He You looked at Li Baobei with doting eyes, "My residence is right next door, didn't Nannan notice?"
Li Baobei was a little confused for a moment, "Good heavens, what kind of operation is this?"
"Is this He You's skill? He managed to arrange himself next to him without making a sound. We really can't underestimate Lord He."
She kept scrutinizing He You, wondering how many secrets he still held.
She couldn't help but think of the assassin she had encountered in the woods earlier.
Those assassins are from the South, why would they come to assassinate He You?
This is really strange!
Li Baobei thought about the novel she had read before.
She tried to recall if there was any explanation for He You's identity, but after thinking for a long time, she couldn't think of any information about He You.
That novel makes no mention of He You's background.
That's outrageous.
He You watched as Li Baobei's big eyes darted about in their watery sockets, revealing a lively and adorable deer-like charm.
"Nannan, what are you thinking about?" he asked gently.
He You stopped walking, her eyes still looking at Li Baobei with tenderness.
He wanted to know what she was thinking, he really wanted to know.
Li Baobei looked intently at He You, wanting to know what kind of person he really was.
But the words just wouldn't come out.
No worries, there's plenty of time in the future, so why worry? If you want to tell yourself that, why ask at all?
"Hehe, I was thinking that being so close to you, I can easily find you in the future. It feels so good!" Li Baobei smiled sweetly as she looked at He You.
He You replied softly, "Yes, I'll be waiting anytime."
She continued, "Lord He, the New Year is just around the corner. Can we celebrate it together? I'd like to spend it with you."
Li Baobei wants to spend her first New Year in this world with He You.
He You's eyes flickered. He had never celebrated the New Year before, because in his view, the New Year was no different from any other day.
Would things be different if I lived with Nan Nan?
"Mmm," he answered softly.
"Then it's settled, Lord He. Come to my place for dinner on New Year's Eve. I'll be waiting for you."
Li Baobei smiled sweetly and quickly said, "Let's pull the ditch."
He You didn't understand, "What is a 'pull-up'?"
“That’s it!” Li Baobei said, then took He You’s right hand.
Hooking his little finger around He You's right little finger, he said, "Pinky promise, a hundred years from now, or I'm a puppy."
He looked at him tenderly. At this moment, he felt like the happiest person in the world. He wanted to remember this moment for the rest of his life.
The morning mist had just dissipated, and glistening dewdrops clung to the green leaves.
What a beautiful day!
Li Baobei stretched in the yard when she got up in the morning, feeling that she was sleeping longer and longer, but she didn't care at all.
I've been living too comfortably lately, just eating and sleeping. If I don't do something soon, I'll really regress.
"I wonder what Lord He is doing right now?"
Li Baobei couldn't help but think, and said helplessly, "Forget it! Let's talk about it after breakfast. Lord He isn't going to run away."
She's been getting hungry very quickly lately and feels like she's gained a lot of weight.
So she turned around and walked to the dressing mirror, looking at herself in the mirror.
"What?!"
"What happened?!"
She felt as if she had suddenly changed, and a silent transformation had taken place within her.
The woman in the mirror seemed to have been reborn, her figure graceful and elegant, like willow catkins dancing in the breeze, her perfectly proportioned curves captivating.
Her fair skin accentuated her beautiful figure, making her look like a forest sprite, both alluring and full of spirit.
The child has finally grown up.
Li Baobei couldn't help but admire herself, "Beautiful woman, truly a beauty."
If you look at yourself every day, you'll definitely live a long life.
Bizhu came in and saw Li Baobei staring blankly in front of the bronze mirror.
"Princess, what are you doing?" she asked, puzzled.
Li Baobei glanced at Bizhu happily, "Bizhu, have you noticed any changes in me?"
"Hmm?" After hearing Li Baobei's words, Bizhu looked at her carefully, glancing left and right.
She answered seriously after a short while: "Princess, you don't seem to have changed at all."
"Really? I think I've become prettier!"
Li Baobei struck a pose and looked at herself in the mirror; she did look much better.
Bizhu blinked and replied blankly, "Hasn't the princess always been beautiful?"
Bizhu looked at Li Baobei with pure and innocent eyes, and Li Baobei couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"Bizhu, you're so cute, hahaha~"
Bizhu blushed instantly and said in a shy tone, "Princess, you're teasing me again."
"I won't say anymore, I won't say anymore, my dear Bizhu, please help me dress up!" Li Baobei turned around and looked at Bizhu with a smile.
Bizhu: "Yes, Princess."
Tomorrow is Lunar New Year's Eve, and today Li Baobei plans to take Bizhu to the street to buy some of her favorite New Year's goods.
The two walked down a busy street because the New Year was just around the corner.
The streets were bustling with activity, and there were twice as many vendors as usual.
Li Baobei's eyes sparkled with excitement as she looked at all sorts of things along the roadside with delight.
Suddenly she saw an old woman with many small pieces of jewelry on her table.
He then stepped forward and examined the area closely.
On the corner of the table was an inconspicuous bracelet, seemingly made of red agate, with a somewhat dull color.
