Bai Sang glanced over and remembered his ultimate weapon.
A wrench appeared in Bai Sang's hand.
She placed the wrench on the oddly shaped screw, and the wrench automatically changed shape.
One minute later.
"It's open."
After Bai Sang finished speaking, she lifted the loose door.
Below is a space that is only one cubic meter in size.
The space was completely empty.
Bai Sang was a little puzzled. "There's nothing there."
The lucky doll, which was slowly turning white, suddenly began to struggle violently.
"That's my place, close the door!"
Bai Sang instinctively closed the door.
With tears welling up in its eyes, the lucky doll said, "That's my mother's concern for me."
"Grandpa Village Chief said that he keeps his mother's thoughts about me in this place, and when I miss my mother, I come here to visit."
Bai Sang felt a pang of anxiety upon hearing this.
Do you know who your mother is?
The lucky doll now looks no different from the lucky dolls in the village.
"I know, but the one outside doesn't. He's so stupid, it's fine if he doesn't know."
"Anyway, whatever's wrong here won't affect those above."
A certain guess was about to emerge in Bai Sang's mind.
"The bad stuff is all down there?"
Qin Minglang followed up on what the lucky doll had said and spoke up.
"Yes, didn't you know? Didn't Grandpa Village Chief tell you?"
Bai Sang stepped forward and pinched his chubby little arm.
Has anyone else been here?
The lucky doll shook its head, "No, it's just Grandpa Village Chief and you guys."
"I've changed so much now, I don't know if Grandpa Village Chief will still tell me stories like he used to."
Bai Sang wanted to say something, but then, while eating meat but not garlic, she glanced at the time.
"It's 2:47, we should go."
Bai Sang didn't say anything, but pinched the chubby little arm again.
"We're leaving."
The lucky doll, however, hugged her hand.
Goodbye, sister.
Bai Sang had a feeling that something was wrong, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
"It's really time to go."
The reminder to eat meat but not garlic came again from behind.
Bai Sang patted his head, gave him a bunch of small cakes, and then left the mirror world with the others.
The water rippled slightly, and Bai Sang turned around to look.
The voice that came from behind was old and familiar.
What are you doing here in the middle of the night?
Gone was his usual kindness; the old village chief's voice was stern and cold.
"Let's take a walk by the water."
If you eat meat but not garlic, you should immediately start talking.
“Uncle Village Chief, we think Taoyuan Village is really good under your leadership. We are hesitating whether to stay. With you as the village chief, Taoyuan Village will definitely get better and better.”
Bai Sang was amazed by the saying "eat meat but not garlic".
As a result, Qin Minglang's words almost made Bai Sang choke.
"Yes, no one but you is suitable. No one else is fit to be the village chief."
The old village chief's shadow was stretched long by the moon. He lowered his head, and in the darkness, no one could see his expression.
"You are all very good."
The old village chief bluntly uttered four words and turned to leave.
Bai Sang breathed a sigh of relief and took out the blessing registration form.
"Holy crap?"
Shocked and bewildered, Qin Minglang and the meat-eater-not-garlic eater leaned closer.
Le Yuan yawned and looked at his long, slender fingers against the moon.
"The old village chief gave us his blessing."
After Bai Sang finished speaking, she looked at the two men in front of her with admiration.
"You two are really talented."
I thought I would have a hard time getting the old village chief's blessing, but I got it so easily.
The remaining task was to win over all the villagers.
They returned to their own courtyard and rested for a while.
After sunrise, the villagers began their day's work.
As soon as Bai Sang and the others stepped out of the courtyard, they saw the newly risen sun being slowly shrouded by dark clouds.
The sky seemed to have returned to its previous darkness.
"What happened? Why did it suddenly get dark again?"
Chunfen stopped moving the spinning wheel, somewhat puzzled.
"Sister-in-law, let us help you put it inside first."
Bai Sang stepped forward and helped her put away the spinning wheel.
Afterwards, they helped the villagers pack up their belongings.
Is it going to rain this hard so early in the morning?
Bai Sang looked up at the dense dark clouds in the sky and murmured to himself.
"It's not raining."
Le Yuan stood beside Bai Sang, his expression stern.
"It's like a divine punishment."
When Bai Sang first saw Le Yuan like this, she seemed a little worried, a little... scared.
The old village chief hurried over, his face terribly grim.
"Everyone go home and close the doors and windows tightly."
He looked at Bai Sang and the others with an icy expression.
"Did any of you go into the water?"
"No, no, if we go in, we'll be punished by never being allowed to stay in Peach Blossom Village again." The person who said "eat meat but not garlic" shook their head before Bai Sang could finish, saying, "No, no, if we go in, we'll be punished by never being allowed to stay in Peach Blossom Village again."
Bai Sang: ……
Bai Sang nodded.
The old village chief snorted coldly and turned to walk towards the riverbank.
His steps were light and agile, showing none of the panting he usually did.
However, before he even reached the riverbank, clear water gushed forth with bursts of black mist.
The old village chief's panicked eyes gave Bai Sang a bad feeling.
"Why, why did something go wrong? Is Heaven going to destroy my Peach Blossom Village?"
He roared.
Bai Sang suddenly remembered the lucky doll from the mirror world.
She understood.
The evil thoughts of the villagers of Peach Blossom Village were sealed in the mirror world, but now, the mirror world has collapsed.
