Chapter 114

Chapter 114

"Shan Jia, this is your chance!" Boss Hong was excited on the phone. "This is Le Sheng Entertainment's agency contract. If you sign it, you'll be the junior sister of the Four Divas! With Le Sheng Entertainment protecting you, your path in the entertainment industry will be much easier!"

Shan Jia rubbed her eyes and just woke up in the morning when she received a call from Zhou Wenhua, the producer of "Miracle Music", saying that Le Sheng Entertainment asked someone to find her and wanted to sign Shan Jia.

Zhou Wenhua thought this was an opportunity and asked Shan Jia to meet with people from Lesheng Entertainment, but Shan Jia directly refused.

Unexpectedly, she turned to Boss Hong to persuade Shan Jia.

Shan Jia frowned, and Boss Hong was spitting excitedly.

"How long have you waited for this opportunity? You're so stupid! Why don't you seize it now?"

"I'm not stupid." Shan Jia said.

"Then you should listen to what others say. You don't even go to meet the person, but just reject him directly. Why haven't I heard you act like such a big shot before?" Boss Hong is so disappointed!

Shan Jia said softly, "Lesheng Entertainment approached me before, but I rejected them."

"Ah? When did it happen? How come I didn't know about it?" Boss Hong asked in surprise.

Shan Jia pursed her lips: "They don't want to form a group, I can't go alone."

There was no sound on the other end of the line. Boss Hong suddenly realized something and after a moment of silence, he whispered, "Go see them again. They might find you again. Maybe they've changed their minds. You should try to get a say for Zhou Li and Zhu Le."

Shan Jia was silent for a moment, then said, "Okay."

She agreed, and Boss Hong was so happy that he couldn't stop smiling.

Zhou Wenhua quickly arranged a meeting. The other party seemed to be waiting for Shan Jia's reply and arranged it for tonight.

It’s a day off today, Shan Jia hung up the phone and sighed.

I don’t know whether it is good or bad.

"Dan Bao, are you awake?" Zhou Li knocked on the door. "If you don't wake up, it's time for lunch."

Shan Jia felt a little better when she heard Zhou Li's voice outside the door. She opened the door and Zhou Li leaned against the door frame and smiled at her, "Did you sleep well last night?"

Shan Jia nodded.

Zhou Li pouted, "I didn't sleep well."

She fell towards Shan Jia, was supported by Shan Jia, and hooked her arms around Shan Jia's neck, Zhou Li laughed.

"I dreamed about you all night, and when I opened the quilt in the morning, I saw you weren't in my arms. I was so angry."

Shan Jia's face turned red.

"Nonsense," she said.

Zhou Li wanted to say something, but she pulled his hand away out of disgust.

"Stand still." Shan Jia glanced at the camera at the corner of the stairs, and Zhou Li felt aggrieved.

Shan Jia closed the door and hooked Zhou Li's finger, and Zhou Li smiled.

"I have something to do tonight, so you and Zhu Le don't have to leave any food for me." Shan Jia said.

Zhou Li tilted his head and was taken downstairs by Shan Jia.

"Where are you going?"

Shan Jia said simply, "I have an invitation. If it's good, I'll tell you when I get back."

"Oh." Zhou Li nodded and stopped asking.

Although they are all adults, Zhou Li still knows how to keep a distance from each other.

After going downstairs, Zhu Le was lying on the sofa playing with his mobile phone and was hit on the head by Zhou Li.

"Have you practiced your piano yet? Have you got any ideas for the theme for the next competition? Come play around here!"

Zhu Le held his head in his hands and muttered quietly, "It's only been a day off, so I have to take it easy. Besides, I'm doing serious work!"

"What's the matter?" Zhou Li asked.

Zhu Le picked up his phone and said worriedly, "The Rotten Cabbage Band is also going to participate in the reunion competition in three days. They're struggling to choose the songs. They don't know whether to choose songs from their own band or some classic oldies. I'm just listening to the songs they've chosen."

"What did you choose?" Zhou Li leaned forward and Zhu Le opened his phone to show Zhou Li.

"I actually quite like the original songs by Lan Baicai and the others, but after watching the last few rounds of competition, they don't seem to be very popular with the audience!"

Zhou Li said, "Let me listen."

Zhu Le handed the earphones over, and Zhou Li put one in Shan Jia's ear and then put one on himself.

Zhu Le looked at it eagerly.

Zhou Li took Shan Jia's hand, walked around from behind the sofa and sat down, unconsciously playing with Shan Jia's hand while listening to music.

Shan Jia was also focused on choosing songs and didn't notice.

Zhu Le found it a little strange.

Aren't these two too close? But girls are always closer than boys, that's normal.

Choosing songs is very important for contestants in the competition. After listening to these five songs, although Zhou Li also likes the original songs of the Lanbaicai band, he has to say that they are too refreshing and may not be accepted by the audience. Not all audiences have professional appreciation levels, so Zhou Li voted for another familiar classic old song.

Shan Jia insists on the originality of Rotten Cabbage because she feels that this represents Rotten Cabbage and is the soul of Rotten Cabbage.

Zhu Le didn't expect the captain and the boss to disagree. He listened to their arguments, fearing they would start arguing, so he immediately tried to smooth things over: "I'll tell the rotten cabbage guys about your feedback. After all, they chose the song, so they must have an idea in mind."

Zhou Li touched his nose and hummed.

Shan Jia lowered his head and looked at his fingers. There was a gap between their bodies.

Zhou Li felt a little uneasy. This was the first time she and Shan Jia had quarreled. She asked quietly, "Are you angry?"

Shan Jia shook her head. She looked up at Zhou Li and said, "I want a Coke, ice cold."

"Now?" Zhou Li looked at the clock on the wall. It was only nine o'clock. Drinking iced drinks right after getting up? Shan Jia had never asked for this before.

"Yes! It's in the refrigerator!" Zhu Le responded impatiently and hurriedly got up to get it, fearing that the two would quarrel again.

Zhou Li pursed her lips.

She was not angry.

How could she be angry with Shan Jia because of other people's affairs? They just had different opinions.

Shan Jia took the ice cola handed to him by Zhu Le and drank it all in one gulp, then let out a breath from his chest.

"I'm going out for a walk."

Zhou Li looked at her.

Shan Jia didn't pull her.

"Did you two have a fight last night?" Zhu Le asked.

I felt weird when I woke up in the morning.

Zhou Li smiled: "Maybe it's because I didn't have breakfast."

It's normal to have disagreements, but Shan Jia's condition is not right.

Shan Jia stood in the small garden in front of the villa with a Coke in his hand, quietly looking at the flowers blooming in the flowerbed.

The last time she rejected the invitation from LeSheng Entertainment, Tang Bai found out. Tang Bai took the other members of the band away, formed a road band, and sued her for the copyright of the songs. Now it's LeSheng again. Shan Jia feels uneasy, and then she finds out that she and Zhou Li have differences in ideas again.

She insisted on being herself, so she could endure the loneliness, because for Shan Jia, this was the path to practicing music, but what about Zhou Li? Did she also want to be like Tang Bai and have ambitions for the future? After all, if she accepted Le Sheng, it would be good for the future development of the band.

He tilted his head back and took another sip of Coke.

Last time, the only lie Shan Jia told was that she remained silent about the fact that Le Sheng only wanted to sign her. If she had told everyone, would things not have turned out like this, causing Tang Bai to still hold a grudge against her?

Shan Jia thought a lot in his heart, and Zhou Li was also reflecting on himself.

She was so proud of herself for having a partner that she thought there was nothing to argue about. She went to find Shan Jia. Shan Jia had just finished a can of Coke and threw it into the trash can when Zhou Li grabbed his wrist and threw him into the bushes in the corner.

The green trees provided shade, and it was almost impossible to see anyone here from the outside. Zhou Li silently bowed his head and admitted his mistake: "I shouldn't have argued with you just now. I didn't mean to oppose you."

Shan Jia saw Zhou Li's whorl of hair. Her jet-black hair was quietly draped over her shoulders, revealing her pretty forehead. Her pair of black pupils looked at Shan Jia nervously.

Shan Jia twisted her wrist and broke free from Zhou Li's hand. She put her hands on her cheeks, raised her chin slightly, and kissed Zhou Li.

"I'm not angry." The murmured voice brushed across Zhou Li's face along with the gentle breeze and reached her ears.

Zhou Li's throat rolled, "I'll listen to you next time."

Shan Jia chuckled, "So good."

Zhou Li bit her lips.

"Boss? Captain?" Zhu Le's strange cry came from inside the room, and it came out through the window. "Where did you two go? Are you still going to eat? Are you ordering takeout or going out to eat?"

Shan Jia pushed Zhou Li away, his lips were red from being bitten. Zhou Li laughed muffledly, but Shan Jia glared at him, and he pushed aside the bushes and walked out.

Zhou Li licked his lips, followed behind, and walked into the house and said lazily to Zhu Le, "Eat whatever's in the refrigerator."

Zhu Le opened the refrigerator and looked, "Onions, tomatoes, and a bag of pasta."

"Let your boss make pasta. I've been craving that for a long time." Zhou Li smiled contentedly.

Zhu Le looked at her in confusion, feeling that she was like a well-fed lioness.

Shan Jia covered her mouth with her hands, her lips burning. She nodded and said in a muffled voice, "I'll do it."

Zhu Le carried the ingredients into the open kitchen and was about to help when he was pushed out by Zhou Li.

"Go check my backstage and help me reply to the cooperation invitation. We are not accepting any work recently and are focusing on the competition. Please reply tactfully."

Zhou Li threw the phone to Zhu Le and rolled up her sleeves to wash the vegetables.

Zhu Le looked at the two people huddled in front of the sink, feeling baffled. Weren't they arguing just now? How did they end up like that?

He shook his head, looking at Zhou Li's 99+ private message and taking a deep breath. How long would it take to reply? No wonder the captain didn't want to reply.

Zhu Le glanced at them resentfully, then thought that they had just gotten back together and needed some space to spend time together, so he quietly gave up the kitchen and sat on the sofa, replying to private messages honestly.

In the kitchen, Shan Jia was caught by Zhou Li just as he put his hand into the water to wash tomatoes.

"I'll do it."

Shan Jia tried to pull his hand away, but Zhou Li held on purposely. Only after Shan Jia elbowed him did he let go obediently.

She grimaced in pain, but Shan Jia's lips curled up slightly.

Zhou Li saw it and couldn't help but laugh.

It’s good to laugh. Laughing means that the matter is over.

After lunch, everyone was feeling sleepy. Zhu Le brought over his bass, played it a few times, and put it aside. Zhou Li turned on the TV and tuned to the "Music of Miracles" program to watch the full broadcast. Zhu Le felt a little embarrassed and yelled, "Captain! Are you narcissistic? We all know what the live performance was like. We still have to watch it again!"

Zhou Li opened the barrage, glanced at him and said, "If you don't watch it, how can you know what the audience thinks?"

Zhu Le thought about it and it made sense, so he sat down obediently.

He has watched three episodes of the show so far, but has not watched any of them in their entirety.

The pilot film played by Zhou Lixian looked completely different from what it saw on TV and in reality.

Zhu Le exclaimed, "Were we like this? I just remember being very nervous."

Zhou Li didn't say anything, and neither did Shan Jia, who watched the live performance on TV with a frown.

The sound was obviously edited, and it sounded very different from the live performance. On TV, the level of performance was pretty close. Looking at the comments, everyone was discussing who Rebirth was. "Hurry Out" won second place, and their comments were clearly more negative than positive.

Zhu Le also fell silent.

Zhou Li and Shan Jia saw things differently. Zhou Li whispered to Shan Jia, "We performed too many little tricks."

Shan Jia nodded.
