Bai Ye looked at the red box on the chair and blinked.
"Thank you, Mom."
Mom sat down again, patted his head again, and said gently, "What are you thanking me for? We're family."
Bai Ye felt warm in his heart. Suddenly, he remembered something and said hesitantly, "I have offended two mayors. You should leave as soon as possible."
At this time, Xiaobao on the side spoke.
"Brother, you may not know this, but Dad is very powerful. The mayor doesn't dare to touch us."
Bai Ye looked at his father.
Dad's eyes twitched, but he still nodded to him, which meant he agreed with Xiaobao's words.
Mom also said something.
"Don't be afraid, go ahead."
Bai Ye nodded and checked the time on his phone. It was 11:10.
Mom noticed his movements and looked at Dad.
Dad put down his chopsticks.
"Let's go, pack up and dad will take you there."
Bai Ye stood up, picked up the red box, and walked to the black cat who was eating.
"Put it in."
"Meow~" the black cat called out, opened its mouth wide and swallowed the box.
Bai Ye did not avoid his family. There was no need to do so because they were all family now.
He had nothing to pack, as everything was in the black cat's stomach.
My parents went into the house together, and I don't know what they did...
Bai Ye came to the sofa and sat down waiting for them, then his sister came over.
She sat down next to Bai Ye, looking at the belly of the black cat lying on her brother's lap with some reluctance.
"Brother, if you are in danger, take out the doll and she will protect you."
Bai Ye looked at his sister, reached out and touched her little head, with the corners of his mouth slightly raised.
"Thanks."
My sister is a dull person. When her brother touched her head, her cheeks flushed and she hummed in a depressed tone.
Soon, my parents came out of the room. They had changed their clothes and looked more formal.
Mom waved to Bai Ye.
Bai Ye called the big yellow dog and the black cat over, and said goodbye to his grandmother and his younger brothers and sisters with his parents. After a minute of warm time, they left home.
The moment he walked out of the door, Bai Ye saw a familiar figure under a big tree not far away.
The dirty and black Tan Wu was punching the trunk of the tree again and again. The poor tree was shaking as if it would fall down at any time.
Bai Ye withdrew his gaze feeling a little guilty. His parents noticed his action and looked towards where Tan Wu was.
Tan Wu disappeared into black smoke, seemingly having escaped...
Bai Ye's eyes flickered a few times, and the corners of his mouth rose unconsciously.
Goodbye, Tan Wu~
…
The other side.
Near the stone gate of the town, a group of selected people stared eagerly at the outside of the stone gate. From a distance, they looked like a row of husband-waiting stones.
Ah, this metaphor is a bit inappropriate~
Lin Ye, Leon, Ian and others were looking in the other direction.
They are all waiting for the white night.
Lin Ye looked down at the time on his phone. It was already past eleven fifty. Why hadn't anyone arrived yet?
Several partners waited anxiously. Ian put his hands together and communicated with his God, asking if Bai Ye had gone to his place, and if so, to return him quickly...
In fact, Bai Ye was just chatting with his mother in the car, and he was so engrossed in the conversation that he forgot to send a message to report that he was safe.
He also did not forget Secretary No. 1 and No. 2, and asked his parents to take good care of them and not let Tan Wu and Jiang Wen kill them.
Finally, it was twelve o'clock.
A familiar yellow bus appeared outside the stone gate, and a black car was slowly approaching from the other side of the road.
Everyone present breathed a sigh of relief.
Some of the chosen ones were almost unable to contain their excitement and wanted to rush out, but they all remembered Bai Ye's words and did not dare to act rashly. The reason they were able to hold on until now was not only because of the help of the veteran chosen ones, but also because they were obedient themselves.
Those who are disobedient have now been completely assimilated, wearing smiling masks.
At the same time, the black car stopped ten meters away from the crowd.
Bai Ye got out of the car.
He faced everyone's gaze, walked against the light, and almost blinded their eyes.
The cat and dog beside him were like two bodyguards, striding behind him.
The little black car didn't leave until Bai Ye was halfway there and remembered to turn around and waved to them before leaving.
Bai Ye came to his companions and nodded to them. Then he walked in front of a group of chosen ones and cleared his throat.
"Register to get on the bus, and don't write the wrong name."
After he finished speaking, the crowd burst into cheers and endless expressions of gratitude.
Bai Ye returned to his companions and reminded them again, telling them not to write the wrong name.
This was a hint given to him by his mother when they were in the car. She didn't say it directly but he had already guessed it. He couldn't help but sigh in his heart that there were pitfalls everywhere in the rules of weird stories.
The other people looked at Bai Ye with shining eyes, as if they were looking at a rare treasure.
Leon tutted.
"Tsk, I don't know what your talent is, but it's really amazing."
Ian nodded repeatedly.
Bai Ye hummed, thinking to himself: Damn, I envy you guys, and you envy me...
The other chosen ones were still standing there looking at Bai Ye and the others, obviously wanting to wait for them to go out first.
Bai Ye looked at the bus outside the stone gate and waved to everyone.
"Let's go home."
After he finished speaking, he walked out. Lin Ye and a few others walked side by side with him, followed by a group of selected people. The team was huge.
There are more than seventy survivors, which is the highest survival rate in history except for the first year.
