In Han Xiaodong's view, his chances of winning the bet were quite high. Although the quality of the strange creatures Jiang Ran had seen far exceeded those of John and Burrough, in terms of quantity, the three of them were actually about the same.
Jiang Ran's initial hand of three cards included one [King of Devils], which can only be described as good luck. However, the probability of drawing another [King of Devils] from this almost endless range of strange creatures is extremely low.
"You two, place the strange creature in the designated location as I instructed! Don't just leave it anywhere!"
Encirclement and killing is not just about randomly throwing strange creatures near Gwen. That way, Gwen could quickly find a breakthrough point before being surrounded!
Han Xiaodong's first priority was to ensure that the encirclement was large enough so that each of the monsters would have enough time to provide support and avoid being picked off one by one. He made all the arrangements in less than half a minute, and Borre had to admit that this kid was a prodigy!
Should Jiang Ran let Gwen escape? If it were anyone else, they would probably just let their own weirdness die, but if Jiang Ran really wanted Gwen to escape, there were ways.
But he didn't intend to let Gwen escape, because there was no need for it.
[King-level Monster - Sloth]
To be honest, Jiang Ran was a little surprised to draw another [King of Devils] level card. Was it really because he was lucky? Or was it the asymmetrical competition that gave him an advantage?
Jiang Ran has drawn four cards so far, and all four cards are strange things he has personally seen. None of them are related to his predecessor!
Is it possible that the so-called eerie extraction range doesn't depend on the person, but on the soul?
In other words, Jiang Ran will absolutely not draw any of the strange events related to his predecessor! This is only beneficial to him, because since Jiang Ran came to this world, he has never entered a world below S-rank!
Even an ordinary staff member in a remote mountain inn, or any random "Zodiac" member on a floor, is at least an "Elite" level. If you go just a little higher, you'll be a "King of Ghosts"!
However, what Jiang Ran couldn't understand was that if the strange phenomena summoned on the chessboard were real, how could he possibly summon [Sloth]? After all, weren't the seven [Great Sins] already fused into one of the twelve gods, [Great Sins]?
Could it be that this god disintegrated himself while creating some other supernatural world? Well, it doesn't seem impossible.
Forget it, there's no time to think about it now. Jiang Ran can only summon [Sloth] first!
"Huh? Boss? What are you doing here?"
Sloth scratched his head. He currently had black and white hair and looked young, indicating that he was not in the state of losing the [Heart of Sin].
Back then, Sloth had intimidated the [Void Dragon], which shows that his strength was absolutely not weak even among the [Ghost King] level!
"There's no time to explain, just follow my orders!"
"Okay, boss, does this count as work?"
Sloth appeared instantly beside Gwen!
Han Xiaodong's heart skipped a beat. As Jiang Ran's old rival, he had naturally watched all of Jiang Ran's live stream replays in his spare time and knew exactly what level of existence Laziness was!
"Quickly! Get our strange creatures away!"
Four [Elite] fighters against two [Deceptive Kings], and they didn't even know how they died!
“Villance! Looks like you made the wrong bet.” John sneered, his eyes filled with distrust. “I’m starting to doubt whether putting you in command was the right decision. Let’s just go our separate ways!”
"Trust me one more time."
Han Xiaodong knew that if he wanted to win, he absolutely could not hand over command to this idiot, but he didn't have any strong evidence to refute it, so he could only say this.
"Trust you once? How can I trust you?" John slammed his hand down, forgetting he was in mid-air, and just pretended it was an air blast. "The facts are right in front of you!"
John had always disliked Han Xiaodong. All three of them were SS-level, so why should he be the team leader? If it weren't for the circumstances, he would never have teamed up with Han Xiaodong!
"Do you have a better strategy? Tell me, I'm all ears."
Han Xiaodong wasn't without temper either. He was wasting his brain cells giving orders while this bastard just stood by and made sarcastic remarks. If he were in charge, all the monsters on the field would probably be dead by now!
"Alright, alright, you two shut up." Burroughs interjected at the right moment. "It's only been less than half an hour, and you're already fighting amongst yourselves. After this game is over, you can argue all you want, I don't care."
"But now we are a community of shared interests. We lose together and win together. Arguing does us no good. Besides, the two of you keep switching between English and French, which really makes me uncomfortable."
"Alright, command is back to Velens. That's it, no one else say anything."
In Burroughs' view, Han Xiaodong's previous command was not problematic. It was Jiang Ran's unexpected use of the "Deceptive King" card that caught them off guard and disrupted their previous plans.
"Could he possibly pull out another [King of Devils] card...?"
"Brother, stop talking!"
Sloth and Gwen are old partners. The two split up to pursue, but they didn't spread out too much. Han Xiaodong could only disperse all the strange creatures on his side and try to keep the distance as much as possible.
Until the next hand was dealt, two more [Elite]-level cards died at the hands of Gwen and Sloth.
Currently, Jiang Ran's side has two [Ghost Kings], while Han Xiaodong's side still has two [Elite]s and one [Ghost].
"What do you think is the reason we've been consistently outmatched until now?"
Han Xiaodong suddenly asked the two of them.
John curled his lip: "What else can you do? You're no good."
"No, it's that we don't have enough trump cards; we don't have a truly powerful and eerie creature to keep things under control!"
"What can I do?" John shrugged helplessly. He had drawn another [Strange] card this round. That's just how luck is. What could he do?
"I performed as expected this round."
Burrough drew another [Elite] card, but even with another [Elite] card, it did little to help the game.
"It's okay, we have it now."
Han Xiaodong revealed his hand.
【The Demon King - Flying Zombie】
"No one is unlucky all the time, nor is anyone lucky all the time." Han Xiaodong squinted. "I've never believed in any metaphysics. Jiang Ran, can you produce another [King of Ghosts] card?"
"I'm going to start turning things around right now!"
