Chapter 79: Mrs. Cui punishes Chunhe

Chapter 79: Mrs. Cui punishes Chunhe

The nanny was afraid of the silver needles in her hands and did not dare to resist.

Only after Xu Miaomiao and Xiaobao left the house did he let Chunhe go.

The nanny who had just looked frightened suddenly changed her expression and ordered the people around her, "Catch them for me."

"Let's see who dares." Xu Miaomiao said, "I came to the official residence today to look for my child. You kidnapped my child first. If it's any worse, we'll both die!"

The nanny was frightened by her appearance and took two steps back. She looked at Xu Miaomiao with dissatisfaction: "Xu Miaomiao, I am not done with you!"

"I, Xu Miaomiao, have nothing to regret. If you have any complaints, just come forward. But before that, I still have something to settle."

As she said that, Xu Miaomiao stepped forward and slapped the nanny.

"Xu Miaomiao you!"

"I absolutely cannot tolerate your wife hurting a child. Go back and tell her that if she gets angry again, I, Xu Miaomiao, will never let her go, whether in the underworld or in the heavens!" Xu Miaomiao stepped forward and whispered to Chunhe, "You should be thankful that my child is okay, otherwise it wouldn't be as simple as a slap in the face!"

After saying that, Xu Miaomiao turned and left.

A group of maids hurried over and whispered in the nanny's ear. The nanny stared at the sound of Xu Miaomiao leaving, her eyes darkening. Since Xu Miaomiao treated her like this, don't blame her for being rude!

As soon as he entered the house, he saw Chunhe holding the dead child and crying miserably. When he saw the woman, he quickly grabbed her hand and asked, "Why did my child become like this?"

"My lady, Doctor Xu said there was no hope when he arrived." His eyes flickered quickly as he responded, "We have been outside the whole time. We don't know what happened in there. Could it be that Madam Xu..."

Mammy wanted to say something but stopped herself, but she already understood what he meant. She held back her tears, tightly grasped the quilt on the bed, and said through gritted teeth: "Xu Miaomiao, I will never let you go!"

"You're finally back." Gu Yuanniang breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Xu Miaomiao and Xuguo returning home safely.

"Xiaobao, you are not hurt, are you?"

Song Weiwei squatted down anxiously and looked at Xiaobao. She was relieved when she saw the boy shook his head.

"By the way, Miaomiao, are you okay with everything?" Gu Yuanniang asked anxiously.

Xu Miaomiao knew that Gu Yuanniang was worried about her child, so she immediately said, "Everything is fine in the mansion, but Chunhe's child was not saved."

"Then she didn't make things difficult for you." Gu Yuanniang said anxiously.

Xu Miaomiao shook her head and said with some confusion: "I just don't know why I didn't see Mrs. Cui when such a big thing happened today."

"What!" Gu Yuanniang paced anxiously in the room: "What about Ling'er? Will Ling'er be in any danger?"

Xu Miaomiao put her hand on Gu Yuanniang's hand to comfort her: "Don't worry, if there is really something wrong, there will be news."

Gu Yuanniang looked at Xu Miaomiao and could only nod. Sure enough, the next day, a servant from Cui's mansion came.

Gu Yuanniang had sharp eyes and recognized that this was someone close to the old lady. She immediately went up to him and asked, "How is Ling'er?"

"Don't worry, Madam." Xiao Si said, "The old lady is ill and wants you to take the young master over. She is worried about leaving him with someone else."

"I'm going."

Gu Yuan's mother hurried out. Xu Miaomiao understood her pain of being separated from her child and let her go.

"Chunhe, no matter what you say, I will not give Ling'er to you." Gu Yuanniang was surrounded by servants while holding the child. Chunhe stared at the child in her arms with bloodshot eyes.

"I'm telling you, this is the master's child. I'm the mistress of the Cui Mansion, and this child has to call me mother." Chun He said as he looked at Gu Yuanniang proudly: "If you don't leave the child today, you can't leave."

"Chunhe, today I am here to take the young master away on the orders of the old lady. Aren't you afraid of being blamed by the old lady for doing this?" Gu Yuanniang responded to Chunhe word by word.

"Shut up right there." Chun He yelled angrily, "My child is dead, why should yours live? This child must stay today!"

"You're dreaming!" Gu Yuanniang held Ling'er tightly, kicked away the person in front of her, and resisted the attack of everyone.

Xiao Si lost his balance and fell to the ground, forcing Chunhe behind him to take two steps back.

Chun He looked at Xiao Si who fell one after another and muttered in dissatisfaction: "Useless things!"

"If the old lady finds out about Chunhe's affair, have you thought about the consequences?" Gu Yuanniang looked at the woman in front of her angrily, but unexpectedly the woman was not afraid and instead smiled with some complacency.

"Haha, old lady?" Chun He said viciously: "The old lady has been ill for a long time. We don't know whether she can survive. How can she control me? Gu Yuanniang, I want to see who can help you today."

As he said that, Chunhe was about to step forward with a stick in his hand.

"I'm telling you, if you touch Ling'er today, I won't let you go even if I sacrifice my life."

Gu Yuanniang's voice was resounding, the hairpins on her head were already in disarray. She no longer looked like a lady from a noble family, but just a mother who was willing to risk her life for her children.

When Chunhe approached, Gu Yuanniang kicked the stick under her feet, and Chunhe slipped and fell down.

"Ah!" Chunhe screamed while sitting on the ground. The maid quickly helped her up: "Come on, everyone!" Chunhe screamed and shouted at everyone as if she had lost her mind.

"Who dares to touch me!"

There was a roar coming from afar. Looking in the direction of the sound, it was the sick Old Lady Cui.

"Chunhe, I'm not dead yet, and you, a concubine, are really trying to be so arrogant!" Old Lady Cui's voice echoed in the courtyard.

Chunhe was startled, and quickly stepped back, smoothed her hair, and pretended to be submissive: "I dare not."

"Hmph!" Old Lady Cui glanced at Chunhe in dissatisfaction, then turned to look at Gu Yuanniang and said, "I was not feeling well today, and I was afraid that I would pass on my illness to Ling'er. That's why Chunhe had the opportunity to take advantage of me. Don't blame me."

"Old woman, even if it's taking care of her, it should be me who takes care of Ling'er. I am Ling'er's mother!" Chunhe said dissatisfiedly.

“Snap—”

The sound of the slap echoed in the air, and everyone looked at Chunhe who was beaten in confusion.
