A skill with 0 mana cost means it can be used indefinitely, right? Such an overpowered skill can't possibly exist in a balanced game, otherwise the game should be called "Who can draw [White Mist Singer] first".
The situation is now very favorable, and Jiang Ran is preparing to exert pressure again. It is not him who should take the risk, but Ayman!
Jiang Ran took out the [Spirit Flame Bone Dragon] and chose to guard the central fortress. From then on, Jiang Ran had guarded two of the three fortresses, occupying most of the territory!
【Spirit Flame Bone Dragon】It is an extremely troublesome unit that can be dealt with either by ganging up on it or by using skills, especially when both sides have low mana!
"I've already played one card. Next, I choose 'Support,' sending my 'Skeleton Mage' from the middle garrison to support the middle fortress!"
Ayman's face darkened. There were two undead cards in each of the central and right fortresses occupied by Jiang Ran. It was probably not so easy to take them down!
It seems that the only way to win is to take a risk!
But don't forget there's another option that neither of them used from beginning to end!
Ayman drew a card called "Plague Carrier," then turned to the referee: "I'm going to sacrifice myself!"
This card looks rather weak, so if you had to choose a card to sacrifice to see the effect, Ayman would naturally choose this one.
"Okay, so which card do you want to sacrifice?"
"Huh?" Ayman was stunned. She had already held up the cards, and this guy was asking her which card she wanted to sacrifice. Wasn't that obvious?
"Of course, I'll sacrifice the card in my hand!"
"No, no, no, Miss Ayman, you can only sacrifice cards that are currently active on the field."
Seeing Jiang Ran covering her mouth and chuckling across from her, Aiman realized she'd been tricked. She gritted her teeth and asked, "Can I not offer the sacrifice?"
"Once you've chosen an action, you can't cancel it. You can only choose the object of the sacrifice, not the sacrifice itself."
Ayman cursed, then could only helplessly say, "Then let's sacrifice that [Rotting Giant]."
She only has two cards on the field at this point, [Rotting Giant] and [Spirit Flame Bone Dragon], so the choice is obvious.
"I need to send the [Spirit Flame Bone Dragon] to support the fortress on the left!"
Aiman also moved her [Spirit Flame Bone Dragon] to prevent Jiang Ran from taking advantage of the situation.
"Miss Ayman, the sacrifice was successful. The card in your hand has been successfully transformed into the spell card [Plague]. Please select a release location."
It was clearly a spell with an offensive effect, so Ayman threw it into Jiang Ran's territory without hesitation.
"Mr. Jiang Ran's units in the central fortress have all been poisoned and will die in two rounds."
So, does "Sacrifice" mean sacrificing a unit on the field to allow one of your undead cards to be played with a special spell effect? It seems the spell card's effect will vary depending on the unit sacrificed!
This means that Ayman used two whole cards to exchange for Jiang Ran's two cards, and it will take two rounds to take effect. Jiang Ran has to say that it was a really good choice. It would be best to do it a few more times!
"Use [Skeleton Mage] to attack the left fortress, activate the card's second-tier ability, and then have [Spirit Flame Bone Dragon] and [Skeleton Mage] from the middle fortress support the left fortress!"
Jiang Ran rattled off a whole bunch of maneuvers in one breath, and the referee didn't stop him. The three fortresses were connected on the screen, and they could indeed support each other's adjacent fortresses. This allowed Jiang Ran to overwhelmingly take down the fortress on the left!
The Skeleton Mage's ability activated, and two Broken Skeletons appeared in Jiang Ran's hand. These two cards looked frail and were probably special units among the Undead cards, belonging to the weakest group in terms of combat power!
The shield covering the left fortress was breached by the army, and seeing that his [Spirit Flame Bone Dragon] was about to be swallowed up by the army, Ayman panicked and hurriedly tried to send troops to support him!
She played a [Bloodthirsty Corpse] card, a card Jiang Ran had never seen before. Its stats were sword, 2/4/7.
The reason for playing this card is simple: after two rounds of attrition, Ayman has very few types of undead left, with only the first-tier ability of [Bloodthirsty Corpse] costing 2 mana, which perfectly matches her remaining mana.
A large number of units clashed on the left fortress. The Bloodthirsty Corpse used its skill to kill the Skeleton Mage that came to support from the middle fortress. Both sides' two Spirit Flame Bone Dragons perished together. After the battle, only two cards from each side remained on the field, facing off!
Ayman's [Blood-Drinking Corpse] and Jiang Ran's [Skeleton Mage]!
Jiang Ran knew that his card was a summoning card, and he probably couldn't beat the opponent's warrior card in a one-on-one fight. But it didn't matter, he still had one last chance to act this turn.
Jiang Ran used the [White Mist Singer] skill and chose to garrison the central fortress!
"I will activate the first-tier ability of this card."
After Jiang Ran finished speaking, his mana recovered by two points, while the [White Mist Chanter] on the field immediately self-destructed!
Is this the restriction that prevents him from using skills indefinitely? Whatever, two mana points are enough!
"I'm going to use the Skeleton Mage's second-tier ability!"
Two more [Broken Skeleton] cards have been obtained. If you think about it carefully, you'll realize that [Will-o'-the-Wisp Priest] costs two mana to exchange for two cards, and [Skeleton Mage] also costs two mana to exchange for two cards. In this light, isn't the latter's ability the worst of the worst?
Therefore, this [Broken Skeleton] must have some special ability, such as—not counting towards the number of cards played!
"I'll use three [Broken Skeletons] to attack the left fortress! At the same time, I'll send the [Carrion Giant] from the right fortress to support the central fortress!"
