Chapter 344 The Deceptive Great Wizard

Chapter 344 The Deceptive Great Wizard

Arthas watched helplessly as his loyal captain of the royal guard, the red-haired Kling, was suppressed by Fenris and thrown into the Bone Tower, where he was transformed into life force and eventually transferred to the silver container before him.

At the top of the bone tower was a three-foot-square protrusion, and the silver container, surrounded by that terrifying, scorching aura, was wedged in the center of the protrusion.

A long, desolate roar echoed from the container. Arthas knew that the terrifying being trapped inside was none other than Ner'zhul, the great shaman who had led the entire orc race six hundred years ago!

When Arthas heard Blackham utter the words, "A foolish human being worthy of the power of a great shaman?", he felt so ashamed that he wanted to end his life immediately, but now... he couldn't even die.

Back then, his right arm was severed by that damned elf. A once glorious heir to the Tsar became a cripple. How would his younger brother and relatives, whom he had suppressed for many years, treat him?

Just when Arthas was feeling dejected and helpless, Fenris, the high priest of the Thunderlord clan, found him and made a deal with him.

"That was a truly despicable and bloody agreement! How could I have believed it? I never imagined that the usually rude, straightforward, and savage orcs could be so treacherous and cunning..."

Arthas buried his head in his chest in shame, a simple action that exhausted all his strength.

After Arthas delivered a large number of elite Rakshasa warriors and a rare group of monks into the Bone Tower as agreed, he was led to the top floor of the Bone Tower, where a meticulously crafted magic circle awaited him.

"Within this magic circle, you will receive the power of the Great Shaman. Not only will you be able to restore your body and strength, but you will also become omnipotent!"

Arthas now remembered that when the high priest Blackham, who presided over the blood sacrifice, told him these things, Fenris's eyes were clearly full of mockery, but he was blinded by the power he was about to obtain, which led him to this predicament.

That magic circle wasn't meant to grant Arthas power; it was meant to extract his life essence and power. As the closest thing to a Saint-level expert in the Rakshasa Kingdom in the last hundred years, Arthas's body was the perfect sacrifice.

Arthas turned into a puddle of mud, and after Blackham infused his pure life force into the silver vessel, the roar inside suddenly became much louder. It angrily pounded against the silver vessel, trying to break free from the cage that had imprisoned it for six hundred years.

The silver container released flames of terror, attempting to completely suppress the being inside. However, the Bone Tower absorbed most of the flames and channeled the immense heat into the icy plains. The frigid seawater quickly absorbed this heat, giving the terrifying being inside the container a chance to escape.

"Tremble! ... Surrender! Insignificant humans, the great shaman is about to be reborn, and the entire world will bow before the orcs..."

Seeing the silver container begin to deform under the force, and with the roar so close, Blackhand and Fenris began to pour their power into the bone tower to help Ner'zhul escape. Their hands became connected to the bone tower, and their bodies began to tremble. Clearly, Ner'zhul inside the container had begun to absorb their power through the bone tower.

"Make your move!" Qin Mo saw the orc warlord grinning as he walked towards her, knowing that he was treating them as the final sacrifices, preparing to throw them into that bottomless bone tower.

Qin Mo tore off his large cloak, pulled out his black double-edged battle axe, and aimed it at the orc warlord's neck.

The orc warlord's grinning face froze, remaining unchanged until his head flew off; only the horror in his eyes recorded the feeling of his last moments.

"Hey! That's my battle achievement..." Qin Mo shouted at Heatherine, clearly annoyed. The Holy Maiden had just beheaded the orc warlord first, leaving Qin Mo with nothing.

Saintess Heatherine deftly broke off the fangs and threw them to him, then swam towards the top of the bone tower without looking back. The silver container at the top of the tower was on the verge of breaking, and both great witches were restrained by the bone tower. This was the best opportunity, but also the most dangerous moment.

"Despicable humans...it's happening again...bastards..." When Blackham saw Qin Mo and the other two charging towards him with unstoppable momentum, he felt as if the sky had fallen. The scene of his near-miss in Beihai six years ago flashed before his eyes again.

"No... absolutely not, I am no longer capable of presiding over another blood sacrifice. If the High Shaman cannot grant me power... I..."

Seeing that Qin Mo was blocking the orcs who kept attacking him, and that the other two were clearly close to the Saint level, Blackham could no longer care about anything else. He gritted his teeth and grabbed Fenris next to him.

Several years ago, Fenris was severely injured by Qin Mo's cheap father, and his body has never recovered. This time, Blackham told him that they could use the power of the Great Shaman to greatly increase their strength. The two hit it off immediately and spent a lot of manpower and resources, even sacrificing their own people, just to obtain the power of the Great Shaman.

Unexpectedly, at the last moment, another unexpected event occurred. Fenris was only focused on yelling at his men to kill these three audacious humans, but he failed to see the murderous glint in Blackham's eyes.

“Blackham… what are you going to do? Huh…”

Fenris never expected Blackham to attack him. Just as he was about to fight back, he found himself slammed onto the magic circle that was originally prepared for Arthas. He panicked immediately. He knew all too well the power of this magic circle: it gathered the power of the entire Bone Tower to absorb the life force from living beings, and would not let you break free until you were completely drained.
