Nice, but not smart

The castle was not quiet at night. In the middle of the night, one could always hear someone shouting, sometimes far away, sometimes near, accompanied by the howling of wolves.
Zhang Heqian stood up gently and followed the sound to the end of the fourth floor. The further he went in, the clearer the shouting became.
The sound didn't disappear until he hit the "wall". When he reached out and felt around, he realized it wasn't a wall at all, but a stone door that could be pushed open.
Just as Zhang Heqian was about to push away, a long voice came from behind him.
"What are you doing here?"

"What are you doing here? The fourth floor is off-limits at night. Didn't the servant who brought you up tell you that?"
The corridor was pitch black in the middle of the night, and with the Duke wearing black pajamas, Zhang Heqian felt that the world was even darker.
Although the Duke's eyes were hazy, his voice was clear and distinct. Just when Zhang Heqian couldn't think of an excuse, another voice came from behind the Duke.
"What are you doing?"
The sudden sound startled both of them.
Zhang Heqian was frightened and screamed, but the Duke remained calm. He just steadied the wine glass in his hand and caught the wine that was about to spill.
Zhang Keyi was still beside Qi Jing. She still had two ponytails hanging in front of her chest, looking as cute as a little rabbit.
"Damn you slaves! I didn't tell you that the fourth floor is off-limits at night. I'm going to punish them, severely!"
Frightened, anger took over. The Duke didn't ask Zhang Heqian what he was doing up there. Instead, he angrily yelled at him, "Get out! Get out, all of you bitches! Get out!"
The sudden madness caught everyone off guard. Qi Jing dragged Zhang Heqian down the stairs, dazed. As he passed Mr. Duke, something furry brushed against his calf. As Qi Jing dragged him along, he glanced back at the frantic Duke, the decreasing progress bar above his head, and the dark, moving figure behind him.
"Did you see it?" Zhang Heqian asked Qi Jing and Zhang Keyi in a daze.
Zhang Keyi touched her braid and said with lingering fear, "I saw it, I saw it."
Qi Jing asked him doubtfully, "What? What did you see?"
"Monsieur the Duke is mad!"
Zhang Keyi was tucking her ponytail with both hands, and she didn't look frightened at all. On the other hand, Zhang Heqian was stunned, saying, "There's a dark thing behind him, like..."
"It's a black thing, are you seeing things?" Zhang Keyi pretended to stretch out her hand and waved it in front of his eyes.
That look seems to be saying, are you okay?
The coquettish look made Zhang Heqian really think that he was dazzled and saw things, but he couldn't have been wrong about the furry touch.
After exchanging glances with Qi Jing, Zhang Heqian agreed with Zhang Keyi's opinion, nodded, and followed Qi Jing back to the room. Zhang Keyi went to the bathroom at the other end.
Back in the room, Zhang Heqian lowered his head and didn't look into anyone's eyes. He also lay on the bed with his head covered. Everyone in the room heard the roar from upstairs, and seeing Zhang Heqian's expression, they all tacitly understood and didn't ask anything.
Why didn't they say it and why didn't they ask? As long as you have heard their conversation at the door just now, I think you will understand, except for those things that have not completely replaced them.
