"I want to go in and take a look."
Bai Sang looked around to make sure there were no beastmen present before turning to Mo Yuan.
Mo Yuan tossed away the disinfectant wipes, did not answer Bai Sang's question, and took two long strides to walk to Bai Sang's side.
"You're the wife the old man found for me?"
He raised his hand, his icy fingers pinching Bai Sang's chin.
"He's so-so looking, yet he dares to order me around. He's got some nerve."
Bai Sang leaned back slightly, freeing her face.
"Mr. Mo, the Qing Dynasty is long gone. Now you are the one who will live and die with me."
"In other words, you are my weirdo, so it's not a big deal for me to order you around."
Mo Yuan stared at Bai Sang without saying a word.
A pair of dark eyes were fixed on Bai Sang's face.
"Woman, I'm the one who needs to protect you in crucial moments. How dare you talk to me like that?"
Bai Sang: ……
Could it be that all the domineering CEOs are seriously ill?
"Man, don't forget, I'm the one who let you out."
Not to be outdone, Bai Sang then pointed to the door covered in moss.
"I'm going in. You protect me, or if I die, you'll die with me."
Mo Yuan stood there, then suddenly sneered.
"very good."
He followed behind Bai Sang, watching her carefully push open the door and go inside.
The main house was very dark and the air was unusually humid.
Bai Sang even heard the faint sound of rushing water coming from somewhere.
What was that sound?
In the silence, the sound of singing could be heard.
Mo Yuan scratched his ear.
"You can still hear a couple of sentences up ahead."
Outside the main house, the sound of flapping wings could be heard.
And there was the sound of the chicken-headed man howling.
"They must have gone in; that rabbit wanted to go in anyway."
"But we can't go in here."
"Yes, we agreed back then that no one could come in here."
“We’ll wait here. If she can go in, she can come out.”
"But what if the secret inside is discovered..."
The chicken-headed man didn't continue speaking at that point.
Bai Sang didn't hear them continue their conversation, but she heard the door open.
"Walk."
Without hesitation, Bai Sang quickly left in the direction Mo Yuan pointed out.
She needs to find the rules for passing through these places where unexpected things might happen, and she has to go there.
"Who did you call out?"
On the way out, Mo Yuan followed Bai Sang with his long legs and asked.
Bai Sang turned her head to listen to the sounds behind her and answered in a low voice.
"Gu Yuan".
Mo Yuan thought for a moment, "That professor?"
Bai Sang nodded and glanced at the long corridor ahead.
Where is the sound of the singing coming from?
"Turn right ahead."
Mo Yuan casually remarked, then immediately asked, "Did you go to Sangyuan Manor? Where does he stay?"
The singing grew closer, and Bai Sang no longer cared about Mo Yuan's question.
"Found it."
The scene before him stunned Bai Sang.
She even thought she had wandered into a studio from a science fiction movie.
Huge glass jars, a work surface so clean it's spotless.
Whether it was not turned on or out of power, the large screen reflected her and Mo Yuan's figures.
Countless threads, each about the thickness of a little finger, were connected to the glass jar.
There's also a mermaid singing and flapping its tail in a glass jar.
My goodness, what have I seen? A mermaid, a living mermaid!
[Blue tail, blue eyes, blue hair, oh my god, she's so beautiful.]
[Following the streamer has really broadened my horizons; this dungeon has truly shattered my worldview.]
[A captive mermaid, a human who accidentally stumbles into the world—what a beautiful love story.]
Wake up! Look, this mermaid has breasts, she's a woman, just like the streamer!
Gender is not an issue; the lilies in our hometown can now bloom!
Bai Sang stared blankly at the mermaid in the jar, her blue tail swaying, looking at her with curiosity, unable to come to her senses for a moment.
Mo Yuan raised his hand and waved it in front of her eyes, somewhat displeased.
"You haven't answered my question yet."
"You'll see when you get back."
Bai Sang replied absentmindedly, his gaze meeting that of the mermaid with her wide blue eyes.
"Hey, humans."
The mermaid's beautiful voice came from a small speaker outside the glass jar.
Bai Sang touched the rabbit ears on her head.
"I am not human."
The mermaid laughed and flicked her tail, splashing up a few sprays of water.
"Your fake ear can only fool those stupid guys outside."
"Human, what are you doing here? Have you seen the manor owner? How is Big Beard alright?"
Bai Sang's intuition told her not to strike up a conversation easily.
She didn't answer the mermaid's question. She looked around the room and finally her gaze fell on a piece of paper on the control panel.
Bai Sang gestured for Mo Yuan to put the paper away and asked curiously.
"How long have you been here? Are you alone?"
The mermaid flicked her tail and raised her snow-white arms to catch the water splashing from her tail.
"It's been a long time, and I've been all alone. Do you want to stay and keep me company? Even though there's no one else here, it's very safe."
Bai Sang looked around, a strange feeling rising in her heart.
"No, I still have to go out and raise pigs, otherwise what will I eat?"
A hint of displeasure flashed across the mermaid's face.
