Chapter 33 Hurting So Many People

Xiao Shuangbao was also staring at Concubine Zhao, or to be more precise, at the faceless ghost behind her.

Behind the faceless ghost, there was a long line of five ghosts in total.

Little Shuangbao was a little surprised.

This Concubine Zhao has harmed so many people?

"What are you looking at? Princess Lingfu, you dare to disobey the emperor's order. Aren't you afraid of being punished by the emperor again?" Zhao Jieyushi felt guilty when she saw her like that, and she immediately scolded her in a stern voice.

"Zhao Jieyu, Shuangbao came here on my orders," the Queen said immediately. "This matter has nothing to do with you. I hope Zhao Jieyu would not say anything more!"

"Don't talk too much?"

Concubine Zhao smiled sarcastically.

She wanted to say something, but an old lady beside her suddenly stopped her.

Zhao Jieyu looked at the old nanny's face, thought of something, and swallowed the words on her lips.

The old nanny smiled and said to the queen, "Don't worry, Queen, we will never tell anyone about this matter."

"Are you serious, Madam Zhou?" The Queen was a little skeptical.

"How dare this old servant deceive the Empress? Not only will we not say a word about Princess Lingfu's visit here, but we will also help the Empress send the little princess back to the Yangxin Palace safely. If the Empress is worried, you can send a palace maid to accompany us."

Nanny Zhou said enthusiastically.

"Then I'll have to trouble Madam Zhou."

The queen thought that Nanny Zhou was always known for her kindness in the harem, so she agreed.

She squatted down and touched the little Shuangbao's head: "Shuangbao, you go back first. We can talk about other things later."

"Well, Shuangbao will listen to the Queen."

Little Shuangbao nodded obediently.

She glanced at the ghosts, her dark, round eyes moved, and she said, "My dear Queen, there's no need to ask the maid to accompany Shuangbao back. Nanny Zhou will be able to take Shuangbao back!"

"Is it really possible?" The queen was a little worried.

"Really? Sister Chen Cao is here!" Xiao Shuangbao persuaded.

"Then Ma Zhou, I'll trouble you." The queen said apologetically.

"Your Majesty is too polite. This is what I, an old servant, should do."

As Aunt Zhou said this, she immediately came over to hold her little hand.

Little Shuangbao quickly dodged.

"Madam Zhou, Shuangbao just pooped and hasn't washed her hands yet! No need to hold hands!" She looked at Madam Zhou with her little face and said sweetly.

"Oh, then, little princess, let's go quickly. If we delay any longer, there will be more people walking around in the palace."

A hint of disgust flashed across Nanny Zhou's eyes, but she still had a kind smile on her face.

"Uh-huh!"

Little Shuangbao agreed.

Then, she followed Madam Zhou and Concubine Zhao and left the Weiyang Palace.

They walked all the way to the Hall of Mental Cultivation.

However, just as they were halfway across a stone bridge, Nanny Zhou suddenly grabbed Concubine Zhao and cried out in surprise, "Oh, Your Majesty! Where are your jeweled earrings? They were a birthday gift from the Emperor!"

Concubine Zhao touched her ears and found that there was nothing there.

"It must have fallen in the Weiyang Palace!"

Her face was filled with anxiety, and as if casually, she pointed at Chen Cao, who was protecting Xiao Shuangbao. "You, go back to Weiyang Palace! Find these earrings for me!"

Chen Cao looked at Concubine Zhao and didn't say anything for a while.

"What are you standing there for? Why don't you go quickly?" Concubine Zhao looked unhappy.

"Empress Concubine, I am only responsible for protecting the little princess. If you lose something, just ask someone else to do it." Chen Cao refused calmly.

"Haha, I absolutely insist that you go today! What? Just because you're protecting the little princess, you're no longer a servant in the palace? In this palace, any servant is above my control! If you don't go, believe it or not, I'll make it known to everyone in the palace that Princess Lingfu went out without permission during her confinement!"

Concubine Zhao threatened immediately.

"you!"

Chen Cao's face turned cold, and he felt a little resentful towards the queen.

Originally, she could have carried the little princess and returned to the Yangxin Palace without anyone noticing.

But the Queen agreed to let Concubine Zhao and Nanny Zhou escort her.

These two people clearly have bad intentions towards the little princess...

"Sister Chen Cao, it's okay, you can go." When the situation was at a stalemate, Xiao Shuangbao suddenly said.

"Princess..." Chen Cao was worried about leaving the little princess here alone.

"It's really okay, Sister Chencao, believe in Shuangbao!" However, little Shuangbao spoke in a firm tone.

"Well then, I will go and come back quickly."

After Chen Cao finished speaking, he glanced at Concubine Zhao and left quickly.

As soon as she left, a sneer of triumph appeared on Concubine Zhao's face.

"Little Princess, I heard that you can tell if a person has killed anyone just by looking at them. Is this true?"

Her voice was gentle, but held a hint of malice.

"It's true." Little Shuangbao nodded obediently.

"Then can you tell that I have killed anyone?" Zhao Jieyu asked as she approached Xiao Shuangbao. Her hands hidden in her sleeves were ready to push Xiao Shuangbao into the pool under the bridge at any time.

"Empress Jieyu, you have killed someone."

Little Shuangbao raised her little hand and pointed behind Concubine Zhao. "One, two, three, four, five, six... Exactly six. They look old and young, like a family of six!"

"you!"

Concubine Zhao's face changed in shock at these words.

"You can really see it! How can I let you live?"

She immediately raised her hands and pressed Xiao Shuangbao's shoulders, intending to push her into the pool and drown her.
