In the distance, the green mountains stretch endlessly, lush and verdant, while nearby, the green water flows gently, shimmering in the sunlight.
A refreshing scent filled the air, making one feel relaxed and invigorated.
"Is this the place I used to live in?" Li Baobei looked at the scenery before her, staring incredulously at the beautiful village that resembled a paradise.
She tried to search deep into her memory, but to no avail, as if this place had never existed in her life.
Anji watched her silently from the side, a hint of barely perceptible patience flashing in his eyes.
She answered softly, "Mmm."
Li Baobei turned her head, her gaze meeting An Ji's.
Her lips curled up slightly, revealing a faint smile, like a flower blooming in spring.
"Thank you, Dark Silence. Although I don't remember the past, I can feel that you must be very important to me."
Her words were like a spring breeze, stirring ripples in the still lake of my heart.
Upon hearing this, Anji was somewhat stunned.
Am I really that important to her?
The thought flashed through her mind, followed by a surge of emotion and joy.
Anji took a deep breath, trying to calm her excitement. She knew that as long as Li Baobei thought she was important, that was enough.
Because she is my first friend, and my friend forever.

Dongfang Yerong finally returned to the Church of Light, which he had been away from for so long. Every blade of grass and every tree here was so familiar and dear to him.
However, at this moment, he was burdened with a heavy responsibility—taking over all affairs of the Church of Light.
Faced with the heavy workload of the Church of Light, Dongfang Yerong did not back down, but instead showed unprecedented determination and courage.
He realized that his father had aged visibly in just one year, and that it was all his fault, so he was determined to make amends.
Meanwhile, Anji remained by Li Baobei's side throughout, which was exactly the arrangement Dongfang Yerong had hoped for.
After all, the two of them were once close friends, and now that Anji is protecting Li Baobei, Dongfang Yerong will naturally feel much more at ease.
Night fell, and the hazy moonlight enveloped the earth.
Dongfang Yerong asked softly, "Has she fallen asleep?"
Anji nodded silently in response, "Mm." It seemed that a thousand words were welling up in his heart, but when he tried to speak, they were stuck in his throat and he couldn't say them.
Dongfang Yerong noticed Anji's hesitation and took the initiative to ask, "What do you want to say?"
After a moment of hesitation, Anji mustered his courage and said, "Master, do you intend to keep this from Miss Li forever? What if one day she suddenly remembers the past..." He stopped abruptly before he could finish, as if endless worries were hidden behind his words.
Upon hearing this, Dongfang Yerong trembled slightly. He slowly stood up from the wooden chair, walked to the window, and gazed up at the bright moon hanging high in the distance.
The moonlight, like water, spilled across the earth, breathtakingly beautiful, almost unreal.
After a long silence, Dongfang Yerong sighed softly and replied, "I know." The three simple words contained a wealth of complex emotions, a mixture of helplessness and determination.
He wanted to tell Li Baobei the truth, but for now, he felt that keeping it from her was probably the best outcome.
"Recalling the past may be painful for her..."
*
The last rays of the setting sun cast long shadows of Li Baobei and Dongfang Yerong.
They walked side by side along the stream, the crystal-clear water flowing gently and making a crisp, melodious sound.
Li Baobei leaped lightly like a cheerful little deer, while Dongfang Yerong quietly followed her steps, a faint smile always on her face.
Such a peaceful and beautiful scene brings a sense of warmth and comfort.
Suddenly, Li Baobei stopped in her tracks, her gaze drawn to a bunch of wildflowers not far away.
The flowers were bright and dazzling, as colorful as the sunset on the horizon.
Her eyes sparkled with surprise, and she couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow~ Dongfang, look, that flower is so beautiful!"
As if sensing Li Baobei's inner longing, Dongfang Yerong smiled slightly and said softly, "She is indeed very beautiful." He looked at the innocent and lovely girl in front of him, his heart filled with tenderness.
Li Baobei secretly thought that if she could bring this bouquet of flowers home and put it in a vase, it would look very beautiful.
However, reality gave her a small regret—the wildflowers grew on the other side of the stream, separated by a rushing current, which she simply couldn't cross with her abilities.
Just as Li Baobei was feeling sorry for him, Dongfang Yerong lightly touched the ground and his body soared into the air like a bird, flying towards the other side of the stream.
His movements were elegant and graceful, like a fairy dancing.
In the blink of an eye, he arrived at the wildflowers, carefully picked the bunch of flowers, and then turned and flew towards Li Baobei.
"Here you go, Nannan." Dongfang Yerong handed the flowers in her hand to Li Baobei, her eyes filled with endless tenderness.
"Thank you, Dongfang!" Li Baobei happily accepted the flowers, enjoying their delicate fragrance, and felt exceptionally joyful.
The two continued walking side by side, their laughter echoing throughout.
As time went by, the sky gradually darkened, and night quietly fell.
Just then, Dongfang Yerong suddenly broke the silence and said softly, "Nannan, I want to take you to a special place."
Upon hearing this, Li Baobei's eyes sparkled with excitement. She blinked her beautiful big eyes and replied with great joy, "Okay~" Her voice revealed an irrepressible anticipation.
