He tried to look for any clues, but there was nothing but fog on the empty streets.
After several attempts, I finally found the direction.
Chi Yaoyang walked back to the building carefully, looking for a place to avoid the fog.
When he pushed open the door and walked in, he found the building unusually quiet.
Just when Chi Yaoyang was feeling confused, he suddenly heard a faint moan.
He looked in the direction of the voice and saw a figure leaning against the wall, his face pale and tired, his eyes dull and standing at his post.
This person is the security guard.
"Uncle, are you okay?"
Chi Yaoyang walked forward and asked.
The security guard raised his head, a forced smile appearing on his pale face.
"It's okay, I'm just a little tired. Why are you still here? Wasn't the night market closed a long time ago?"
Chi Yaoyang's uneasiness grew, and he began to worry about the safety of other people in the building.
"Sir, is there anyone else in this building? How are they?"
The security guard shook his head and said, "I am the only one left here."
Chi Yaoyang frowned, feeling vaguely uneasy.
And the security guard obviously looked like he was under some strange influence.
Chi Yaoyang's uneasiness grew, and he began to anxiously try to communicate with the security guard, hoping to obtain some useful information.
He walked up to the security guard and asked with concern, "Uncle, have you noticed anything alarming? Has anyone mentioned anything strange?"
The security guard thought for a moment and replied with a wry smile: "Yes, there was a fire that burned everything, guilty and innocent, poor guy, he thought he was righteous, how could such revenge be justice."
"By the way, it all seemed to have started with the disappearance of that child."
After hearing what the security guard said, Chi Yaoyang frowned slightly and his expression became serious.
Is this the end? It seems to be related to the news.
The news gave him an inexplicable sense of uneasiness, as if some kind of connection was quietly forming.
He lowered his head and pondered for a moment, as if he was recalling some information.
Finally, he raised his head and stared at the security guard sharply.
"Can you tell me who the missing child is? I am very concerned about this news."
The security guard patted his head and said, "I'm sorry, I forgot to ask the child's name. Do you want to join in the search?"
Chi Yaoyang nodded. "Yes, did you notice where this case occurred?"
The security guard thought for a moment and said, "I don't know, and I don't want to know. It's been so long."
The security guard looked at Chi Yaoyang's serious eyes and couldn't help but feel a little worried. "Young man, you have to be careful. This case doesn't look simple. I advise you not to take risks."
"The missing child?"
Chi Yaoyang looked at the door on the right, and there was a child there.
When he knocked on the door of the room on the right side of the first floor, the soft laughter of children came into his ears.
He pushed the door open and saw a bright and colorful room where two children were playing.
When Chi Yaoyang saw the little kid rushing towards him angrily, he smiled slightly without any expression on his face.
He tapped the boy's shoulder gently to signal him to stop.
The younger child was unwilling to give up and continued waving his fists angrily.
"Little brother, calm down."
Chi Yaoyang said to the younger child in a calm and gentle tone, "I have no ill intentions."
The younger child stopped waving his fists, a look of doubt flashing in his eyes.
"Who are you?"
He stared at Chi Yaoyang warily.
Chi Yaoyang looked at the little kid with a determined look.
"I'm Chi Yaoyang, and I'm looking for someone, a missing child."
He showed no emotion.
"I believe you may know some clues. Please tell me."
"I won't tell you even if I know, unless you help me find a gentle father."
Chi Yaoyang ignored the younger child's question and turned his gaze to another corner of the room.
There, a tall child sat quietly at a table.
Chi Yaoyang's gaze shone through the bright light in the room onto the child's face, and an indescribable emotion emerged in his eyes.
He pointed at the older kid and said to the security guard, "Is that him?"
The security guard took a look at the scene in the room, hesitated slightly, then nodded and said affirmatively: "Yes, it's him."
Chi Yaoyang slowly walked towards the older child sitting at the table.
This child looks older than the younger ones, but his eyes reveal a calmness.
"But it's not him either." The security guard explained, "Can you help me find him now?"
Chi Yaoyang nodded and immediately had the answer.
He picked up the hammer on the table and walked towards the room on the left on the third floor without hesitation.
When Chi Yaoyang pushed open the door, a dull sound was heard.
The room was dim and dingy, with only a thin ray of light coming through the window.
There was a smell of blood in the air.
Chi Yaoyang nervously looked for clues and quickly searched the surroundings in the room.
His eyes swept across every corner sharply, and a hint of coldness flashed in his eyes.
Suddenly, his eyes stopped on a wall.
The wall looked ordinary, but Chi Yaoyang knew something was wrong.
With a strong intuition in his heart, he decided to use the hammer to see if he could discover any secrets.
He picked up the hammer and hit the wall hard.
After a muffled sound, slight cracks appeared on the wall.
Chi Yaoyang was delighted and continued to hit hard.
With each blow, the crack grew larger, until finally the entire wall collapsed.
Chi Yaoyang felt a premonition of bad luck in his heart, and he stepped into the broken wall with extreme caution.
As the wall collapsed, a corpse lying inside the wall quietly appeared before his eyes.
The corpse had been rotten beyond recognition and gave off a disgusting stench.
Chi Yaoyang felt a little nauseous, but he didn't back down.
He took out a gauze mask from his pocket and put it on his mouth, continuing to observe the corpse carefully.
Although it was impossible to identify what kind of person the corpse once was, Chi Yaoyang noticed that there was still a shiny ring on the skinny finger.
This ring seems to hold some important clue.
Chi Yaoyang carefully took it off and put it in a sealed bag for preservation.
He knew that this clue might be one of the keys to solving the mystery of the whole case.
At this moment, the security guard hurried over, looked at the body lying inside the wall in surprise, and then sighed deeply.
Heavy sorrow filled his eyes, and he whispered to Chi Yaoyang: "Now you can go to the next day."
After hearing what the security guard said, Chi Yaoyang's face became serious...
