Chapter 30: Treasures of the Century

In the corner of the building, Song Nanwu looked at Si Jin, who was wearing a mask with only half of his face exposed. She took off her baseball cap and put it on his head.

Her movements were quick and sudden.

By the time Si Jin reacted, the hat was already on his head.

His handsome brows suddenly frowned in disdain. He took off his hat and put it on Song Nanwu's head, saying in a clear voice, "It's so dirty, wear it yourself."

Suddenly remembering that he seemed to have mysophobia, Song Nanwu didn't care about his dislike. She glanced at Si Jin with a slightly cold look, reached out to straighten her baseball cap, and replied lightly: "Oh."

Seeing her calm expression, not seeming angry at all, Si Jin raised his eyebrows slightly, "Why are you here?"

"I'm worried about you." Song Nanwu said honestly with a frank look in her eyes.

Si Jin glared at her, curled his lips slightly, and said in a low voice with a hint of mockery, "Oh, you're worried about me? This Buddhist girl is really considerate. Do you want me to buy you some candy later?"

"Okay." Song Nanwu looked at him seriously.

"Heh." Si Jin glanced at her and chuckled, "Go to the mall and buy me a hat."

He glanced at the baseball cap on her head and said, "Not black."

After saying this, he leaned lazily against the wall.

However, her casual standing posture is still full of grace, as if every move reveals a charm that makes people unable to take their eyes off and touches their hearts.

Seeing that he was wearing a mask as a disguise, Song Nanwu said, "Put on the hood behind you."

Si Jin's expression was somewhat nonchalant. "No, it's hot."

I was just in the car because I was feeling hot, so I put on my hooded coat. I didn't expect that I would be recognized after just a few steps on the square.

"You still want to be watched."

"If you go and come back quickly, no one will watch."

Seeing that Si Jin didn't care at all, Song Nanwu thought for a moment and realized that she wasn't the one being treated like a monkey, so she stopped talking and turned around to walk forward.

As soon as Song Nanwu left, someone called Si Jin.

It’s Wang Yanhua.

"Boss, I saw the Weibo post. Why are you surrounded by fans? Are you okay? Where are you now? I'll bring someone over right away."

The voice on the phone was hurried, in contrast to Si Jin's unhurried tone.

"No, it's already been resolved."

Wang Yanhua breathed a sigh of relief. "I'm glad the boss is okay. I'd better not go out alone in the future. It's too dangerous..."

Si Jin was too lazy to listen to Wang Yanhua's chatter and hung up the call. Then another call came in. It was Meng Ruo. He probably saw the news online and came to ask about the situation.

After asking people along the way, Song Nanwu finally realized that the building was a shopping mall. She turned in through the side door and randomly found a shop selling hats. Then she walked back slowly. On the way, she saw some food being sold and bought a few.

When Song Nanwu returned to Si Jin after eating and drinking, the latter was already huddled in the corner, waiting impatiently.

I don't know what happened to the hat that I originally didn't want to wear because it was too hot, but now I put it on tightly on my head and pulled the brim down very low.

"You crawled on all fours, why are you so slow?" Si Jin mocked Song Nanwu when he saw her, and snatched the baseball cap from her hand.

As if she didn't hear the irritation in his tone, Song Nanwu confessed honestly, "No, I was just hungry, so I ate something."

Hearing this, Si Jin glanced at her empty hands and felt inexplicably angry.

He had been busy from the time he got up until now, and had only drunk a bottle of yogurt. He was also hungry.

"Heh, are you the only one who's hungry?" Si Jin sneered, put on his baseball cap under his hood, adjusted it casually, and covered his face tightly with it.

Song Nanwu suddenly came to her senses. She looked at Si Jin and calmly took out a piece of candy from her pocket and handed it to him. "Oh, I forgot about you. Captain, would you like some candy to fill your stomach?"

"I don't eat sweets." Si Jin refused physically and mentally.

"Oh." Song Nanwu responded, then peeled off the candy wrapper and ate the candy herself.

Si Jin: “…”

ungrateful.

With a snort, Si Jin dodged her and strode forward.

Song Nanwu looked at his back and hurriedly followed him.

The supermarket is on the basement floor of the mall, and this time no one recognized Si Jin.

It has been nearly two months since Song Nanwu came to the 21st century, but this is her first time shopping in a supermarket.

Pushing a cart and following Si Jin, she looked at the dazzling array of goods in front of her and sighed.

There were such stores in the 27th century, but there was no need to push a cart around. You could directly operate and select in the virtual image, and then someone would deliver the goods to your door.

So walking around like this was a novelty for Song Nanwu.

Si Jin casually picked up a bag of lollipops and threw them into the cart. He glanced at Song Nanwu and sneered with a hint of disdain, "Even kindergarten kids don't like candy as much as you do."

Song Nanwu looked at him in confusion, "What does my eating candy have to do with kindergarten kids?"

Si Jin was choked for a moment, but stopped talking. Relying on his long legs, he took a few steps to the freezer not far ahead and started picking out yogurt.

Song Nanwu was about to push the cart and follow when she accidentally caught a glimpse of the vegetable area on the left.

I was stunned for a moment.

Looking at the rows of green and lush vegetables on the shelves, my eyes couldn't help but tremble.

This, this is a vegetable!? Something that was called the treasure of the century in the 27th century? Even money can't buy it.

With a thought, Song Nanwu pushed the cart over and couldn't help but reach out to touch it. It felt a little cold.

She looked up at the prices, which were basically just a few dollars each.

Song Nanwu: “…”

In the 27th century, not only could you not eat a bite of vegetables, even vegetable-flavored nutritional supplements were the most expensive.

It’s so cheap here!

Song Nanwu felt that she might have been shocked.

Over there, Si Jin, who had picked out the yogurt, turned around and saw Song Nanwu standing in the vegetable area. He strode over and put the yogurt in the cart.

"Can you cook?" He raised his eyebrows and asked softly, as if he didn't expect that she could cook.

Song Nanwu suddenly came to her senses and suddenly said ambitiously, "I want to buy all the vegetables here."

Looking at the person in front of him who was so arrogant that he said he was going to take over the vegetable section of the supermarket, Si Jin twitched his lips slightly, "Are you sure?"

Of course Song Nanwu was sure and certain, but when she took a look at the small cart, it was obviously not enough to hold everything, so she finally decided to just buy a little of each category.

Then, Si Jin saw someone pushing a cart, jumping up and down, wandering around the vegetable area like a monkey, throwing every vegetable he saw into the cart.

Soon, the cart was filled with vegetables.

Si Jin: “…”

She said she believed in Buddhism, but is this person really a vegetarian?

What's wrong with your brain? You bought so much, can you eat it all?

The most important thing is that she doesn't seem to be on the scale.
