Parameswara packed his valuables, preparing to follow in the footsteps of his subjects and head north to find the Siamese. However, the hundred bolts of silk held him back, and before they could be loaded onto the oxcart, he and his goods were caught red-handed.
Bramiden stroked the soft, smooth silk, his thoughts not of his beloved daughter's fair skin, but of the deceased Sinuda. Boru returned with Sinuda's body, presenting Bramiden with the "treasured" silk garments he had seized. Seeing so much silk now, Bramiden finally felt that Sinuda's death... might not have been worthwhile.
"Should I call you Prince, or Sultan?"
Bramiden looked at the dejected Barimisula, perfectly displaying the posture of a conqueror. His arrogant question seemed perfectly reasonable and appropriate to everyone present.
“I am Parameswara, formerly the prince of Palembang, now the sultan of Malacca, and as for the future... hehehe! The Siamese will give you the answer.”
Bramiden looked at the stubborn yet helpless Bairimisula and suppressed his anger, saying, "We came for the Siamese, that is our land, but you sold it to the Great Xia people. What price should you pay?"
"Temasek was bought by the shaman Taman. As for why it was bought from me, it's because the Siamese believe that the land belongs to our Malacca Sultanate. If you want it, you can take it yourself."
“I am now standing in the palace of Malacca, and I, on behalf of His Highness Prince Wirabumi, ask the Sultan whether he submits to His Highness the Prince.”
Parameswara blinked, understanding the key point: Bramiden called him "Sultan," which meant acknowledging his rule over Malacca, but also subservient to the Majapahit prince, just as Palembang was subservient to the Majapahit king.
"This matter arose because of Temasek. After Temasek was dealt with, Parameswara was willing to surrender."
Parameswara is no fool. Prince Wirabumi's territory is east of Java, and he must have passed through Temasek on his way to Malacca. Yet he hasn't been making a big fuss about his victory, so something must have happened in Temasek.
"The Sultan should first draft a proclamation canceling the deal with the Taman sorcerer and reclaiming Temasek!"
Bairimisula casually swiped a piece of silk, picked up a brush and wrote several lines of large characters, then took out a seal from his pocket and stamped it on. His obedience was so unreal that even Bramiden found it hard to believe.
"Hmph! Did you really think I couldn't see that someone who could casually produce a hundred bolts of silk would be so easy to bully? I had already planned to use someone else to do my dirty work, but I didn't expect you to arrive so quickly."
For those readers who find the war chapters tedious and monotonous, please bear with me for now. I will try my best to add other elements. Thank you for your support, fellow readers and brothers!
