything else?"
"fine."
Upon hearing those two words, Liu Shengnan was about to explode. Why stop her if there's nothing wrong?
Before she could even speak, she was silenced by the man's next words.
"But, Liu Shengnan, I forgot to tell you, you look very beautiful today." Her tone was serious, and her eyes were smiling, as if they held hooks.
In short, Liu Shengnan's cheeks turned bright red.
Being praised by someone you consider your arch-enemy completely threw you off balance.
"You...you're speechless. You're sick."
He cursed once and then ran away.
Only after her figure disappeared at the dormitory entrance did Li Yuzhe finally turn his gaze away and ride away on his bicycle.
After going up the stairs and avoiding the stairwell, Liu Shengnan leaned against the wall, clutching her chest and panting, patting her cheeks.
"That dog Li Yuzhe has really taken the wrong medicine."
I calmed myself down before heading back to my dorm.
In the six-person dormitory, the other five people were already there. When they saw her return, they greeted her, introduced themselves, and that was how they got to know each other.
Nothing was said that night; the first lesson of the new semester always involves a class meeting.
As expected, Li Yuzhe was waiting for her at the cafeteria entrance at noon.
When she was stopped, Liu Shengnan was chatting and laughing with her roommate. Wow, they had already formed a revolutionary friendship that morning.
Li Yuzhe walked confidently toward them, and her roommates looked at her with knowing glances.
Liu Shengnan couldn't explain herself; since no one had asked, her making up explanations would easily make her seem guilty.
He could only casually say, "My friend."
Li Yuzhe smiled and walked over to her, raising an eyebrow as he noticed she had friends with her.
He suppressed most of his smile and nodded to them with a distant but polite air.
Liu Shengnan frowned, inwardly cursing at how impolite this person was to her.
"Let's go, I don't need to take you out to eat."
After saying that, she took the lead and walked ahead, while Li Yuzhe strode to stand beside her.
The remaining roommates exchanged glances.
"Is this her boyfriend?"
"No way, Shengnan said they're friends."
"Perhaps it's still in the development stage?"
"Alright, alright, let's not gossip about other people's business. They've all gone far away."
"Ah, right, right, hurry up and keep up."
Since they weren't familiar with each other, my roommates sat a bit far away from them, ostensibly to let their friends have a good get-together.
The plates were placed on the table, and the two sat facing each other.
Liu Shengnan poked at the rice in her plate and said to Li Yuzhe in an annoyed tone:
"Now you know where the cafeteria is, right? I've shown you around once. From now on, come by yourself or with your roommate, okay? Don't bother me."
Li Yuzhe shook his head and waved his finger in front of her eyes.
"No, I'm scared."
Liu Shengnan laughed in anger, "Li Yuzhe, is your skin made of a city wall? How can it be so thick?"
Li Yuzhe did not answer.
Just kidding, how can you win a wife's heart if you're not thick-skinned?
But is Liu Shengnan so easily persuaded? Then she wouldn't be Liu Shengnan.
The next day, he started avoiding Li Yuzhe. As soon as get out of class ended, he would rush out of the classroom, grab his lunchbox, get his food, and head to the dormitory.
Unfortunately, they were stopped by Li Yuzhe halfway there, and after some arguing, the two ended up having a meal by the lake.
On the third day, I went to the classroom... and failed.
On the fourth day, I went to the rooftop... and failed.
Day 5…
Day 6…
...
Two weeks later, Liu Shengnan gave up. Well, she was tired of it.
And then it started; Li Yuzhe would come to her for everything.
She felt she was being taken advantage of, so she would drag Li Yuzhe into everything, thinking it was fair.
They kept teasing each other like this, and most of the people in the dorm had joked about it.
At the very beginning, Liu Shengnan would experience a racing heart and a flushed face, wondering if she had contracted a disease.
But after a while, I got used to it and could even joke around with them a bit.
She even thought it was pretty good to be friends with Li Yuzhe like this, and Li Yuzhe wasn't as annoying as before, unlike when he was in the countryside and always went against her.
I respect her a lot, I put her feelings first most of the time, and I don't say what needs to be said. I'm really good to her.
