Chapter 192: Ghost haunting?
Lin Jiu entered his room and locked the door first.
The layout of the room was similar to Todd's room. Lin Jiu put the box on the coffee table and took a look around the room.
Finally, a small black object with a red glow was taken out from under the base of the sofa.
It was actually a monitoring device.
Lin Jiu stood up, looked at the monitor in his hand, snorted coldly, and crushed it directly.
Small black fragments fell to the ground, and Lin Jiu opened the box, took out the exorcist uniform inside and put it on.
Unexpectedly, it was a set of clothing similar to that of a Christian, but without the robe design, it had a shawl design that reached above the elbows. If it had been a robe design, it would probably make Lin Jiu's waist look thinner.
There were two golden crosses hanging on the small corners on both sides of the shawl, different from the two slightly blackened crosses in the box.
Lin Jiu could sense a very strange aura from above, but since there was no danger, Lin Jiu didn't care.
The whole garment is close fitting but not tight, just like the suit, it fits very well. Lin Jiu moved around a few times and found that it was very convenient to move, and the shawl was not that much of a hindrance.
After changing his clothes, Lin Jiu put all five tubes of holy water into the bag hanging on his waist.
He wore a cross necklace around his neck and another one on the strap of his small shoulder bag.
He wore the demon-detecting bell on his right wrist.
As for the silver dagger, Lin Jiu simply took it in his hand and started playing with it.
After changing clothes, time is almost up.
Lin Jiu walked slowly to the balcony. His room overlooked the backyard of the castle, which was still deserted. Lin Jiu did not see anything strange.
Not finding anything, Lin Jiu went out.
Charles and Ivan had already changed their clothes and were waiting for him. When they saw him come out, they went downstairs together.
After a brief discussion, the three of them decided to take a look at the living room and utility room first.
On the corridor, only the candles on both sides provided light for the three people. It seemed that only a part of the old castle had electricity. The sound of footsteps echoed in the quiet corridor.
Some are so quiet that it makes people feel uneasy.
However, the three people walking here are all old players, and Lin Jiu and Ivan are even "veterans", and they do not show any fear at all.
Judging from their postures, each one was more relaxed than the other, but only Lin Jiu was truly relaxed.
Charles and Ivan were both secretly alert. If you look closely, you will find that they were constantly observing their surroundings along the way.
The three of them first came to the reception room.
There were no candles or lights here. Lin Jiu groped in the dark to find the light switch and pressed it.
Warm lights came on, and a large reception room appeared in front of the three of them.
Lin Jiu glanced at the bell on his wrist and didn't react at all.
He didn't find it strange, as nothing major would happen on the first night.
The three of them were searching aimlessly in the living room. They didn't know what they were looking for, but they were just looking.
"There's nothing." Ivan began to lose his patience.
"Then go to the utility room and have a look."
Lin Jiu felt that there was no need to waste time here any longer, so he made a suggestion.
Charles did not object.
As expected, the three found nothing in the utility room.
But before leaving, Lin Jiu looked back at the utility room.
After that, the three of them went to the living room and dining room, and also went to the kitchen, but still found nothing.
When they returned to the living room, the team responsible for the second floor was already sitting there.
Todd said to meet here after patrol.
Lin Jiu sat down in the main seat without any hesitation. He leaned his head on his shoulder, listened to other players chatting, and waited quietly for the group from the third floor to come down.
However, before Todd came down, a strange noise came from the direction of the restaurant.
Perhaps due to the distance, the magic-detecting bell did not respond at all.
There seemed to be a sound of something falling to the ground. The players' voices stopped abruptly and they all turned to look in the direction of the restaurant.
"Do you want to go and see?" Charles asked Lin Jiu. He already had the intention to get up.
Lin Jiu stood up directly and said, "Of course."
He didn't let everyone follow him, after all, someone had to wait for Todd and the others in the living room.
So the group on the second floor was left behind.
Lin Jiu walked in front and they arrived at the restaurant after passing through a short corridor.
There was no change here, Lin Jiu could see it at a glance.
So he walked straight towards the kitchen.
Seeing this, Charles and Ivan immediately followed.
Arriving at the back kitchen, the magic-detecting bell still did not respond. Lin Jiu picked up the knife that had fallen on the ground and looked around.
The thing that made the noise seemed to have left, and Lin Jiu did not sense any remaining breath.
"He ran away." Lin Jiu frowned slightly and said with some regret.
Unexpectedly, as soon as he finished speaking, the sound of porcelain breaking was heard from the restaurant.
The three of them looked at each other and ran out at the same time in tacit understanding.
When we arrived at the restaurant, Todd and the others were there.
At this time, Todd was squatting on the ground, looking at the broken plates on the ground, touching his chin, not knowing what he was thinking.
Lin Jiu walked forward, took a look at the open cabinet door, and said, "It looks more like a ghost is causing trouble."
Todd nodded. "Indeed, that's what the Smiths' commission said. Perhaps there are other things in this castle."
Apparently, for some reason, Todd, like the guild, believed that the monsters here were most likely vampires.
Lin Jiu thought of the introduction of this copy.
The castle's original owner was a vampire... If vampires really existed, how did they hide? Did they transform into bats? Or...
"Did you find anything during your patrol just now?"
Todd's voice brought Lin Jiu back to his senses. He shook his head to indicate no.
The team on the second floor also found nothing.
Todd wasn't surprised. He picked up the pieces, closed the cabinet door, and glanced at the time.
"Patrol again in half an hour."
At this time, it was already around nine o'clock in the evening.
They returned to the living room. Todd had obviously become familiar with the players in his group, chatting and laughing with them. The others felt bored waiting and soon joined in.
Only Lin Jiu was walking around all the time.
From Todd and the others' perspective, Lin Jiu was admiring the paintings hanging on the walls of the living room and the vases placed on the cabinets.
Charles did not join in the conversation. He had been secretly watching Lin Jiu, and finally ran to admire the paintings.
Unlike Lin Jiu who was just observing around, Charles really went there with half appreciation in mind.
Born into an "aristocratic family", Charles has a bit of artistic talent, so he is naturally interested in these paintings full of Western aesthetics.
Until the end, Hicks and Christy, two players who were also from noble families, also joined this "appreciation team".
Lin is not very artistic and only knows what looks good and what doesn’t. 9:?
Lin Jiu silently tapped a question mark in the corner.
