Chapter 29 He is laughing

Chapter 29 He is laughing

Cen Nian has been very happy recently and has become more motivated in his studies.

When she first entered Class 7, no one was familiar with her. She was not very lively, so she always felt like an outsider. In addition, because of her poor performance in the last monthly exam, she did not dare to raise her head in class or look others in the eye.

But the friendship and goodwill in youth come quickly, and the friendship of "sharing weal and woe" is more precious. Her life has changed. When she meets classmates on campus, they will greet each other, and sometimes many people will chat with her.

Life is slowly getting better, and so is her life.

Jin Siyang lived up to his reputation of being number one on the list for many years. After studying with him for a while, Cen Nian became much more adept at answering questions. In the past, she would struggle for a while when faced with questions of medium difficulty, but now she can write down the correct answers without hesitation.

After finishing the test, Cen Nian handed the test paper to Jin Siyang with a smile: "Please correct it~"

Jin Siyang scanned it and said, "Yeah, that's right."

"All correct?"

"Um."

Cen Nian was overwhelmed with surprise, with a bright smile on her face: "That's great! Jin Siyang is lucky to have you!"

Jin Siyang leaned back in his chair, without much expression. He flipped out a test paper and said, "I have a midterm exam tomorrow. I'll review this paper tonight."

Cen Nian took it with both hands: "I guarantee to complete the task!"

She looked a little silly, and her words were also silly. Jin Siyang sneered.

Compared with the last monthly exam, Cen Nian has more confidence in this midterm exam. She has been studying almost day and night during this period, so there should be some progress.

She finished the Chinese language test without any incidents. For the math test in the afternoon, Cen Nian only spent half an hour on the multiple-choice questions. Except for the last two questions which were a bit difficult for her, the rest were questions that Jin Siyang had explained to her. When she turned to the big questions at the back, the excitement in her heart couldn't be hidden and jumped out.

There are two major questions that are similar to the test paper I saw last night. The only difference is that the question is asked in a different way, but the solution remains the same.

Cen Nian calmed down and started writing seriously.

After the two-day midterm exam, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Jin Qi, understanding, didn't discuss the final exam. She handed two registration forms to the sports committee member and briefly announced to the class, "There's a school basketball game next week. Everyone, please sign up!"

"I'll report it, I'll report it!"

Jin Qi added, "By the way, this basketball game is different from last year's. This year, there's also a cheerleading competition. Each class will select 20 girls to form a team and practice cheerleading. I've given this form to the arts committee member. Students who want to participate can sign up with the committee member."

Zhu Zhiyao took Cen Nian's arm and said, "Niannian, are you going to participate in the cheerleading competition?"

Cen Nian shook his head: "No, I don't know how to cheerlead and I've never learned to dance. I can't dance well."

"You haven't even started dancing yet, how can you say you can't dance well?" Zhu Zhiyao shook her hand: "I want to join in, can you come with me?"

Cen Nian hesitated for a few seconds, looked at Zhu Zhiyao's eager eyes, and finally nodded: "Okay."

"Nian Nian, you are the best."

The affiliated high school graded the papers very quickly. After the midterm exam results came out, Jin Siyang was still the top student in the grade. Everyone was used to it, but Cen Nian caught almost everyone off guard.

The teacher's office is bustling with activity——

"Teacher Jin, the top student in Chinese this year is in your class. I didn't expect that. In the past, the top students in Chinese were all in the liberal arts class."

"Hasn't the liberal arts class always taken first place before? I didn't expect that you guys would snatch it away this time."

Jin Qi was smiling and in a good mood. "I really didn't expect that this student also gave me a surprise."

The Affiliated High School is strong in science and liberal arts as well. The top students in science and liberal arts in Jiang City usually go to the Affiliated High School of Jiang City.

The Affiliated High School is fair and impartial in this regard, and does not favor any side. It has put a lot of effort into both the arts and science classes. No one expected that the highest score in Chinese in this midterm exam would fall into the science class.

Amidst the exclamations of the crowd, Jin Qi looked down at the report card in his hand. The first place in Chinese: Cen Nian scored 137 points, and the composition scored 59 points, which was close to full marks.

"Holy crap! We're first in Chinese! Cen Nian got first place in Chinese!" Tian Sheng practically rushed into the classroom and started shouting. Two seconds later, the class erupted in boos: "Awesome!"

"Oh my god! Cen Nian, you're amazing! Do you know who you surpassed? Cheng Yiwen! She's super amazing. She's basically guaranteed to be the top scorer in the liberal arts subject, and yet you actually scored higher than her in Chinese this time."

"This is basically impossible in a science class!"

Cen Nian received many congratulations from people. She didn’t know how important this exam was, but her face turned slightly red as she watched her classmates excitedly congratulating her.

She is also the student who made the most progress in this midterm exam. She scored 98 points in mathematics and her overall ranking jumped from 53rd to 42nd in the class.

There was a lot of noise all around. Cen Nian held the report card in his hand and looked at the quietest place.

Jin Siyang casually placed his report card on a corner of the table. He had no interest in grades. He was used to being first, so he didn't think it was a big deal.

His eyes were lowered, and as if he sensed something, he slowly raised his head to meet Cen Nian's gaze.

Cen Nian paused for two seconds, then she took small steps back to her seat: "Jin Siyang, my math and physics scores went up a bit, thank you."

Jin Siyang glanced at Cen Nian's report card, his eyes stopping at the 98 in Math. He nodded, "Very good."

His report card didn't fluctuate much, and his math score remained at 150. Cen Nian was surprised for a moment, then silently said, "Compared to you, I still have a lot of room for improvement. You're amazing, with a 150 in math. It would be better if I could get a higher score, um... 120 would be great!"

"Cen Nian, aren't you being a bit unfair to me by only aiming for 120 points after taking so many of my classes?" Jin Siyang said indifferently, "Most people in the class can get 120 points."

120 points is the average level, and 130 points is the watershed for Class 7.

Cen Nian grumbled, "I'm kind of dumb, but besides, 120 is already pretty good for me." She mumbled for a moment, then looked at Jin Siyang's cold expression and said quickly, "But I have you, right? I can definitely do better. Maybe I can even get 130 points, right?"

Cen Nian tilted her head and smiled ingratiatingly. Her eyes were bright and her eyelashes fluttered.

Jin Siyang turned around and saw this scene. He was silent for two seconds: "Idiot."

Cen Nian suddenly sat up straight: "What do you mean by idiot! I'm not stupid!" She suddenly lay down on the table: "Well, actually, I'm the early bird. I understand."

The moment she lowered her head, she missed the smile that flashed across Jin Siyang's lips. It was very faint and light, so light that Jin Siyang himself didn't even realize that he was smiling.
