Chapter 86 Louise

Louis spent some time in the bathroom reflecting on his previous mistakes, became more vigilant, and returned to class after tidying his clothes.

There weren't many classes in the morning, and soon it was lunchtime again.

Roll call, handwashing, serving rice... After a few days, Louis was already very familiar with the process. After the teacher served him his meal, Louis buried his head in the bowl and began to eat in silence.

Louis felt like there was more food than before, perhaps because there were fewer people in the class.

He quickly finished his meal, then ran to the large bucket of rice with his small bowl in hand. He stood on tiptoe and peered inside, but all he saw was an empty bucket with a few grains of rice stuck to the wall. Clearly, he was too late again.

Dejected, Louis returned to his seat with his bowl in his arms. Looking at Alan's bowl, which was half full of fresh rice, Louis couldn't help but feel envious of his eating speed: "You eat so fast."

Alan winked at him and said with a sly smile, "Next time you can also go for a refill after eating only half."

These words made Louis realize immediately what loophole he had exploited, and he couldn't help but smile bitterly. It was his own fault for being so inflexible; he hadn't thought of such a simple method, and now he had no choice but to go hungry.

While eating, Alan whispered to Louis, "Why do you eat so much? Wouldn't it be better to always be a child?"

Louis didn't immediately understand what he meant.

Alan realized what was happening and whispered, "If you don't eat adult portions for a long time, your body will quickly adapt to children's portions and you'll integrate into the kindergarten better."

"And what about you? Why do you eat so much?"

Louis found it strange.

When asked about Louis's question, Alain's eyes gleamed with ambition: "Because... I want to be a teacher."

Louis nodded, seemingly understanding but not quite.

It seems that if you want to be a kindergarten teacher, you need to maintain the energy intake of an adult; otherwise, your body will gradually degenerate and you will eventually become like a kindergarten child.

Having figured this out, Louis subconsciously looked at Said, who was being held in the teacher's arms and fed by him bite by bite.

Louis hadn't paid much attention to this before, but now that he thought about it, those silly boys really didn't have a strong appetite; some even needed the teacher to urge them to eat. As for Alice and the others, they were probably already used to kindergarten life and didn't want to leave, so they had accepted that their bodies had become like that of preschoolers.

It seems I really should eat more to maintain the energy my adult body needs.

If Alain hadn't mentioned it, Louis would have almost forgotten that he was just a child who had been turned from an adult by that strange headmaster, and his body actually still needed the weight of an adult.

As Louis pondered his next plan, he suddenly spotted a familiar face.

It was that handsome boy.

No matter how many times Louis saw the boy's beauty, it always amazed him, like Narcissus in Greek mythology, so beautiful that he should drown in a pond while admiring his reflection, and eventually transform into a graceful daffodil.

"Why aren't you eating?"

Sometime later, Ms. Maria walked up to Louis and urged him to eat quickly: "If you don't eat, you won't be able to eat anymore when it's time."

Louis, having regained his composure, took the opportunity to ask his teacher, "Ms. Maria, who is he?"

"who?"

"It's that boy standing at the cafeteria entrance."

As soon as he said it, Louis felt the surroundings seemed to grow colder. Even Alan, holding his rice bowl, moved to the side, pretending not to know Louis.

Ms. Maria's expression changed slightly. She glanced at the cafeteria entrance several times, her smile becoming somewhat forced. "What are you talking about? I didn't see anyone at the cafeteria entrance. Louis, are you hallucinating because you haven't eaten enough?"

Louis readily agreed, "Yes, teacher, please give me a bigger serving next time."

This time, however, Ms. Maria didn't seem inclined to talk to Louis much. She didn't even bring up the topic of "the boy at the cafeteria entrance" again before rushing off to check on the other children's meals.

After eating, the children will usually wash their hands at the children's sink. Most of the conscious children are fine, but the children whose minds have become like toddlers often get their hands dirty.

Louis had encountered a situation where the tap water was red once before, but Maria quickly turned it off.

After that, it seems that nothing unexpected happened.

As Louis washed his hands, he kept an eye on the liquid flowing from the faucet, and secretly breathed a sigh of relief when everything seemed normal.

Suddenly, a hand poked his waist.

Caught off guard, Louis was startled and instinctively dodged forward, bumping his stomach into the sink. He then clutched his stomach and looked at the person who had poked him.

What comes into view is a delicate, doll-like face.

He is a handsome boy.

Suddenly, Louis felt as if a cold wind was blowing against his exposed neck. Seeing the boy's resentful expression, his unease and sense of warning grew stronger.

Seeing the boy so close, Louis opened his mouth several times, trying his best to greet him naturally:

"Hello?"

The boy didn't answer him, but instead suddenly asked, "Do you want to become an adult again?"

Louis instinctively showed ecstatic joy and nodded.

The boy's delicate face drew even closer, his eyes seemingly filled with complex emotions.

Emotions? Louis subconsciously used his innate skill, but the next second, he regretted it. A strong wave of negative emotions surged from the boy's body like a tidal wave, gushing into Louis's mind and causing his brain to shut down.
