Chronic dural hemorrhage
The flame on the oil lamp danced and flickered gently. In the crowded room, the only sound was the crackling of the burning flame.
Su Yunwei continued to examine Mr. Du's body. She carefully lifted Mr. Du's head, turned it over and over to check, pulling out his hair inch by inch and examining it carefully.
When she noticed a subcutaneous hematoma under her scalp, the answer suddenly came to her mind.
"I'm afraid the old man has a 'chronic subdural hematoma'."
Du's mother couldn't remember the difficult professional vocabulary that Su Yunwei said, and could only stammer and repeat the first few words: "Chronic hard... hard what?" She looked at Du Yinyin beside her, then turned to look at Jiang by the door, hoping that they could explain to her what this meant.
"What kind of disease is this? How come I've never heard of it?" Fu Li said with a frown. He considered himself a well-read person, but how come he had never seen this name in a book.
"It's the old man's head. He might have suffered some kind of impact a few months ago. Over time, blood has accumulated in his brain and formed a blood clot, which is why he feels uncomfortable."
"This time it's very likely that the blood clot grew larger, causing pressure on the brain, which is why he fell into a coma."
Fu Li: "You mean there's blood in the brain?"
Su Yunwei: "That's right."
Du's mother finally understood what he meant and asked hurriedly, "Then how should we treat it?"
Treatment requires a craniotomy to drain the blood clots. Unfortunately, this is ancient times, without modern medical care. Su Yunwei said with some regret, "Yes, there are, but..." She laughed awkwardly. "We need to make a small hole in the old man's head." She gestured with her fingers to measure the size of the hole. "A surgery to drain the blood clots would basically cure the old man."
Everyone: “!!!!!!!!!”
Opening the skull, is she crazy? How can the master-in-law still survive after prying open his brain? This girl is even more ruthless than me.
Jiang strolled slowly to Du's mother's side, pouting and saying, "Old sister, what kind of doctor did your son-in-law find? It would have been fine if he'd just gone crazy at the door, but he actually came here with an epilepsy and opened my father-in-law's head. His brains were all over the floor. How could he survive?"
When Du's mother heard Su Yun's words, her face turned pale. Jiang's words frightened her even more and she relaxed. If Du Yinyin hadn't been quick to support her, she would have almost fainted.
Du Yinyin supported her exhausted mother Du, and was furious. But now was not the time to lose her temper and cause trouble to anyone, so she could only glare at Jiang fiercely. However, Du Yinyin looked weak and charming, and not only did she not intimidate, but she was even more seductive with her eyes. Gu Youying, who was standing next to Jiang, was so moved by the sight of her that his body softened.
"Weiwei said she can cure it, so she can cure it. I believe her."
A clear and distinct voice sounded, and Fu Changan looked at Su Yunwei with a gentle and firm gaze. Su Yunwei felt warm in her heart, and she met his gaze directly with a light smile.
"What's the point of believing her? It's not like I'm drilling a hole in your brain, so of course you believe her." Jiang snorted relentlessly. She naturally wanted her husband to die so that she could control a widow who had just lost her husband. Moreover, Jiang had to avenge the anger at the door. Besides, Jiang had a feeling that this girl had some real abilities. She had to stop her and never let her save her husband.
Jiang was reminding herself in her mind almost like a madman. She suddenly remembered the wanted poster she saw at the market a few days ago. Didn’t it say that the criminal who killed people and took their hearts had not been arrested yet?
A vicious thought arose in her mind, and Jiang curled her lips and snorted, "You want to pry open my father-in-law's head? Aren't you the executioner who kills people and takes out their hearts?" Jiang pointed at Su Yunwei angrily, as if the victim whose heart was taken out was a relative of his.
Su Yunwei said calmly, "I don't want to pry open your father-in-law's head."
Jiang: “????”
Is she teasing herself? Jiang was so angry that she was shaking all over. She had been teased by this little bitch several times today, and her heart was trembling with pain.
Su Yunwei: "If I had the tools, I would really like to open his skull and remove the blood clots, but I don't have the tools I need here."
"Whatever tools you need, I can find them for you." A male voice they had never heard before came from the doorway. Su Yunwei and the others looked up to see a tall figure approaching. He wore a blue shirt and black hair, and had a handsome face. Even in the dim light, his features revealed a deep, profound expression.
Gu Youyuan was still standing by the door. The man passed by, his sleeves fluttering, bringing a cool breeze. She stared at his profile infatuatedly, her fingers curled unconsciously, her little face flushed like a delicious red apple.
Jiang's eyes were fixed on his face and she couldn't move them away. She looked dazed and couldn't speak.
It seems that this relative-in-law is not destined to die, but... She turned her gaze to her daughter. Seeing her amorous look on her face, it seems that the Du family's money is destined to be with her family.
"It's Xuzhou." Du Yinyin saw her brother arrived exhausted, tears streaming from her eyes. Fu Li saw this and hurried to comfort his beloved wife.
Du Xuzhou gave Du Yinyin a reassuring smile, then walked straight to Su Yunwei. He was originally planning to return home from Jiangnan, but when he was halfway through his journey, he suddenly received the news that his father was seriously ill. He rushed back day and night, fearing that he would miss the last sight of his father.
"Whatever tools you need, I can find them for you." Du Xuzhou is a famous medicine dealer in Jiangnan. He has traveled all over the country over the years, even to Yingzhou. He has met countless extraordinary people and seen many strange medical skills.
As long as the young lady in front of him wants something, he will definitely be able to give it to her.
"Can you give me whatever I want?" Su Yunwei was a little unconvinced.
Du Xuzhou: "You speak first."
Su Yunwei didn't know how to describe it, how could she say it, she could only bite the bullet and say, "Do you have a pen?"
Du Xuzhou was stunned for a moment. Then he replied, "Yes."
Su Yunwei: "Give me a pen and some paper, and I'll draw what I need."
Du Xuzhou hurriedly agreed, but he seldom went home because of his father, so he looked around but couldn't find the pen and paper. Du Yinyin was not familiar with where the things were kept in this house, and wanted to ask Du's mother, but Du's mother was so scared that she hadn't recovered yet.
Just as everyone was searching everywhere for a small pen, a soft voice sounded in Du Xuzhou's ears, and a pair of slender, porcelain-white hands stretched out in front of him.
"Here, here are some pen and paper." Gu Youyuan naturally knew where Father Du's study was. When Su Yunwei asked for pen and paper, he immediately ran to the study and got them.
Du Xuzhou looked at the item the woman handed him, was slightly stunned for a moment, and then took it. He said softly, "Thank you."
Gu Youyuan blushed slightly and replied softly, "You're welcome."
Jiang nodded secretly. Her daughter really deserved all the good food and drink she provided.
Du Xuzhou hurriedly handed the paper and pen to Su Yunwei. Su Yunwei found a place, spread out the paper, and drew a few things needed for craniotomy. Du Xuzhou stood aside and looked at the things she drew, and was shocked.
The young lady of the same age as her is actually an expert in medicine.
Su Yunwei handed the finished drawing to Du Xuzhou. The lines on the paper were clear, and the tools outlined had strange shapes. These things were something that no one present had ever heard of or seen before.
Du Xuzhou took the blueprint and scanned the tools on it one by one, his brows furrowed, but soon relaxed. He had been traveling around for many years and had seen a lot of overseas equipment. Although he could not recognize all of those on the paper, he could roughly guess their uses.
Du Xuzhou looked at Su Yunwei deeply, his surprise at her growing. He raised his head and said firmly, "Don't worry, I will definitely find these things for you. I will do it tonight, and I will prepare everything you need by noon tomorrow."
Su Yunwei was a little curious about how he could get something so difficult to get so quickly, but now was not the time to be curious. She decided to finish the task at hand first. Su Yunwei said, "I also need cloth. Please prepare some clean white cloth for me. If you have any anesthetic, I'd also like some. Please also prepare some liquor for me."
"Okay, I've taken note of it." Du Xuzhou agreed, took the drawings, and hurried into the night.
Du Yinyin stared at Du Xuzhou's disappearing back with a solemn expression. She naturally believed that her brother could find what Su Yunwei needed, but seeing that he looked haggard and tired, he must have rushed back day and night after hearing the news that his father was seriously ill.
Du Yinyin was worried about Du Xuzhou's health.
Du Xuzhou's arrival brought a turning point to the stalemate, but after all, it required making a cut in someone's head. Speaking of this, it was really scary.
Seeing Du Xuzhou's trust in Su Yunwei, Jiang Shi, although unwilling to accept it, did not dare to openly obstruct him. She just curled her lips and muttered in a sarcastic tone, "Let's see how you end it tomorrow."
"Since Xuzhou can't deliver the tools until tomorrow, let's all rest tonight." Du Yinyin greeted everyone. There was no point in everyone gathering here so late.
Jiang secretly rolled her eyes at Du Yinyin, then walked out with her two sons. They all had to go to bed, and if she didn't go and take up the beds, she would be the one sleeping on the floor tonight.
Gu Youyuan was still staying in the room with Su Yunwei and the others. She knew that Jiang had left, but she couldn't understand why Jiang ran back to the room in such a hurry.
"I'll stay with father tonight, mother, you go and get some rest."
Du's mother had regained consciousness when Du Xuzhou left. She knew that her son had returned for a short while and then left in a hurry.
Tears streamed down her face. Mother Du gently caressed Du Yinyin's cheek and said with a long-lost apology, "Your father treated you like that, and you..." She paused for a moment and continued, "You're such a good child."
"We are the ones who let you down!"
Du Yinyin held the hand caressing her face, feeling warm in her heart: "There's no such thing as a father and daughter holding grudges overnight. As long as my father can wake up safely, I'll be satisfied."
After saying this, the mother and daughter burst into tears again.
Su Yunwei stared blankly at the tender scene before her, feeling mixed emotions.
I don’t know what my parents are doing right now?
Did they quarrel? Did they eat?
Do you think about yourself?
