Ah Niang patted his head and said gently, "Your wife is delicate, not like the people here. If I do more, she will feel more relaxed, right?"
Lu Sheng raised his head, his gentle face glowing with a different look under the light.
Ah Niang glanced toward the house and asked, "Why are you back so late today? Haven't you finished your work in the fields yet?"
A Niang changed the needle and asked again.
Lu Sheng stood up, took off his dirty clothes, and said, "It's almost done. The rice seedlings have been planted. When the harvest is ready next year, I will bring a motorcycle to the town to sell. I should be able to make some money!"
Ah Niang sighed and stopped what she was doing. "This is not a solution. When your father was sick, he still owed tens of thousands of dollars. Although the surgery fee for the extension of life was paid by your wife, you can't owe her money anyway. Besides, you're going to be a father soon. When the child is born, there will be a lot of trouble and it will be another expense!"
Lu Sheng lowered his head, looking somewhat dejected. After a while, he said, "Mom, don't worry, I will find a way. Jiahe and I have discussed it. After the busy farming season is over, I will go to town with him to find a job. He is familiar with the place and should be able to find a good job!"
A'niang nodded and said, "That's fine. When we get out of here, it should be winter. By then, your wife should be about to give birth. After she gives birth, she will be relieved. You can rest assured to make money outside, and I will stay at home to accompany her and take care of the child!"
Lu Sheng nodded, "Okay!"
Ah Niang looked up at him and couldn't help but pursed her lips and smiled, "You kid, you brought me such a beautiful wife without saying anything, are you happy in your heart?"
A'niang asked him jokingly.
He smiled innocently, his handsome face slightly reddened, "No way."
Ah Niang curled her lips, changed her clothes-making posture, and continued, "You are my son, how can I not understand you, you blush when you look at me, as if you have never seen a girl before!" Ah Niang paused and said, "Oh, by the way, your uncle Fu came today and took her pulse. He said that she is a little anemic and that her appetite is not very good. Why don't you take a look at her and ask her if she is feeling unwell?"
Lu Sheng frowned and asked quickly, "What's wrong? Why is he anemic?"
He had been working in the fields all day today, and in the afternoon he was caught by his father and that brat to repair the pigsty for him, so he just got home now, and of course he didn't know Qin Shuang's situation.
Auntie glanced at him and said, "Don't worry. I asked your uncle Fu, and he said there's no big problem, just severe morning sickness. Tomorrow, I'll go to your third aunt's house to borrow some sour dates or something to relieve her pain."
Lu Sheng's face was a little stiff. He looked in the direction of the bedroom and made plans silently in his mind.

The next morning, he did not go to the fields, nor did he go to the back hill to chop firewood, but went up the hill in the east.
The fog was still heavy in the morning. Lu Sheng held his tools and looked at the big tree in front of him, lost in thought.
Suddenly, he took off his thin coat, took his tools and quickly climbed up the tree.
Holding on to the thick branch and kicking his legs, he rushed into the dense leaves in two or three steps.
After adjusting his position, he held onto the branch and began to shake it continuously. The tree instantly made a rustling sound like a sieve.
Two times, three times, as he kept shaking his hands, the green dates on the tree instantly fell to the ground like raindrops.
After a few minutes, he stopped, looked towards the bottom of the tree, and when he saw that it was almost time, he hugged the trunk and slid quickly to the ground.
He spread his shirt on the ground and picked up the fallen dates one by one.
He looked at the food in his hand and smiled gently, "These should be enough for both of us to eat for a while!"
When I was going down the mountain, I passed by an open space and saw wild flowers in full bloom.
He raised his lips, took off his clothes, and went to the open space to pick flowers. There were a large area of red and yellow flowers. He smelled them and they were fragrant.
Erya passed by him carrying a basket on her back. He saw her while picking flowers and couldn't help but shout, "Erya!"
Erya was stunned for a moment, and when she saw it was him, she lowered her head and quickly walked away.
He pursed his lips and looked at Erya's receding figure, feeling unhappy.
