Chapter 10 New Cell Phone

Chapter 10 New Cell Phone

After taking a shower, Cen Nian sat at the desk, took out the math homework he had just done, and continued studying.

Her knee hit the table and she felt a slight pain. Cen Nian bent her legs and found that the collision in the classroom had left a purple mark. She pressed it and felt a pain.

Aunt Liu knocked on the door gently, and only opened it and walked in after receiving an answer. She was holding a bowl of red bean soup in her hand: "Niannian, come and try the red bean soup made by Aunt Liu. It's still hot."

"Thank you, Aunt Liu."

Aunt Liu looked at her leg and said, "It must be hurt. Apply some medicine." She not only had red bean soup in her hand, but also some ointment for the injury on her.

"Thank you, Aunt Liu. I can do it myself." Cen Nian took the ointment and carefully applied it to the purple area.

"Remember to drink the red bean soup, go to bed early and don't study too late."

Cen Nian nodded, applied the ointment, and began to drink the red bean soup in small sips.

While drinking, she thought that Aunt Liu was so good to her. Not only did she give her sweet red bean soup, she also brought her ointment.

She needs to study harder!

As the clock struck twelve, Cen Nian packed up his textbooks, hung tomorrow's school uniform on the hanger, and then climbed into bed.

She slept very well. School started today, and she had to adapt to the new environment and attend another day of classes. The feeling of fatigue suddenly hit her the moment she lay down on the bed. Not long after, she fell into a deep sleep.

The next morning, Aunt Liu knocked on the door for a while, but there was no response from inside. She opened the door and walked in. Cen Nian was still asleep.

She was lying on the bed with her legs spread out, the quilt dropped to the ground. Aunt Liu saw this and smiled helplessly: "Niannian, get up, you're going to be late."

"What!" Cen Nian woke up instantly and jumped up. "Aunt Liu, what time is it?"

"It's six thirty-five."

Didn't she set the alarm for 6:30? She picked up her phone, but the screen was still black. It was still black after charging it overnight. There was only one reason: the phone was broken.

Cen Nian looked a little worried and seemed absent-minded while eating breakfast.

Aunt Liu brought a glass of milk and took out a box: "Hurry and take a look. We were so busy that we forgot about it. You can use this phone first."

Cen Nian was stunned for half a second, looking at the English letters and the logo on the box. "Aunt Liu, this phone is too expensive. I...I just need to repair the one I had before."

Aunt Liu smiled and said, "It's not expensive, don't worry. Uncle Li knows you're a student, so this phone is second-hand. You can use it first, don't feel burdened."

"Second-hand?" Cen Nianxin was relieved. She opened the box and found a new model of mobile phone inside. The screen was clean and transparent. She asked curiously, "Do second-hand mobile phones also have protective films? When I bought it before, it didn't have a box or a protective film."

Aunt Liu paused for a few seconds. "Of course, Aunt Liu, mine is also second-hand. Nowadays, in order to sell the phone, merchants will repackage it to make it look better."

Cen Nian nodded in understanding: "Thank you, Aunt Liu! Thank you, Uncle Li!"

"Silly child, why thank you? This is... Mr. Jin's order. Your uncle Li and I have bad memories and forgot about it."

Cen Nian waved her hand: "Auntie, my phone didn't work this morning. This is what people often say, helping someone when they need it, hehe~"

When Jin Siyang came downstairs, he grabbed a handful of hair randomly. Aunt Liu saw him coming down and hurriedly put breakfast on the table: "Siyang, eat something before you go."

He nodded lightly and walked to the dining table. His eyes inadvertently caught sight of the mobile phone on the table. He lowered his eyes and sat opposite Cen Nian.

Cen Nian's eyes were smiling like crescent moons. Seeing him sit down, she had a cell phone next to her. Her smile faded a little now: "Well, this is the new cell phone that Uncle Jin asked Uncle Li and Aunt Liu to prepare for me."

Jin Siyang raised his eyes and glanced at her.

Although he didn't say anything, Cen Nian always felt that there was something in his eyes that he wanted to say. Could it be that he was unhappy?

Cen Nian thought somewhat dejectedly that she had gotten into trouble again. Saying this in front of him was just showing off!

She originally lived in his house and enjoyed everything he originally had, and now she still said this, Cen Nian, Cen Nian, how could you be so stupid!

She leaned forward a little, her voice sincere: "I don't mean anything else, please don't mind."

Jin Siyang raised his eyebrows. He picked up the milk and drank half of it in one gulp. Then he looked at her indifferently: "What should I mind?"

His tone was calm, perhaps because he had just woken up, there was a hint of stickiness in the clear boyish voice. Cen Nian quietly raised his eyes to look at him. Jin Siyang's expression was the same as usual. He probably didn't take the phone incident to heart.

"I...I'm just explaining."

"Um."

Cen Nian suddenly widened her eyes and looked at him. She was prepared for Jin Siyang to say "It's none of my business", but he just replied with a "hmm".

It seems he is in a good mood today.

Cen Nian put the old phone in a box and then into her schoolbag. The old phone meant a lot to her, and she didn't want to throw it away. She had to find a chance to repair it.

It's another morning with heavy learning tasks.

Cen Nian spent the entire morning listening to lectures, taking notes, and completing workbooks. She was so focused that even Tong Yue didn't have the heart to interrupt her.

Song Ze was the one who didn't understand romance. He leaned back on his chair, with the front leg hanging in the air. He rested his hand on Tong Yue's desk and raised his chin towards Cen Nian: "New classmate, who are you trying to crush? It's been a whole morning. Others are either catching up on their sleep or going out after class, and you're just here writing. You're putting a lot of pressure on me, you know that?"

Cen Nian held the pen in her hand, the tip of the pen resting on her chin. She said thoughtfully, "Don't feel pressured. My grades are very poor."

She opened her innocent almond-shaped eyes and said, "My grades are very poor," with a clear and bright look. Song Ze refused to believe her and chuckled twice: "Haha, do you believe me or do you believe that I am Qin Shi Huang?"

"Trust me."

Song Ze's mouth twitched: "New classmate, you are quite interesting."

After lunch, Cen Nian, Zhu Zhiyao, Tong Yue and others walked back to the classroom together.

"Niannian, did you get a new phone?" Tong Yue asked in surprise. "Judging from the appearance and structure, it must be the latest Apple model."

Cen Nian was confused: "What?" She continued: "My family bought it for me, it's second-hand."

Zhu Zhiyao took a closer look and asked, "Second-hand?"

After obtaining consent, Zhu Zhiyao held Cen Nian's phone and said, "This doesn't look second-hand."

"Really!" Cen Nian said again. She looked so serious and sincere that she didn't seem like she was lying.

Zhu Zhiyao nodded: "It's possible that the person sold it a few days after buying it. However, the three of us have similar phone models, so we can transfer photos to each other then."

Cen Nian opened the address book: "I don't have your contact information yet. Oh, and I haven't added you on WeChat either."

Tong Yue unlocked the screen and said, "Add one now! Then add Song Ze when we get back, and we'll add you to the class group."

The three of them added their contact information so beautifully.
