Chapter 46 Black Dog

They still know too little about ghosts. Even the most skilled person in disguise will eventually be discovered if they spend too much time with ghosts!

Now, the only thing to do is avoid ghosts as much as possible without arousing suspicion. If you really can't hide, then kill all the ghosts who recognize your identity to silence them. After all, as the saying goes, as long as you kill all the people who know the news, it's the same as keeping it a secret.

The streets were eerily quiet at night, not a soul in sight.

Jiang Ran needed to find someone to verify her idea.

As Jiang Ran continued walking down the street, he soon spotted a drunk man on the roadside. The man was holding a half-full bottle of liquor in one hand and staggering forward while hiccuping.

The two locked eyes. At first, the drunkard didn't take Jiang Ran seriously, but when he saw Jiang Ran reveal the same fierce expression as the aunt from before and lick her lips, the drunkard seemed to panic a little!

"Neuropathy......"

Although he said he didn't care, the drunkard immediately sped up and left, which made Jiang Ran wonder about the purpose of his actions.

He's afraid! Afraid of what?

This drunkard is definitely not human. Could it be that he's worried Jiang Ran is a ghost hunter who can kill him with one shot?

The number of demon hunters is so small that they are like rats in the shadows under the sun. It can be said that if a demon overturns the table, the demon hunters will have no chance of survival!

Jiang Ran is currently playing the role of a "ghost". His expression just now was a perfect replica of that aunt. The drunkard did not recognize him as a ghost hunter. The drunkard was afraid of ghosts!

Do ghosts fear other ghosts? That's interesting.

Could it be that ghosts can devour each other? If it weren't a deadly threat, they wouldn't be so afraid!

Therefore, a preliminary conclusion was drawn: as long as the two conditions of being in the shadows and having no bystanders are met, ghosts can indeed devour each other. However, this raises a new question—

These two conditions are so easy to meet, so easy that you can do them almost anytime you want. Therefore, there should be no trust between ghosts, and they could never live like humans in such an environment!

The fact that the drunkard chose to run away instead of fight back the moment he sensed Jiang Ran's murderous intent proves that Ghost still prioritizes life above all else.

The flesh and blood of their own kind are far less attractive to ghosts than to humans. That aunt was willing to risk her life to hunt Song Zhong, and the old woman in the stairwell attacked him as soon as she saw him. It is clear that as long as they have a little bit of confidence, they will not give up human flesh and blood.

As expected, choosing to come out tonight was the right decision. Jiang Ran continued forward, hoping to gain more information in the darkness.

As time passed, many of the ghost storytellers sensed something was wrong. Some had already left with their weapons, while the rest remained on the sidelines.

It's not because they're cautious, it's because they genuinely have no weapons! What are they going out for? To deliver them?

Odebu, from India, slowly made his way forward in the darkness, knife in hand. His first thought after getting money was to buy guns and prepare for a firepower attack. Fortunately, their observer used a timely warning to prevent a tragedy from happening.

He tied the triangular cloth to his face; aside from being a bit flashy, there was nothing wrong with it.

"Okay! All done!"

Audebob went downstairs and soon ran into a young man who was jogging at night.

The young man looked him up and down, then immediately stopped and ran towards him with shining eyes!

Audebob touched the cloth covering his face: "You actually saw through my exquisite disguise. It seems you must be a top-notch ghost!"

With a swift stroke, Ode Biao, already robust, and with the added buff, killing an ordinary imp was incredibly easy!

"Even the most powerful ghosts will die by my hand!"

The high-ranking officials of India subtly reminded their observers whether they should tell Odebiao that wearing a mask would expose their identities.

"It's alright. Audebiao is a warrior we carefully selected. He's all alone, one sword at a time, killing one after another. There's no need to hide his identity! Let's save this opportunity for something more useful."

The Indian observers were thrilled. Was it finally going to be their turn to be the first to clear the level? If that was the case, then they certainly couldn't waste their opportunities on meaningless things!

People dislike two types of observers the most. The first type is the one who immediately points out every little thing that happens, as if they're afraid of not having enough opportunities.

Another type is someone who tries to save opportunities for more useful ones no matter what they encounter, resulting in their own ghost storyteller never receiving a single hint before they die!

All the observers tried to avoid these two scenarios, yet they all unconsciously headed towards this outcome.

With one ghost dead, Audebobiao was brimming with confidence. If ghosts were only this strong, then as long as no more than a dozen or twenty came at once, he was truly confident that he could single-handedly cut through the entire city with his sword!

"But this is a world of ghost stories, isn't it a bit too absurd to clear the game by force?"

This comment was quickly drowned out by the barrage of comments.

Remembering the rule that hearts could be exchanged for money, Audebob cut open the young man's chest and dug out a pale green crystal.

"How much is this thing worth?"

He began to doubt the practicality of the Nightless Coin. All they needed was a knife, and they didn't have to worry about running out of bullets. The remaining money could be used to buy food, and they didn't need to pay off car loans or mortgages in this world.

Therefore, he came to the conclusion that enough Nightless Coins are sufficient, and having more is of no use.

"Alright! Now it's time for me to continue hunting down these brats!"

After putting away the crystal, Audebobiao now walks with much more confidence. He used to be secretive, but now he walks directly in the middle!

A child stared intently at him from around the corner, then his gaze shifted and he noticed another "person" watching the street from the windowsill.

The two exchanged a glance, secretly showing their regret, and then surprisingly did not choose to attack Odebiao, but instead retreated.

"Woof woof!"

Audebob walked for several minutes without encountering any attacks, which made him marvel at how flawless his disguise was (in reality, there was no one on the street at all). He didn't run into any people, but he did encounter a dog.

The mongrel in front of me had jet-black fur and its eyes gleamed with intelligence.

Rule 8: Dogs are not docile and they can be dangerous. If you see a dog at night, remember to go around it, except for black dogs, which are trustworthy and can be companions. Remember, it must be a pure black dog without any other colors.
