Chapter Nineteen: The Nobles of Great Xia
Qin Mo cursed and stormed out the door, not forgetting to call out to Allen as he went. The dozen or so guards who were waiting outside to watch the commotion were caught off guard and were knocked to the ground by him.
"Get out of the way... get out of the way... what the hell are you looking at... are you looking for death... get out of the way..." Qin Mo cursed as she pulled them up and threw them away, making Allen nervous. Qin Mo had never used so much profanity on her subordinates before.
Qin Mo originally thought that the Wrath of the Thunder God was some kind of thing, but it turned out to be gunpowder. Gunpowder is a weapon of mass destruction that cannot distinguish between friend and foe, and its power is even more astonishing in a confined space. He did not think that he could withstand the impact of the gunpowder explosion with his Xuan Realm cultivation.
Qin Mo whispered something to his personal guards, and they hurriedly left. Meanwhile, the situation inside Gray Forest's shop had completely reversed. Gray Forest had returned to the inner room, apparently to retrieve some forging notes; it seemed he was ultimately going to succumb to the tyranny of Thor's wrath.
"Allen, if he lights that thin rope, we need to run, at least twenty feet away," Qin Mo whispered to Allen. He had no idea what kind of gunpowder it was—black powder or yellow explosive. Maintaining the maximum safe distance was best.
"You know about Thor's Wrath?"
Qin Mo didn't answer, but instead pointed triumphantly to her chest. This casual gesture excited Allen.
Just as Allen was about to question Qin Mo in detail, another change occurred inside the shop. Grayson shouted, "Morpheus, your teacher saw through your filthy traitorous intentions long ago! Look at this! Come on... let's all perish together..."
Qin Mo glanced inside and immediately pulled Allen back a few steps. As for his personal guards, he had already driven them ten feet away.
Red-haired Morpheus's expression changed instantly when he saw the two cans of insecticide in Greyson's hands. The Wrath of Thor had always been an artifact wielded by dwarven leaders; neither the High Elder Muradin Bronzebeard nor his deceased teacher had ever forged it. He hadn't expected Greyson to possess it, and he froze, unable to move forward or backward.
"Splash...splash..." Grayson and Morpheus were facing off, neither daring to make a move. But suddenly, a large splash of water poured in from outside, drenching them completely, soaking even their tinderboxes and Thor's Wrath.
Qin Mo walked in again, her steps seemingly smug.
"I don't care about any personal grudges between you, but this dwarf has already accepted my deposit, so he has to complete this commission. As for how you fight to the death later, I don't care, but right now he must finish my task." Qin Mo spoke with extreme arrogance, and his demeanor and expression were even more arrogant. This body had received the noble education of the Great Xia Kingdom since childhood, and the aristocratic aura had seeped into his bones. Without Qin Mo deliberately showing it, he could perfectly interpret the noble temperament of the Great Xia royal family.
"Who are you? How dare you oppose our Black Iron Clan... Uh!... Elf Clan... Gray Forest, you actually colluded with the Elf Clan..." Morpheus looked at the tinderbox dripping water onto the ground and "Thor's Wrath" in his hand, his anger rising. When he saw Allen, he became even more hysterical, his mind clouded by rage.
"Do you dwarves have the right to collude with me?" Allen said lazily, a slightly mocking smile on his face.
"Morpheus, they are my guests. I've already received the deposit. If you don't have the guts to fight today, go back to your damn master! I'm going to get to work."
Greyson stopped Morpheus, who wanted to touch the warhammer. He had already realized that the young master's guards were all from Great Xia, and they all exuded a terrifying aura. Moreover, he had just felt a fleeting, terrifying aura from that elf, as if he had been stared at by a giant dragon. At the time, he thought it was his imagination, but now, thinking back on it, he felt more and more frightened.
"Despicable humans, you cunning race, you have humiliated the noble Morpheus, you will pay the price..." Red-haired Morpheus roared at Qin Mo, ready to regain his face by taking advantage of Qin Mo, after all, he was the only easy target right now.
"This is His Highness the Crown Prince of Heng, the Prince of Great Xia. How dare you insult the Great Xia royal family? Are you tired of living?" Qin Mo didn't pay much attention to Morpheus's fierce but weak roar, but his personal guards wouldn't stand for it. They drew their swords and surrounded the three dwarves. If Qin Mo just gestured, it would be a brawl.
Morpheus, Grayson, and the others were all utterly astonished. What kind of country was Great Xia? It was the most powerful nation in the East, without exception. Just the fact that so many people were learning the Great Xia language was enough to show how powerful Great Xia truly was. And the Great Xia royal family was an unapproachable behemoth.
The Great Xia royal family has ruled the Great Xia regime for over a thousand years. Their governing skills are only one reason, but the most important factor is their terrifying military strength. Due to their bloodline, each generation of the Great Xia royal family produces several Saint-level powerhouses, a tradition that has never ended. Anyone who has challenged the Great Xia royal family is no more; no one can survive their deliberate attacks.
Morpheus was speechless. He didn't know what to say. Should he apologize? That would be worse than death. But should he not apologize? Looking at the dozen or so Great Xia warriors around him, their eyes blazing with fury, he felt that the warhammer in his hand weighed more than ten thousand pounds and he couldn't lift it at all.
