“A ghost town is a place where soulless people gather.”
"The road where this city is located does not exist on any map at all."
The image of the mysterious road he saw in his dream last night echoed in Chi Yaoyang's mind.
The road only appears at night and disappears completely during the day.
He speculated that perhaps the ghost town was on that road.
This idea gradually took root in his mind.
"I think we should go back and rest up until night comes."
Chi Yaoyang suddenly said.
Popov looked at him in confusion: "Why? Do you have any clues?"
Chi Yaoyang smiled slightly and told Popov his guess.
Popov frowned after hearing this: "It's still daytime, that road shouldn't appear yet."
Chi Yaoyang nodded: "That's right, let's go back and rest for a while, and then start the adventure again when darkness falls."
The two hit it off and returned to the hotel where they had stayed.
Night fell quietly, and the lights in the city gradually lit up. Chi Yaoyang and Popov came to the hotel balcony and looked up at the full moon rising in the sky.
"Wait a minute, I think I saw it!"
Chi Yaoyang suddenly shouted.
Popov turned his head nervously and looked at him: "What's wrong? What did you see?"
Chi Yaoyang pointed to a dark area on the horizon and said, "The road we saw last night should be in that dark area."
Popov blinked, and then he was eager to try: "Then shall we set off now?"
Chi Yaoyang shook his head: "Don't worry, we still need to make some preparations. This city is full of unknown dangers and forces. We must remain vigilant. Let's pack our bags first and make sure we have enough protection."
The two began to get busy, checking their equipment, preparing food and water, and taking some necessities.
When all the preparations were completed, it was already late at night.
Chi Yaoyang and Popov stood at the door of the hotel, staring at the gloomy area.
When the night completely enveloped the earth, there were no pedestrians on the streets around the hotel. Only lonely lights illuminated the empty commercial street.
The scene gives off a desolate vibe, as if the entire city has been abandoned.
Chi Yaoyang and Popov stood quietly in front of the hotel, looking at each other.
"We have to be careful." Chi Yaoyang reminded, "This city is a strange and dangerous world. We must remain vigilant."
Popov nodded and gripped his weapon tightly.
The two walked up the street in tacit understanding, looking for the ghost town in the dark.
They came to an empty commercial street and found that in addition to the original road, there was another road. The road was twisted and strange, and seemed to hide a secret.
"It seems that's the road leading to the ghost town." Chi Yaoyang said, his eyes fixed on the front.
Popov swallowed nervously, "Well, but we have to be careful before we get close. What if there's danger?"
Suddenly, the sound of fighting was heard from the front.
The two stopped immediately and focused their attention on the source of the sound.
They cautiously approached the location where the sound came from, and through the dim light, they saw a brutal battle.
Several figures were fighting in the moonlight, groaning muffledly.
"What's going on?"
Popov asked doubtfully, his eyes suddenly darkening.
Chi Yaoyang's eyes were deep, and there was no expression on his face: "Maybe someone else is trying to enter the ghost town."
Chi Yaoyang and Popov were driven by curiosity and quietly approached the place where the fighting sounds came from.
They carefully hid to the side and saw John engaged in a fierce battle with a group of seemingly soulless people.
The two sides' moves were dazzling. John was agile and every attack was accurate.
Although those soulless people are powerful, their moves seem stiff and mechanical.
Chi Yaoyang and Popov looked at each other and secretly thanked their lucky stars that they did not join the battle.
They took a few steps back in tacit understanding, hiding in the darkness and continuing to observe the development of the battle.
The two took the opportunity to sneak into the ghost town.
They walked cautiously down a street, sensing an evil presence in the air.
The moonlight shone on the empty streets, casting strange and distorted shadows.
The shops on both sides of the street were empty, and the fallen signs in front of the doors were shaking and making hoarse sounds.
The whole ghost town is filled with an atmosphere of deathly silence and horror, which makes people shudder.
Chi Yaoyang and Popov walked together tacitly, observing the surrounding situation intently.
"This place is terrible," Popov muttered, "I have a bad feeling."
Chi Yaoyang said nothing and continued walking forward with an expressionless face.
He looked up at the moon and remembered a sentence: "Being a silent and calm observer is the best strategy for survival."
He had to stay calm and not give the ghost town any chance to swallow them up.
Chi Yaoyang and Popov came to the entrance of the ghost town. They stopped and looked at the dark and eerie gate.
The door is inlaid with dragon patterns, looking ancient and mysterious.
Chi Yaoyang's eyes were cold and deep. He noticed that there were no rules or hints here, which meant that they could only explore with their own wisdom.
The two walked into the ghost town in silence. The neatly arranged houses on both sides of the street were now dilapidated.
The walls were covered with vines and dead branches that swayed in the moonlight.
