Chapter 103 Never Liked

He Ji.

His face was ashen, and his jawline was even more pronounced after a few days apart.

Li Baobei looked at her, her eyes growing redder and redder, rain pattering on her fair face. "Have you never liked me, He Ji?" she asked, enunciating each word clearly.

He Ji was soaking wet, and his eyes were hidden under his hat, so Li Baobei couldn't see his expression.

He Ji felt his heart was in agony. He longed to go down and hold her, to tell her that he loved her very much.

But he couldn't. His time was running out. This way, she would be happier. Once she forgot him, everything would disappear.

He suppressed the tremor in his heart, feigning indifference, and said in a torn tone, "I've never liked you."

Li Baobei continued searching the ground for the diamond ring, looking for evidence that He Ji loved her.

She finally found the diamond ring in the grass by the roadside. She treasured it and wiped it in her hand.

He limped over to He Ji's side and said, "Then what is this? Say something, He Ji."

"Is this how you rich people pass the time?" Li Baobei asked stubbornly, staring intently at He Ji's pale face.

She longed to take off his hat and see what kind of eyes were hidden inside.

He Ji reached out and took the diamond ring, then said with difficulty, "Li Baby, we're not a good match. Let's leave it at that! It's fine for you, and for me."

He Ji felt as if his heart was bleeding, and tears involuntarily slid down his cheeks. He was grateful for the rain today, which made it impossible to tell whether the tears were tears or rain.

He casually tossed the diamond ring down, and in the blink of an eye, it landed in the grass not far from Li Baobei and disappeared.

The pain in his body continued to irritate him, and he took steps forward, one after another.

He didn't even glance back at Li Baobei, who was staring blankly behind him.

Is this the result?

I'm so unwilling to accept this!

Everything seemed to have vanished into this cold night.

"I still like you, He Ji."

She didn't know if she was still crying; her eyes hurt terribly, and she couldn't come to her senses as she watched He Ji gradually disappear into the rain.
