Chapter 99 The Peach Blossom Spring 3

The entire village was immersed in joy and peace.

The two players who came later also stayed inside and didn't come out; the one who ate meat but not garlic went to knock on the door.

Hello.

One of the male players cautiously opened the door, glanced at the man who said "Eat meat but not garlic," and asked warily, "What is it?"

Those who eat meat but not garlic immediately begin their conversation.

Bai Sang stood not far away, looking at the villagers.

They seemed completely unaware that time was running out and they were about to face an attack.

"Sister Chunfen, what is everyone busy with at this time?"

Bai Sang ignored Chunfen's waving arms and went over to start a conversation.

"Hey, you've arrived! Perfect timing. In our village, we always eat dinner together. You've just arrived, so you probably haven't prepared anything. Let's eat together in a bit."

Bai Sang considered many possibilities, but he never expected that with a formidable enemy at hand, they would actually have to eat dinner.

"Sister-in-law, is this the time every day in our village when we prepare dinner?"

Bai Sang's question brought a smile to Chunfen's face, and she began to introduce Bai Sang.

“Our village is simple. In the morning, everyone goes to farm, spin thread and weave cloth. In the afternoon, everyone rests at home. Around this time, they start preparing dinner.”

As Chunfen spoke, she pointed to the large pots set up at the door of each household.

"Look, everyone is ready. Don't worry, everyone in our village is nice. You can eat at any of their houses."

Bai Sang smiled and nodded.

Turning my head, I saw dark clouds already appearing on the horizon.

"It looks like it's going to rain. Oh dear, I just got everything ready, I hope it doesn't rain."

Chunfen, unable to speak to Bai Sang any longer, went to help the surrounding families pack up their belongings.

Qin Minglang stared at the clouds for a while, then said, "There's something in those clouds."

As they spoke, the clouds slowly drew closer.

Bai Sang finally saw clearly that these dark clouds were made up of patches of black insects.

"Clatter".

An insect fell to the ground.

Bai Sang glanced at it; it looked somewhat like a black scale insect, but it had a long mouthpart that resembled that of a mosquito.

Scale insects are known as plant vampires, but now it seems these scale insects might become human vampires.

Sure enough, the insect's head twitched twice in the air after landing, and it quickly crawled towards Bai Sang and the others.

It was incredibly fast; almost in the blink of an eye, it reached Bai Sang's feet.

Bai Sang raised her leg and stomped on it until it burst.

I have a phobia of insects, I'm scared.

My goodness, these streamers have amazing mental fortitude.

[This bug is terrifying. If it poked someone on the head with its mouth, wouldn't it suck out their brains?]

If it were me, I would have screamed, rolled my eyes back, and fainted long ago.

I feel a chill down my spine...

The comments section erupted in screams of terror, and the sound of a child crying loudly came from in front of Bai Sang.

Bai Sang looked up.

A big-headed child clutched his leg and cried loudly.

Just as Bai Sang was about to step forward, there was a series of crackling sounds of insects falling to the ground beside her.

A ground covered with black insects.

"Use fire."

Bai Sang threw down those two words and ran quickly toward the crying child.

None of them were dressed in white; they were all good people.

Even if it's for the sake of the future, she has to help this child.

Pinch the insect by the back half, Bai Sang lit a lighter and gently heated the insect's tail.

The insect's mouthparts were instantly pulled off the child's leg.

Bai Sang breathed a sigh of relief and threw the insect on the ground to stomp it to death.

The child shook his head as he went to find his parents.

Bai Sang then noticed that the villagers of Taoyuan Village, looking at the army of black insects in front of them, were actually kneeling down and praying for them to retreat.

“You all kneel down quickly. This is a warning from heaven. Only by praying for heaven’s forgiveness can these insects leave.”

Among the kneeling villagers, several were already covered in black insects, letting out shrill screams.

Bai Sang stood calmly opposite the villagers, watching them with a detached expression.

"Do you really think that's the case? Your villagers are about to die."

Qin Minglang had already taken out a flamethrower and fired at the insects.

He put his phone back in his pocket, quickly stepped forward, and a flamethrower appeared in his hand as well.

"Bright, behind you!"

Qin Minglang turned around abruptly, and a tongue of fire passed by his face.

The scorching heat made him feel instantly cooked.

He casually apologized for not eating garlic after eating meat, and flames shot out again.

The insect seemed to sense the threat and pounced on the two of them.

Behind him, Bai Sang unleashed flames from his hands, burning the swarms of insects to ashes.

The army of insects seemed a little angry. Instead of falling, they huddled together in mid-air, their buzzing sound reaching Bai Sang's ears and making her head buzz.

"They are gathering their strength and seizing the moment."

Le Yuan's words jolted Bai Sang awake.

The three flamethrowers sprayed directly at the insects without regard for the consequences.

The insects that had just gathered together immediately shed a layer of skin.

Next comes the second floor, the third floor...

In the end, they could not withstand the erosion of the flames and fell to the ground one by one, their six legs trembling as they silently looked up at the sky.

The villagers of Taoyuan Village were stunned by what they saw.

"Dead, dead."

"Will Heaven punish us?"

"But, but what did we do wrong that we have to be punished like this?"

"Never mind, I can't watch my child die."
