He paused for a moment, then asked, "Can we order now?"
Wen Qi shook her head. "Please abide by all the rules and regulations of this manor. You will be responsible for any consequences of violating them."
No sooner had Wen Qi finished speaking than Ling Xiao came downstairs.
He had seen Wen Qi go out to greet Zang He earlier, and he saw it all clearly.
"Hello, you'd better do as our beautiful estate owner says. Following the rules isn't difficult, and it's for your own good."
Ling Xiao rested one hand on the escalator and held a glass of water in the other, looking at Zang He with a calm and composed demeanor, much like a cool and aloof nobleman.
The burn scar on his face only added to his pitiful appearance.
Then, facing Wen Qi beside him, he nodded slightly in greeting before turning and going back upstairs.
He muttered to himself, "He's average-looking, but pleasing to the eye. However, the master probably wouldn't want a subordinate like him; he's not as approachable as I am."
