Bai Sang didn't quite understand what he meant.
Why are you so distant with me?
Bai Sang opened her mouth.
【Huh? Shen Yuan still has the nerve to ask?】
[His attitude was rude. Look at how that young man treated him, and then look at himself.]
[There's no need to compare him to younger, more adorable men; all the other fiancés are pretty good.]
Yeah, doesn't he realize it?
[How strange. The good thing is having self-awareness, but it seems Shen Yuan doesn't.]
However, it's much better than the first ghost story; I feel like he's making changes.
[Let's remain silent for now and wait to see the results of his revisions.]
Bai Sang roared inwardly.
Why are you so unfamiliar with this? Don't you have any self-awareness?
However, Bai Sang absolutely could not ask these questions.
"Because we're not very familiar with each other."
Bai Sang considered it for a moment before speaking.
"Well, we barely exchanged a few words in the last ghost story, and this one has only just begun, right?"
Shen Yuan stared at Bai Sang for a long time before smiling.
Bai Sang laughed so hard she got goosebumps.
"Okay, I understand."
He strode forward.
Qin Minglang cautiously approached Bai Sang.
"What did my older brother know? His laughter scared me."
Bai Sang remained silent.
To be honest, she was a little scared too.
She'd rather Shen Yuan do nothing than cause any trouble.
Shen Yuan walked ahead in a sullen voice, and Bai Sang had no idea what he was thinking.
She didn't want to think about it anymore.
Seeing that the group following them were eating meat but not garlic, Bai Sang simply changed the subject and asked in a low voice, "Any hints about tonight's banquet?"
I'm a bit confused about whether to eat meat or garlic. "Not yet, I'll just have to adapt as things go."
He looked at the two of them, "What exactly does the landlord mean?"
Bai Sang thought for a moment, "What were the circumstances when you rented the house?"
The man who eats meat but not garlic suddenly looked up and said, "This landlord was introduced by another manager."
"He's not a player."
Bai Sang frowned. "Take a good look tonight and see if that manager is here."
“I had a feeling that something was off about this dinner.”
After changing her clothes at home, Bai Sang and the others walked together in the direction indicated on the note.
Shen Yuan followed them at a distance that was neither too close nor too far.
Bai Sang patted the little black dog in her backpack, then suddenly seemed to remember something and put the little black dog into her pocket.
What if they don't allow bags?
The place agreed upon by the landlord was a small villa with its own entrance and yard.
At the entrance, a young-looking child was standing there handing out flyers or similar materials to everyone.
Bai Sang walked over, took the sheet, and saw several points of attention written on it.
These are not rules, just points to note.
1. You cannot refuse any invitation from your host.
2. No conflicts with other guests are permitted.
3. Please bring a gift that pleases the host. If you have no gift or it is not to the host's liking, please leave one of your belongings at random.
Leaving aside the first two points, Bai Sang's gaze fell on the third.
"What gift? We talked about a gift yesterday?"
Qin Minglang shook his head, "Yesterday, they didn't say anything except the location."
Without hesitation, Bai Sang took out four red envelopes.
"Give them a red envelope. Whether they are human or ghost, they should all love money."
Sure enough, upon seeing the four red envelopes, the landlord's face lit up with satisfaction.
"Make yourself at home, have fun tonight."
Bai Sang stood by the window, watching the person walk into the huge living room.
“They are all strange beings; apart from you few, there are no humans among them.”
Shen Yuan walked to Bai Sang's side and spoke softly.
When he met Bai Sang's gaze, his ears turned slightly red.
Bai Sang nodded. "Is there anything wrong with this house?"
Shen Yuan pondered for a moment, "I'll find an opportunity to check. If you encounter any danger, remember to call me."
Bai Sang concealed her surprise and nodded with a smile.
After Shen Yuan left, Eating Meat But Not Garlic and Qin Minglang came over.
"Boss, where did Brother Shenyuan go?"
Bai Sang glanced at the stairs. "Going to gather information."
The two didn't dare to say a word. As they were talking, the landlord stood in front of the crowd, holding a wine glass.
"Thank you all for attending my banquet. Please make yourselves at home and don't be shy."
His smile was stiff and rigid, making people feel very uncomfortable.
"Don't worry, everyone. The most popular show will be broadcast tonight."
"We'll start warming up in half an hour, so please get ready."
Seeing the undisguised fervor and anticipation on the many strange faces, Bai Sang and the other two exchanged bewildered glances.
Eating meat but not garlic seems to reveal something.
"I'll go find someone to inquire about the situation. You all wait here for me."
As he spoke, he walked toward a large man with a stiff smile.
"This seems to be the other manager."
Qin Minglang spoke in a low voice.
Bai Sang's eyes searched the surroundings.
This feeling of being kept in the dark and knowing nothing made her very uneasy.
Bai Sang casually picked up a glass of wine and, when no one was looking, replaced it with a safe drink she had redeemed from the store. She then walked towards the woman closest to her.
"Hello, my name is Lilith, I've noticed you for a long time."
Bai Sang was stunned for a moment.
"You're obviously a newcomer, so I can't help but pay more attention to you."
Lilith raised her glass. "Are you curious about what the program is later?"
