Chapter 118 The Great Dream Has Not Yet Begun

"Are you deliberately picking a fight, kid?"

Yin Zhu slammed her hand on the table and stood up, glaring angrily at Wei Chuxing, who was wearing a professional smile.

I used the arm that wasn't injured.

Just over ten minutes ago, Yin Zhu clearly saw him chatting with the bob-haired guy—no, with Mu Yunsheng—as if they were going to talk from dawn till dusk. But in the blink of an eye, this guy has reappeared at this restaurant as a waiter. The level of suspicion has skyrocketed.

Let me double-check: is there only one Chosen One from Earth in this world of rules?

Yin Zhu's suspicious look made Wei Chuxing's smile seem even more genuine.

“If you have no other questions, please enjoy your meal…” No matter what Wei Chuxing wanted to say next, Yin Zhu interrupted him directly: “If there is a problem, why are you here? You don’t look like a normal amusement park employee.”

"You want to talk about normalcy in a place like this?"

Wei Chuxing seemed to have heard a joke, laughing so hard he bent over, but his vivid reaction made him seem completely different from the NPCs in the daytime illusion.

Gazing intently at his every move, Yin Zhu's expression gradually returned to calm: "What exactly do you want from me?"

Whether it was initially rescuing Yin Zhu as a hero or now working as a waiter, Wei Chuxing has always been proactive in approaching Yin Zhu, and his target seems to be himself.

If this were outside, even on Dawn Star, as long as it wasn't in Sin City, Yin Zhu could believe in the saying "a kind person speaks out against injustice." But there's no need to repeat the reason. Yin Zhu would never believe this coincidence. She now only suspects that she has been targeted by this person for a long time.

As for the reason... it's possible that when he was chatting with Jing Gui, others mistook it for him talking to himself.

If the eerie is a knife, then Yin Zhu, who carries the Mirror Ghost with him, is probably seen by the Daydream Amusement Park as someone who comes in with a knife and causes trouble.

Wei Chuxing was a little surprised by Yin Zhu's directness, but since they had already spoken frankly, he didn't beat around the bush any longer:

"I need your help."

Yin Zhu sized him up: "Are you the manager of the amusement park?"

"You're looking for the amusement park manager?" Wei Chuxing's smile faded slightly. "I'm not him, but I know where he is. I can tell you, but I need your help first."

Without even thinking, Yin Zhu nodded immediately: "Okay."

She added:

"So, can we talk while we eat? Where did you hide the food I ordered?"

Wei Chuxing: "..."

“Your food will be served shortly, but I have to leave before it arrives. I can’t have any contact with other regular staff,” Wei Chuxing quickly explained. “I used to work here, but I was fired by my supervisor for violating the rules and became one of the tourists. You’ve worked elsewhere, so you should know that once you leave a job, you automatically become the lowest level.”

Yin Zhu originally intended to drink the beverage while listening, but only after holding it did she realize it was strawberry juice. So, she angrily pushed the cup aside and continued listening to Wei Chuxing's story with a sour face.

"You should notice that employees of different colors have different jobs, and the uniforms help them avoid being targeted by the eerie creatures in the amusement park. I survived in the amusement park by stealing a spare set of clothes."

Wei Chuxing pointed to the clothes she was wearing.

"However, it's not as simple as becoming a tourist and surviving in six different places to get out. This is a conspiracy by the supervisor!" Wei Chuxing said with a sinister look. "When you collect all six stamps and go to the entrance, you'll find that your sign-in card has turned into a job application receipt."

"Then it says 'Congratulations on passing the test and becoming a member of Daydream Amusement Park.'" Yin Zhu rolled her eyes. "A pyramid scheme, huh? How many times have you been in this cycle?"

"The third time."

Wei Chuxing held up three fingers and answered seriously, "As a former employee, I know very well what pitfalls each amusement park has, but from the perspective of normally passing through an amusement park, it's practically impossible to get out."

"Then how can I help you? Are you sure you don't want me to get involved and be chased around by full-time employees with my tail between my legs?"

Yin Zhu kept looking towards the stairwell, but the staff member who had been longing for her steak and corn juice didn't come up. She seriously suspected that this was a fixed plot in the amusement park section of the Sin City dungeon, where Wei Chuxing wouldn't let the waiter come up until he finished his lines.

"No, you can help me." Wei Chuxing looked at Yin Zhu with utmost seriousness, a hint of deep affection even appearing on his otherwise ordinary face: "Although I could tell you had absolutely no fighting skills when facing the clown, you were able to think of sacrificing your arm to gain a better situation. You are smart and brave, so you can definitely help me!"

"What kind of elementary school student's lines are these..." Yin Zhu felt increasingly abrupt.

Yin Zhu was muttering to herself, but Wei Chuxing still heard her and immediately looked a little embarrassed: "Ahem, not everyone is as lucky as you. Some people don't have many opportunities to learn... Anyway, when you collect all six stamps, I'll be waiting for you at the Ferris wheel. Please make sure to put the Ferris wheel last."

He glanced frantically at the stairwell, where he heard clear footsteps. After saying "See you next time," he ran to the window and jumped out.

Yin Zhu found it hard to describe her feelings about being forced to do this task, so she could only focus on her lunch: "Um, waiter, could you please throw this strawberry juice and hamburger away for me? I don't know who put them on my table."

The employee in blue put down the steak and corn juice, quickly cleaned up the food, and left in a hurry.

"Hao Xun, what do you think of that man?"

Jing Gui finally found a chance to say something and jumped directly into Yin Zhu's corn juice.

"...Does this count as taking a bath with my drink?"

"No, I don't really have a physical form."

"My assessment is that this person is quite the dreamer. His own name—Wei Chuxing—sounds like he's in a deep sleep," Yin Zhu remarked while cutting his steak.

"What? Aren't you tempted?" Jing Gui asked curiously.

"If you don't move, my heart will die."

Yin Zhu had to admit that the restaurant was pretty good. The steak was tender and juicy, and when drizzled with black pepper sauce, the spiciness and meaty aroma blended together, enhancing the flavor. The mild spiciness made her heart race.

As we all know, spiciness is a type of pain.

Therefore, Yin Zhu likes black pepper sauce, which has a spicy flavor but is not overpowering, making it a perfect choice for someone who likes both vegetables and spicy food.

After all, as the saying goes: a little pain is good for the soul, but a lot of pain is bad for your health.

"With outsiders around, how could I dare to move?" Jing Gui explained with a distressed and aggrieved expression.

"He's not an outsider, is he?" Yin Zhu raised an eyebrow, looking at the ghost in the corn juice. "Is he the manager of Daydream Amusement Park?"
