Chapter 353 The Legend of the Treasure
“Sir, your father may have been... framed…” Helena replied immediately after hearing Qin Mo’s words.
"Framed? Can you tell me more about it, Helena!" Qin Mo's heart tightened. Although he had always suspected that Qin Lan's death was suspicious, this was the first time someone had confirmed his thoughts. He felt that he was not far from the truth.
"My lord, it is no secret that Emperor Achilles' treasure is in the Western Continent, but no one has ever found it, especially in the days when the royal court had just left hundreds of years ago. It is said that Oslo was crowded with people looking for the treasure."

"Is Emperor Achilles' treasure real? Then why didn't the royal court take it with them?" Qin Mo thought of the notebook about the treasure in her pocket. Could there really be such a treasure?
Helena nodded and said, "My lord, Uncle Cabel's ancestor was an attendant of Emperor Achilles. He was originally qualified to go to sea with the royal court, but for some reason he stayed behind. According to him, every descendant of the Elven race is qualified to inherit the emperor's treasure, as long as you can find it."
Qin Mo cursed inwardly, "Isn't that obvious? Once it's found, it'll definitely be inherited! Need I say more?"
Helena seemed to see the question in Qin Mo's mind, and she gently explained, "My lord, what I mean is, if you are not a descendant of the Elven race, even if you find the treasure, you cannot take it with you."
"So... someone has seen that legendary treasure?" Qin Mo was a little confused by Helena's meaning.

Helena shook her head and said, "Most people who search for treasure go to the royal court. Perhaps Uncle Cabel will know more."
Qin Mo shook her head and, after a long silence, said, "Tomorrow, could you please take me to visit Uncle Kabul?"
Seeing that Qin Mo's expression was not good, everyone tactfully took their leave. Hai Na lingered for a long time, but Qin Mo did not ask her to stay. She had no choice but to leave with Helena with great reluctance.
The former site of the Elven royal court is located on Hollenkomen Hill, north of Oslo, and is connected to the city by a wide stone staircase from the north.
Uncle Kaboul lived in the remaining buildings on either side of the stone steps.
"Legend has it that this place used to be the residence of high elves and elven officials, while commoners lived in the lower city. Uncle Kabul's ancestors were attendants of the emperor, so he was qualified to live here."
After daybreak, Helena led Qin Mo through the entire city of Oslo to the North District. She pointed to the most severely damaged group of buildings on both sides of the stone steps and told Qin Mo about the past of the Elven race.
The wide stone steps are flanked by collapsed buildings of various shapes. The few that have not collapsed are also dilapidated, with pits and holes all over their walls.
"When those greedy locusts couldn't find anything valuable, they even took the carvings on the walls. It's laughable that the elven totems became valuable decorations in the homes of Western Continent nobles... Haha!" Helena walked up the steps that held memories of past glories and couldn't help but laugh at herself.
"There are still hundreds of elves here, didn't they stop them?"

The elves lost their dominion over the jungle, and thus lost their very foundation for survival. Oslo had essentially become a dead city besieged by the orcs.
"Helena...did you bring guests?"
At the end of the stone steps stood an old elf. His eyes lit up for a moment when he saw Qin Mo, but he spoke without any expression.
"Uncle Kabul, this is Lord Qin Mo, he is one of our people!"
A hint of warmth appeared on the old Kabur's face. He extended his withered, twig-like hand in the elven greeting and said gently, "Welcome to the Holy Land. Which clan are you descended from?"
Qin Mo sensed Kabul's goodwill, but he simply couldn't answer the question.
"I don't know which clan I belong to, but my mother came here many years ago. Her name was Luna. Uncle Cabel, have you seen her?" Faced with the increasingly indifferent old elf, Qin Mo had no choice but to bring up her adoptive mother to deal with this conservative bloodline class theorist who was just as old-fashioned as Allen.
