Chapter 168 The Silent Manor 10

The three questions left Bai Sang speechless for a moment.

"You're right, I put the flowers there. I love your mother."

"But you're wrong about the last sentence. I don't want to strangle you."

“Your mother loves you very much. If I strangle you, I won’t be able to face her in the afterlife. So I have to protect you.”

"As for the women in the manor, it's not that I'm targeting you specifically; I just don't want that man to have an easy time."

A crack finally appeared on Shen Yuan's face.

"You and my mom are siblings!"

Uncle Shenyuan's expression was strange.

"I was adopted, didn't you know?"

Bai Sang finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Thank goodness.

I told you there would be a plot twist!

[What a dramatic tale! I loved my older sister but was forced into an arranged marriage, and after her death, I took care of her son.]

He happily pulled out a bag of spicy strips and continued watching the show.

[Shen Yuan's uncle has had a tough time too.]

How many people had it easy back then?

Everyone was deeply moved.

Bai Sang's gaze fell on the woman inside the stone coffin.

She is really beautiful, and has a gentle and quiet beauty. No wonder Uncle Shenyuan likes her.

"Let's not talk about the past. Anyway, I almost had my legs broken by your maternal grandparents because I was trying to prevent your mother from marrying into the family."

“I was not allowed to visit your mother until she became pregnant.”

"I was content as long as she was living a good life, but I never expected her to pass away so soon."

"I was serious when I wanted to take you home and raise you."

Shen Yuan listened silently, and only looked up at him after a while.

"I know you genuinely care about me."

"So, you can take my mom with you."

Uncle Shenyuan wiped away his tears, looked at the stone coffin in front of him, and carefully picked up the already stiff person inside.

"My mother's body has remained intact for so many years because that man placed her at the core of the great formation within the manor."

"Uncle, if you take my mother away, the great formation will cease to exist."

"Don't you want to know what kind of grand formation this is?"

Uncle Shenyuan looked down at the lifeless woman in his arms, a happy and content smile on his face.

"I don't want to know. What I want most is already by my side. I don't want anything else."

The moment Uncle Shen Yuan led Mother Shen Yuan out of the cellar, the entire manor trembled.

Countless wisps of black energy disappeared from the manor, and even Shen Yuan himself had wisps of black energy on him.

Bai Sang watched all this in surprise, and then went to the ground with Mo Yuan.

The fountain had dried up, the trees had withered, and the buildings looked as if they were covered in a layer of dust, extremely gloomy.

Everything was restored to how it was when they first came in.

Where did they go?

Shen Yuan knew who Bai Sang was asking about, and smiled as he spoke.

“I should know. I’ll ask when we get back.”

"Don't worry, my uncle is very capable."

Bai Sang was slightly taken aback when she saw the smile on Shen Yuan's face.

Shenyuan has changed.

Shen Yuan himself was unaware of the changes in himself. He frowned and looked around the manor.

"Let's go back and have the housekeeper tidy it up; it hasn't been used in so long."

"I'll bind it to you, so that if you have nowhere to live in the ghost stories, you can live here."

Bai Sang wanted to refuse, but couldn't bring herself to say it.

This is really necessary.

"Shen Yuan, don't you think you've changed?"

Bai Sang thought for a moment, then said something.

Shen Yuan didn't quite understand what Bai Sang meant. He thought for a moment and then said, "I feel like I've become much more relaxed."

“I know that there are still people who care about me, my mother and my uncle.”

As Shen Yuan spoke, he glanced cautiously at Bai Sang, his face slightly flushed.

"For example, you."

A faint white light flashed by.

Shen Yuan's eyes suddenly became unfocused.

He swayed for a moment before regaining his balance.

"I upgraded, and so did I."

The excitement in Shen Yuan's tone made Mo Yuan's expression instantly turn ugly.

According to Chi Yuan, he confessed his feelings to Bai Sang, which gave him the opportunity.

But he kept confessing his feelings to Bai Sang, so why didn't he level up?

Even the most ruthless person, Shen Yuan, has leveled up.

He doesn't understand, he really doesn't understand.

Bai Sang was quite happy.

"Upgraded? That's great! You and Chi Yuan are both Grandmaster-level monsters now."

"If there's nothing else, let's go back."

Bai Sang glanced at her phone; three days had already passed.

She has three more days before she goes to the new ghost story, and she wants to get some rest.

Bai Sang had the housekeeper bring in the strange creature to clean up, then went to see Song Xiaofu, briefly greeted Eating Meat But Not Garlic and Qin Minglang, and went upstairs to rest.

She glanced at her points and saw that they were still steadily increasing, so she nodded in satisfaction.

After washing up, Bai Sang lay on the bed and fell into a deep sleep.

I slept soundly until dark.

In the dimly lit room, Bai Sang felt warm and cozy around her.

Looking closely, I saw that the little black dog and the giant cat had jumped onto my bed at some point.

"Why did you two come here?"

Bai Sang raised her hand and touched the two little ones.

"Are you hungry? Let's go downstairs and eat."

When the light was turned on, Bai Sang was surprised to see that the giant cat's color had changed.

"Hey, Giant Kitty, why did your color change?"

The current giant cat is pure white.

There wasn't a single other color on its entire body.

Its blue eyes make it look especially beautiful.
