Chapter 78 Falling into the Water

Just as Louis was brainstorming, Ms. Maria walked over with a female security guard: "Where's Claude?"

"He! He fell in!"

Louis pointed frantically to the pond, "Ms. Maria, Claude is still in the water! Please save him!"

Louis grabbed her arm and shook it, earnestly pleading with Teacher Maria.

The security guard next to her rolled up her sleeves and strode into the pool. The water at the edge of the pool wasn't deep, only about thigh-deep. The security guard cautiously stepped into the pool little by little, and after taking a few steps, she suddenly held her breath and plunged down.

The water was still for less than a minute when the security guard came up carrying a little boy.

Claude, lying in her arms, looked like a sleeping child. He was soaking wet, with mud on his face, and his complexion was as pale as a sheet of paper.

"She's out of breath."

The security guard didn't put his body on the shore, but turned and walked straight towards the office building: "I have to go and tell them."

Throughout the entire process, Ms. Maria remained completely still.

After the security guard left, Ms. Maria looked down at Louis, smiled, and took his hand: "Let's go back."

"Teacher...why isn't Claude awake?"

"Don't worry, he's just asleep."

"But I just looked in the pond and saw that his body was gone. There were only some small fish in the pond! Could he have been eaten by the fish?"

Hearing Louis's words, Maria's expression turned somewhat unpleasant: "Louis, we don't raise fish in our pond. Are you seeing things?" She even showed a hint of worry, touching Louis's face with a forced smile: "You seem a little hot. Are you hallucinating because of a fever?"

"Maybe so..."

The thought of the pond without his reflection always frightened Louis, and he resolved to stay away from that pond.

"You must remember, there are no fish in our kindergarten pond."

Teacher Maria told him again with utmost seriousness.

Although he didn't know why she was so nervous about this, Louis nodded in agreement, secretly noting the question in his mind and suspecting that it was related to the rules for faculty and staff.

...

Yin Zhu also encountered a situation where a little kid was walking towards the pond.

The difference is that Louis only has Maria as a teacher, while Yin Zhu has both her and Teacher Huang.

Seeing the child's condition, Yin Zhu patted Teacher Huang on the shoulder and said, "It looks like a child has gotten close to the pond. I'll go check it out."

Teacher Huang's attention was mostly on the other children, and she only casually said, "Be careful not to let the children fall, otherwise we'll get scolded at the meeting on Saturday."

She was referring to a teaching seminar.

You will need to submit your lesson plans at the weekly teaching seminars every Saturday.

Yin Zhu nodded, and after getting away from Teacher Huang and the others, she secretly communicated with the mirror spirit hidden in her eyes:

"Mirror Ghost, someone is heading towards the pond."

"I saw it without you saying it. Your eyes are my field of vision. If you saw it, then of course I saw it too. Do you think I'm as blind as you?" Jing Gui never missed an opportunity to mock Yin Zhu.

"Then, just like we planned, give him a surprise."

Yin Zhu tiptoed and discreetly followed the little boy.

“You’re really not human. You’re one of us, aren’t you?” Mirror Ghost was greatly shocked. “No wonder you came to Sin City. There isn’t a single good person here. I’m purer and kinder than you.”

"Only you weirdos can say such things without blushing. You think you're kind?"

Yin Zhu teased.

The Mirror Ghost completely ignored Yin Zhu's sarcasm, because its attention was entirely focused on the little boy. It had many secrets it hadn't told Yin Zhu, including what it had gained when it ate the Water Ghost in the pond.

The little boy had an image of a girl in his mind, or rather, he had seen that girl fall into the water with his own eyes.

"Come on...brother...come find me..."

The Mirror Demon imitated the girl's voice, using its newly acquired power to transmit the voice directly into the boy's heart, enticing him to approach.

"Brother...I'm so cold..."

The boy approached the pond step by step.

He leaned out and looked at the not-so-clear pond, and vaguely saw the reflection of a girl in the water.

The girl's reflection reached out to him: "Brother, can you pull me up?"

The boy instinctively reached out and touched the cold pool water. Ripples started from his fingertips, suddenly shattering the girl's reflection in the water, and then turning into the boy's own reflection.

"younger sister!"

The boy instinctively stretched his body forward, wanting to look more closely into the water, searching for his sister's figure.

The next second, he seemed to be frozen in time.

The boy could clearly see that behind his reflection stood two adults with strange smiles: one was Teacher Huang, and the other was the new Teacher Hao.

He didn't even dare to look back.

Like bubbles rising from the bottom of the water, one baby head after another appeared, all staring at the boy with identical, mechanical smiles.

A pair of dull eyes twitched, seemingly looking behind the boy.

Then, the two people in the reflection reached out their hands.

The boy suddenly felt someone push him. Feeling dizzy and disoriented, he lost his balance and fell into the water.
