Chapter 351 The Ruined City

Chapter 351 The Ruined City

"You...are...a powerful figure from which tribe?"

After seeing the starlight in Qin Mo's hand, Kobil was stunned for a full quarter of an hour before stammering out a question.

Qin Mo couldn't answer him. He himself didn't know which tribe he belonged to, or even which clan he belonged to. Allen never told him these things.

“No…you don’t belong here…you’re from the Royal Court…” Kobil finally realized that no elf in the entire northern jungle of the Western Continent could awaken the five-colored starlight; only the bloodline of the Elven Royal Court possessed this talent.

"But you... why are you..." Kobil looked at Qin Mo's round ears, his heart filled with doubt. How could the blood of a high elf appear in a human?

"You haven't answered my question yet," Qin Mo said coldly again.

Kobir's face turned deathly pale. He felt that his life was coming to an end today. A powerful being with the blood of a high elf would never tolerate the buying and selling of elves, an act that was extremely humiliating to the elven race.

“Azaka is the orc king of the Frostwolf Clan, and his territory extends for thousands of miles.”

All the elves looked trembling with fear, and in the end, it was Gina who answered Qin Mo's question.

"Are they under the jurisdiction of the orcs? Why are they hunting you?" Qin Mo looked at Gina's face, which should have been youthful and beautiful, but was now roughened by the ravages of time, and her tone softened.

Gina's eyes dimmed, and she said softly, "My brother and I are from the Amor tribe. Our tribe is very small, and we struggle to survive on this land. We are oppressed by the orcs, but we have never given in... until our last chieftain passed away."

Qin Mo sighed softly. He knew the importance of the chieftain in the elven tribe to the entire tribe, because the transmission of all kinds of knowledge was in the hands of the chieftain. Awakening, teaching skills, and reproduction all required the knowledge and power of the chieftain. If a tribe lost its chieftain, then the tribe would disappear forever.

"The Onses tribe wanted to take in our people, but they had already submitted to the orcs. They had to hunt for the orcs and give up their sisters every year... My brother and I didn't want to lose our freedom, so we left the tribe and became free elves."

“This winter is exceptionally cold… We simply didn’t have enough prey… That’s why we came to our ancestors’ land to hunt… But then we encountered them…” Gina’s voice grew softer and softer as she spoke, and Qin Mo sensed her helplessness and despair.

"So, they're going to arrest you and then... sell you?" Qin Mo looked at Gina's small ears; she wasn't even an adult yet!

"All free spirits... if they leave the land of peace... may be captured and sold..."

After Gina finished speaking, she tentatively approached her brother. Seeing that Kobil and the others did not react, she quickly dragged Harrens aside and bandaged him up. Judging from his practiced manner, this was not the first time.

"You are all the same kind... How can you bear to... sell your own sisters? Huh?" Qin Mo watched Gina, who hadn't even grown up yet, helping her brother set his bones and bandage his wounds. The determination and concern on her little face deeply hurt him, making him roar in anger.

Kobil seemed to lose his senses amidst Qin Mo's roar. He muttered, "We didn't want this either... we didn't want this either. The royal court is gone, and the major tribes are being conquered and wiped out one after another by the orcs. We can't survive..."

"Whether human or vampire, they have all come to this land to capture us. What should we do now? Where is the royal court?"

"But we don't know if we'll be captured every day. We have no choice but to depend on the orcs; at least we can eat our fill... and avoid becoming prey..."

"well....."

After a sigh, Kobil and the others suddenly realized that Qin Mo had disappeared, along with Gina and her brother.

Oslo is a port city nestled between mountains and the sea. Six hundred years ago, when the royal court still existed, the Elven fleet roamed the Western Continent, becoming one of the two great maritime powers alongside the Sea Clan. In those heyday, Oslo was the largest and most populous city in northern Western Continent.

But what Qin Mo saw in Oslo was desolation everywhere. The collapsed city walls, the remaining city, and the ruins hidden in the grass silently told the story of its former glory.

Gina carried her brother Harrens, who was two sizes bigger than her, all the way to the ruins of Oslo, and then plopped down on the ground, panting heavily.

Following behind her, Qin Mo looked around at the abandoned city, touching the remaining walls and feeling the beautiful patterns that remained even after hundreds of years of wind and rain.

In the distance, on Mount Holmenkoren, once stood the royal court of the elves, now reduced to ruins.

This was originally a beautiful city. Whether it was the tall city walls or the small houses, it was full of artistic atmosphere. The sculpture remnants and exquisite wall carvings that could be seen everywhere made Qin Mo fascinated.

“All the complete works of art are gone. We are powerless to protect what our ancestors left behind. Those greedy humans are swarming through this city like locusts, taking whatever they want…” Gina said sadly, watching Qin Mo’s retreating figure.

"How many elves are left here... free elves?" Qin Mo looked at the few remaining buildings in the distance and saw figures moving about, indicating that there were people there.
