Chapter 682: Strange Crowd in Commercial Street

The quilt on the bed was in disarray and the clothes in the closet were scattered all over the floor.

He looked at this miserable scene, his heart filled with uneasiness, which made Chi Yaoyang extremely angry, and the feeling of uneasiness in his heart became stronger.

He looked up and saw the female staff member holding a sharp knife, slowly approaching him.

Chi Yaoyang stood in the room, staring at the knife in the female staff member's hand.

Suddenly, the sound of a dog barking was heard in the restaurant, clear and pleasant.

This sudden voice cut through the noisy atmosphere. Everyone was stunned and stopped what they were doing.

Especially the female staff member, she looked up in the direction where the sound came from and her expression became nervous.

The barking of the dog not only interrupted the female staff member's actions, but also gave Chi Yaoyang a chance to catch his breath.

He immediately took advantage of this precious opportunity, took a few steps towards the door, and prepared to make a final attempt.

In the tense atmosphere, a male staff member pushed open the door of the room and walked in.

The male staff member walked into Chi Yaoyang's room holding a cute puppy in his hand.

Smiling and friendly, he began to tidy up the messy room, playing with the dog from time to time.

Chi Yaoyang watched the male staff tidy up the room with ease and confidence, and he couldn't help but feel a little surprised.

The male staff member looked at the dog tenderly and communicated with it in a gentle tone.

"How are you, little guy? You must have caused a lot of trouble to your father today, right?"

He stroked the dog's head and neck tenderly.

The dog is also very lively and is very dependent on the male staff.

It wagged its tail and stuck out its tongue, as if responding to the male staff member's words.

This scene was in stark contrast to the knife-wielding female staff member before, making Chi Yaoyang feel a little safer.

After the male staff member finished tidying up the room, he turned to the female staff member and said, "Now it's your turn."

The female staff member was taken away, and Chi Yaoyang felt much more relieved.

He sat quietly on the bed, his eyes inadvertently falling on a zoo flyer on the bedside table.

This seems to have been left by a female staff member.

He raised his hand and took the flyer and placed it in his palm, which showed a dog's head.

The dog's head looks incredibly real, as if it could jump out of the paper and lick people's cheeks.

Chi Yaoyang was deeply impressed by this paradise. He couldn't help but wonder, in this world of rules, perhaps dogs had some special meaning.

He sighed softly and put the zoo flyer back on the bedside table.

It's already twelve o'clock noon, time to go to the restaurant to solve the problem of food and clothing.

Chi Yaoyang stood up, straightened his clothes, and walked out of the room.

Just then, Popov came out of the room, looking a little tired.

"Are you going to the restaurant too?"

Chi Yaoyang asked.

Popov nodded. "Yes, I'm hungry too. Let's go together."

The two walked side by side in the spacious corridor, the sunlight shining through the large windows onto the floor, forming stripes of light and shadow.

They were silent, but they could feel each other's uneasiness.

Chi Yaoyang and Popov pushed open the door of the restaurant, and a tempting aroma hit their noses.

The hall is brightly lit and beautifully decorated, with tables filled with a variety of mouth-watering delicacies.

Chi Yaoyang and Popov were surprised to find that the hall was full of people, all of them expressionless and soulless.

Near a table, a woman was concentrating on fiddling with her knife and fork in the air, while the man next to her was staring at his plate in silence with his head down. They looked dull and lifeless.

"Is this Jin Changyue?"

They continued to look around and found that the people at other tables also had no reaction.

“What…what’s going on?”

Popov looked confused. "Why do these people look like they have been deprived of their souls?"

Chi Yaoyang frowned and looked at the players around him who had been transformed beyond recognition with a puzzled look, his heart full of curiosity.

He wanted to know why people who lost the game became soulless beings.

They walked to a table and sat down as if no one was around.

Popov grabbed his hair and frowned. "This is so weird! The person who lost the game before should have died. How could it turn out like this?"

"Let's eat first."

The two walked to the counter, and Chi Yaoyang noticed that there were hundreds of dishes on the menu.

He frowned, thinking that according to the rules he only needed to take a bite to taste, but with so many dishes they still felt they could not finish them all.

Popov scratched his head and asked hesitantly, "Do we really have to take a bite and try every dish? This is too much."

Chi Yaoyang nodded after a moment of silence: “Yes, we must abide by the rules.”

Chi Yaoyang picked up a pair of chopsticks, his eyes fixed on the food in front of him, his expression still cold and emotionless.

Popov looked at the table filled with all kinds of meat and felt a little helpless.

Although they are not required to eat these meaty foods according to regulations, the visual temptation is still unbearable.

The varied delicacies with good color, aroma and taste are mouth-watering.

He frowned, wondering what to do with these tempting but tasteless dishes.

“These look so delicious, it’s a pity that we can’t eat them.”

Soon, Chi Yaoyang and Popov sat together and finished the food in their bowls.

He and Popov came out of the restaurant and wanted to explore the weirdness of this world.

He saw the hustle and bustle on the commercial street and decided to go and take a look.

There were crowds of people, and various shops and stalls attracted customers.

Chi Yaoyang was careful not to get close, while Popov circled around him and was also cautious not to get close to the crowd.

Suddenly, a group of staff members in strange costumes approached Chi Yaoyang.

“Go!”

Chi Yaoyang's heart was filled with alarm and he immediately pulled Popov back.

They quickly moved away from the group of strange staff and came to a corner of the commercial street.

"What should we do now?"

Popov asked with some concern.

Chi Yaoyang took a deep breath and thought calmly about his next move.

"We need to find a safe place to hide out and wait for the situation to calm down."

The two quickly walked through the busy streets, looking for a suitable corner to hide.

Finally, at the end of the commercial street they found a small cafe that was closed.

Chi Yaoyang pushed open the door and went in with Popov.

They knew that the coffee in the cafe was not drinkable, so they declined the staff's invitation.

Through the window, Chi Yaoyang saw the people who were in chaos before suddenly running and dancing.

They sang and danced happily, as if they were participating in a special event.

Popov stared at the group of people vigilantly and whispered to Chi Yaoyang, "Brother, these people don't seem normal. Let's be careful."
