Chapter 8 Director Xu is a dog
Liao Feng's quiet life did not last long. Whenever Song Xuexi was free, she would run to his house.
Tonight, Liao Feng also returned home early after finishing his work. He saw familiar high heels at the door. Sure enough, Song Xuexi was sitting on the sofa holding his daughter.
Seeing him come back, she looked up at him provocatively and kissed the child in her arms again. Liao Feng was so angry that she didn't even change her shoes. She took the child out of her arms and looked at her warily.
Liao Feng: "Why are you kissing my daughter?" Qu'er became more obedient in his arms and grabbed his tie to play with it.
Song Xuexi looked at him with disgust, and was about to say something when the door opened again.
The visitor saw them, a man and a woman, standing together, very close to each other, and Song Xuexi's hand was on Liao Feng's shoulder. This posture was nothing to the two of them, but it looked very ambiguous to Ruan Xingfeng.
Liao Feng frowned slightly when he saw him coming back from outside. He handed the child to Song Xuexi and looked at him reproachfully, asking, "Where did you go when you left this child at home so late at night?"
Ruan Xingfeng was frightened by his voice, and it took him a long time to find his voice and explain: "The nanny left at 6 o'clock, and Mr. Song came around 8 o'clock, so I went out with my friends." Liao Feng's oppressive feeling was too strong, always making him nervous and speechless.
After listening to what he said, Liao Feng turned to look at Song Xuexi, asking her if it was true. Song Xuexi said: "Yes, brother, don't be so mean to the child, you scared him." She also reached out and rubbed Ruan Xingfeng's head, watching Liao Feng out of the corner of her eyes to observe his reaction.
Liao Feng kept staring at Ruan Xingfeng's head that was being touched, and gave Song Xuexi a look. She sensibly carried the child upstairs.
As Liao Feng pressed on step by step, Ruan Xingfeng felt anxious and uneasy, not quite understanding why he had made him angry again.
Liao Feng: "Why did you let her touch you? Why don't you listen to me?" He put his arm around Ruan Xingfeng's waist and pushed him down on the sofa. Ruan Xingfeng subconsciously put his arm around his neck and didn't know what to say when he questioned her. Liao Feng's anger was always so inexplicable that he couldn't understand it.
Seeing that he was so silent, Liao Feng pinched his waist hard with his hand. Ruan Xingfeng almost cried out in pain, and buried his face in his chest to stop the sound stuck in his throat.
Liao Feng: "Tell me, where did you go, who did you meet?" He lowered his eyes to glance at Ruan Xingfeng's waist and found that there was a large red spot on the waist.
Ruan Xingfeng was sulking and didn't say anything. No matter how hard Liao Feng tried, he remained indifferent. Finally, Liao Feng got annoyed and didn't clean up for him. He just left him on the sofa and went upstairs.
Ruan Xingfeng turned over and leaned his back against the sofa, reaching out to grab the coffee table, hoping to use the coldness to reduce the heat in his body and wake himself up.
It took him a long time to get up from the sofa and struggled to go upstairs. He found that he was still too useless. He had just been bullied by Liao Feng and now he was back to him. Liao Feng was awakened by the sound of the door opening, but he didn't look up and pretended to be asleep quietly, wanting to see what Ruan Xingfeng was doing.
He closed the door carefully without making any sound, quietly got on the bed and snuggled into his arms, his slender arms wrapped around Liao Feng's waist, and his bony fingers rested on Liao Feng's small back.
Liao Feng felt his movements and felt all the blood in his body rushing to his lower abdomen, but he reminded himself in his heart that if an adult man couldn't resist such a temptation, what kind of man would he be?
He thought so, but his arms had already stretched out to hug the person in his arms tighter. He didn't know if Ruan Xingfeng did it on purpose, but he just had to rub against him in his arms. His desire had just subsided with great difficulty, but it was aroused again by Ruan Xingfeng.
Liao Feng turned over and pressed Ruan Xingfeng under him again. Ruan Xingfeng was frightened by the sudden change. He looked at him anxiously with his deer eyes and said in a small voice: "Sir, this is the third time. I have classes tomorrow morning." His pleading voice and eyes were a greater temptation to Liao Feng. He could not care about anything now and could not hear anything. He just wanted to have fun with the deer under him again.
Liao Feng: "If I continue to endure, I will not be a man." As the words fell, Liao Feng's body also fell down. Ruan Xingfeng didn't know when he fainted, he just felt very tired.
In the next room, Song Xuexi and the human cub "Qu'er" were engaged in a final showdown of willpower. As the clock slipped towards midnight, the tenderness in Song Xuexi's eyes gradually gave way to a furious, "I can't hold it any longer" look.
At this moment, she heard some indescribable noises from the other room. Her ears pricked up, and her anger shot up to the top of her head. In her mind, she cursed Liao Feng's ancestors for eighteen generations: "Beast! Beast! Liao Feng, you beast!"
But her hands didn't stop moving. She resigned herself to her fate and picked up Qu'er, whose face was red from crying, and gritted her teeth to start a new round of coaxing her to sleep. While mechanically patting Qu'er's back, she "deeply brainwashed" this little kid who couldn't understand a word:
"My dear, Qu'er, did you see that? Your dad," she lowered her voice, her eyes sharp as a knife, as if imparting some unparalleled secret, "Liao Feng! That shameless guy! He only knows how to bully your dad! He's simply not a human being! Remember, honey, when he's old and lying in bed whining..." She solemnly pulled up Qu'er's soft little hand and made a meaningful "pull" gesture in the air, "His oxygen tube is relying on you! This is your sacred mission!"
Unfortunately, Qu'er didn't hear a single word of her passionate speech about her "future revenge plan."
The little one's eyelids were drooping, and his head was pecking at rice, but he just wouldn't fall asleep! Who was this "weird aunt" holding him? I didn't know her! It was so scary! Then, the deafening cry once again became the main theme of the room.
Song Xuexi stared at the "humanoid self-propelled noise-making machine" in her arms with mixed feelings.
Fun? A little bit, yes. But the ability to sustain a long-term battle was completely beyond her comprehension!
"Oh my God..." she wailed, feeling as if her soul was being drained by the sound of her sobs. "This is much more difficult than those wolf cubs in the training camp who howled for meat in the middle of the night! Ten times more difficult than that little lion cub that insisted on having a bottle in its arms before sleeping! Even more frustrating than that tiger cub that used the sofa as a scratching board!"
Qu'er fell asleep just before dawn, at about the same time as Ruan Xingfeng in the next room.
Liao Feng kissed the person in his arms a few more times before going to work. Ruan Xingfeng was in so much pain that he couldn't get up. When he woke up, the nanny had already arrived and was taking care of Qu'er downstairs.
Ruan Xingfeng held on to the wall and moved down the stairs step by step. The pain in his waist was as if it had just been run over three times by a ten-ton truck.
He now had only one simple wish in his mind: to find something to eat, to save his almost empty stomach, and to soothe his battered throat. It felt like he had swallowed a whole box of red-hot charcoal.
Aunt Huang, the nanny, was tidying up in the living room. When she heard the noise, she looked up and immediately put on a warm and professional smile. "Hey, good morning, Mr. Ruan! Are you up?"
Ruan Xingfeng: “…”
He opened his mouth, but only a little "ho ho" sound like a broken bellows leaking air came out of his throat. The pain made him grimace instantly, and natural tears almost burst out.
Liao Feng was so cruel that his throat was almost pierced.
Facing Aunt Huang's earnest gaze, he could only nod weakly and slightly, his expression a mixture of pain, embarrassment and a kind of despair of "please don't ask".
He even wanted to raise his hand to make a "don't bother me" gesture, but the moment he moved, his sore waist muscles were affected, and he gasped again, although still without making a sound.
Ruan Xingfeng felt that his throat was not broken, but his soul was about to leave his body.
Ruan Xingfeng didn't dare to make Liao Feng angry again, not for anything else, but just for his own safety. Liao Feng was so angry that he lost all his rationality. Ruan Xingfeng couldn't help trembling when he thought of the scene last night. There was a bowl of steaming soup on the table. He drank it with great gratitude. His stomach and throat felt much better. He couldn't go to school, so he lay on the sofa and prepared to rest for a while. Qu'er automatically found his position and climbed onto his belly to play.
Ruan Xingfeng's waist was hurt even more by her weight, but he didn't say anything and let her continue playing. The little girl patted his belly with her little hands and bit his fingers, having a lot of fun.
At this time, his noisy roommate called again. When he answered the phone, the other party's voice came over. Fu Hangxing: "Xingfeng, are you in love? You really are becoming less and less focused on school lately. Tell me, is it that beautiful woman who has bewitched you, or is it your idol?"
I don’t know what’s going on over there, it’s very noisy, like a vegetable market. Ruan Xingfeng is used to staying in a quiet environment and is a little impatient with the noise.
Ruan Xingfeng: "I'll tell you everything else when we get to school. I'm not feeling well right now." He tried several times to make a sound, but he couldn't even believe the sound he made. There was silence on the other end of the phone for a few seconds, and then there was an explosive howl.
Ruan Xingfeng immediately threw his phone aside, covered Qu'er's ears, and held the child in his arms for fear that she would be frightened. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Qu'er did not look scared. He picked up the phone again and wanted to curse, but he did not want to show his bad side in front of Qu'er, so he swallowed the greeting that was about to come out of his mouth.
Ruan Xingfeng: "Fu Hangxing, I don't have time to argue with you." After saying that, he hung up the phone. Fu Hangxing looked at the black screen of the phone speechlessly. He didn't understand why Ruan Xingfeng was so abnormal, and his voice was really wrong, but since Ruan Xingfeng said that, he didn't bother him anymore.
In the hospital outside of Liao Feng's happy life, Xu Nuoyan, the cold mountain, fully played the role of a bootlicker and did things that were not in line with his own character.
At 7 o'clock in the morning, Xu Nuoyan appeared on time in front of the office specially built for Ran Yian. He was holding a lunch box in his hand, and his face looked like a carefully carved ice sculpture.
But the hand holding the file bag betrayed him. He was not as calm as he looked. He delivered meals like punching in every day. Every time he received the meal, Ran Yian would say with a smile, "Xiao Xu, don't bring me food every day." And every night, he could see lunch boxes forgotten in the office.
Seeing Ran Yian coming over, all his uncertainties and thoughts about whether it was worth it disappeared in his heart the moment Ran Yian appeared.
There was no one and no idea in his eyes, only Ran Yian. He was gentle and polite but with a distant attitude. He always taught like an elder. Xu Nuoyan's love at first sight lasted for 14 years.
He has spent countless days and nights relying on the photos he drew. Now that person is back, even if he has no good feelings towards him and no good attitude towards him, he is still willing to be what the young nurses call a "suck-up" and is willing to stick to Ran Yian, not for anything else, just because that person is Ran Yian.
Ran Yian felt a little uneasy when he saw Xu Nuoyan looking at him without saying anything. He just couldn't understand why this person was obsessed with him, an old man who was almost 40 years old.
Ran Yian: "Xiao Xu? Is there anything else you want to say?" No matter what he was thinking, he remained gentle and polite on the surface, without revealing any flaws.
Xu Nuoyan was pulled back into the cold corridor of reality by his gentle yet distant voice.
He forced himself to move forward with his lead-like legs, and each step he took on the smooth and cold floor tiles made a slight but clear echo.
At this moment, a few deliberately suppressed discussions, but particularly clear due to the empty corridor, entangled like barbed silk threads and drilled into his ears:
"Tsk... See, it's Director Xu again..." A young female voice, with a hint of disbelief and surprise, the ending tone was very low, but it rose slightly due to excitement.
This was followed by another more cautious male voice, which was almost whispered: "...He is here regardless of rain or shine, more punctual than punching a clock in...that insulated box doesn't look cheap." The tone was mixed with the excitement of having discovered a secret and a subtle, unnoticeable mockery of the "flower of the high mountain" falling from the altar.
"Shh - keep your voice down!" The third voice reminded hurriedly, with a bit of nervousness, but then couldn't help joining in, lowering the voice even lower, but more sharply, "...What's the use? Director Ran's attitude is as polite as if he were treating a courier... A flower of high mountain? Ha, I think so..." The last few words were almost caught in his throat.
But the vague syllables of the extremely insulting word "daotie" pierced Xu Nuoyan's auditory nerves very clearly like a poisoned ice cone.
"That's right... What kind of person is Director Ran? Gentle and refined, sure, but that distant vibe... Tsk, tsk, it's been ten years, huh? Director Xu's energy... really..." The original female voice drifted back, sighing with a kind of indifferent, watching-the-show feeling, "... It's totally not worth it. What's the point?"
These sounds did not come from one place, but like mold growing in a corner, coming from different directions, perhaps from a nurse who had just passed by pushing a treatment cart.
It could be a resident standing at the nurses' station pretending to organize medical records, or it could be someone floating out from the half-open door of the office next door.
They gathered intermittently, sometimes high, sometimes low. They deliberately avoided Xu Nuoyan's path, but cleverly used the corridor's echo structure to prevent him from completely blocking it out.
Every word, every vague syllable, precisely hit Xu Nuoyan's most sensitive nerve.
"Paying for nothing", "not worth it", "what's the point", "courier"... these words combined together formed an invisible knife with barbs, repeatedly scratching the self-esteem he tried hard to maintain and the cold shell built up by his ten years of courage.
Ran Yian also heard those words. Although he didn't have a good impression of Xu Nuoyan, he naturally felt uncomfortable when he heard others say that about him. He took the file bag and gently tapped the wall to indicate that he had heard everything and should shut up.
The voices suddenly quieted down. Xu Nuoyan thought that he was hallucinating, but he didn't expect that Ran Yian also heard them and was willing to help him.
Ran Yian: "Xiao Xu, I've already made it clear to you. No matter how many years pass, my answer will remain the same. I won't like anyone younger than me." His words made Xu Nuoyan feel more uncomfortable than any other ridicule.
Xu Nuoyan: "Brother An, can we go inside and talk?" He said some things clearly, wanting to save face for himself. Seeing his serious look, Ran Yian could only walk into the office with him.
In the office, Ran Yian sat in the office chair, flipping through the medical records, waiting for Xu Nuoyan to speak.
Xu Nuoyan: "Brother An, when I was 18, I told you I liked you, and you said you were young and ignorant." He paused here, as if he was organizing his words and observing Ran Yian's reaction.
But Ran Yian didn't react. He just looked at Xu Nuoyan quietly. He took a deep breath and continued, "Now I'm 28 years old and still say I like you. Do you still think I'm young?" As he finished speaking, Ran Yian twisted the pen in his hand and looked up at Xu Nuoyan, signaling him to continue.
Xu Nuoyan stood up, creating a gust of wind, and in two steps he was in front of Ran Yian. He didn't rush to speak, but first deliberately moved closer to the side of Ran Yian's neck, his nose almost touching the other's protruding Adam's apple, feeling the muscles tense at that moment, and then he spoke softly, the voice wrapped in air and drilled into Ran Yian's ears: "Brother An, I can't catch up with you at your age."
He paused deliberately, and lightly brushed Ran Yian's knee with his fingertips. Seeing her eyelashes tremble violently, he continued, "You said you were almost forty, but I'm thirty too. What's ten years old? If you're willing, I can make up for the ten-year gap in your bed right now."
Ran Yian's ears instantly turned red, and even the back of his neck turned a thin layer of red.
His anger quickly flared up, and he raised his hand to slap him. How dare this brat be so vulgar now? But just as his hand was raised in the air, it suddenly stopped.
Xu Nuoyan looks aloof, but he is actually a hooligan. He was a little worried that if he hit him, the other party would lick his palm, but in the end he endured it.
Ran Yian: "Stop acting like a fucking gangster and change back to your pure love self. If you continue like this, I will sue you for sexual harassment!" In the end, he was still angry and punched Xu Nuoyan on the head. Xu Nuoyan returned to his seat and continued to look at him.
He thought to himself how nice it would be if it would always be like this. Xu Nuoyan's liking for Ran Yian was not just emotional, but physical. He would not flirt with others like this, let alone do such hooligan behavior. It was just that when facing Ran Yian, he wanted to get close to Ran Yian, wanted to have physical contact with him, wanted to be ambiguous with him, and entangled with him endlessly.
Ran Yian felt uncomfortable when he looked at her, so she threw the folder and told him to get out. Xu Nuoyan didn't continue to pester him and got up and left. Ran Yian looked at his back and became more and more angry, thinking that this kid was becoming more and more of a gangster.
