Chapter 62 clearly doesn't belong to a good person.

Li Baobei returned to the Treasure Pavilion of the Prime Minister's Mansion.

The interior decoration was exactly the same as before, and there wasn't a speck of dust on the table.

It was as if someone had been cleaning it all along; the Prime Minister and his wife truly doted on this third young lady.

She sat calmly on the swing next to the ginkgo tree, swaying gently.

The once golden leaves have all fallen, leaving only bare branches.

When spring returns to the earth and all things revive in March and April, the ginkgo trees will begin to sprout again.

Then it will be a thriving scene again.

Li Baobei sat on the swing with her eyes closed, resting, when Bizhu's voice faintly reached her ears.

“Young Master Zhang, you cannot go in. The princess is resting and it is not convenient for her to receive guests right now.”

Li Baobei slowly opened her eyes and saw Bizhu blocking a man at the gate of the courtyard.

This man was short, of medium build, with an oily face and a lewd smile on his lips, making him very unpleasant to look at.

She found it strange that she had no recollection of this man at all.

Zhang Maowen looked up and saw Li Baobei sitting not far away. He then pushed Bizhu aside forcefully and strode over.

Bizhu followed Zhang Maowen helplessly and ran over anxiously.

“My name is Zhang Maowen, the nephew of Aunt Zhang. I came to pay my respects for the New Year recently and am staying at the Prime Minister’s residence. Today I have come to greet Princess Chang Le. Please do not take offense, Princess Chang Le.”

Zhang Maowen spoke impeccably, feeling that his current appearance would absolutely captivate countless young women.

Princess Chang Le is certainly no match for her.

"Oh! I'm so sorry to have troubled you with this, Cousin Zhang." Li Baobei stood up and gracefully walked to the stone table to sit down. Bizhu quickly poured her a cup of tea.

Zhang Maowen, as if they were old friends, sat down at the stone table and stared intently at Li Baobei.

He secretly observed her: Li Baobei had raised her eyebrows lightly, like distant mountains, with phoenix eyebrows and bright eyes. Every glance she gave was captivating. She had a delicate nose and skin as white as snow.

Her crimson lips, like a touch of red plum blossom in the snow, were both aloof and alluring, making her look exactly like a fairy who had stepped out of a painting.

Zhang Maowen couldn't help but swallow hard.

Li Baobei sensed Zhang Maowen's greedy gaze and couldn't help but frown, her displeasure growing.

She looked up and met Zhang Maowen's probing gaze, and instantly felt a little nauseous.

She said coldly, "Is there anything else, Cousin Zhang? If not, I'd like to go back to my room to rest. I'm quite tired after a long day of traveling."

Zhang Maowen immediately looked worried and asked with concern, "Is the princess feeling unwell? Should I go out and fetch a doctor? If so, I will certainly do my best."

He stood up as he spoke, intending to help Li Baobei.

Bizhu stood in front of him quickly and said sternly, "Young Master Zhang, please be mindful of your words and actions."

"Bizhu, see the guests out!" Li Baobei said in a neutral tone.

Then Bizhu looked at Zhang Maowen with a firm gaze and said, "Young Master Zhang, please!" She gestured with one hand toward the courtyard gate.

Zhang Maowen wanted to take another look at Li Baobei, but Bizhu blocked his way.

He sighed helplessly, "Then I won't bother you today, Maowen. I'll visit another time."

After saying that, he turned around and walked out decisively, his back ramrod straight, thinking himself dashing and debonair.

He wasn't in a hurry; he'd take it slow. Anyway, his aunt would help him.

He's determined to have Li Nannan; she's as beautiful as a fairy, and marrying her would definitely be a great blessing in his life.

Zhang Maowen hummed a little tune as he swayed away after leaving the house.

Seeing that the person had left, Bizhu snorted angrily, "Princess, that person was clearly not a good person."

Li Baobei glanced indifferently at the garden gate and said in a flat tone, "Well, I'll be more careful next time. I'm a little sleepy today, I'll go back and rest for a while."

Li Baobei returned to her room, sat on the soft couch, closed her eyes to rest, and the room was filled with a faint fragrance of sandalwood.

Its scent gives one a feeling of tranquility and joy.

As darkness fell and night descended, the candlelight flickered.

The room was dimly lit, and Li Baobei lay on the bed looking at her love bracelet.

Why does this bracelet always feel so familiar to me?

Knock knock knock~

A soft knock came from outside the window.

Li Baobei was startled and asked in a cold voice, "Who?"

He You's gentle voice rang out from outside: "Nan Nan, it's me."

She felt her heart warm instantly and happily said, "Lord He~"

She jumped out of bed and skipped to open the door.

He You stood tall and straight outside the door, wearing a black cloak.

Li Baobei jumped into his arms and hugged him tightly: "I missed you so much, Lord He."

He You gently picked her up, placed her on the bed, and pulled the blanket up to wrap her up tightly.

She said softly, "Don't catch a cold."

He casually closed the door and then slowly walked towards her.

He sat gently on the edge of the bed, watching her.

His eyes were full of affection, like an ocean overflowing with love, irresistible and making one want to pamper him.

Li Baobei quickly pulled back the blanket, snuggled into his arms, and said sweetly, "I won't get cold in Lord He's arms."

He You held her tightly and covered her with his cloak.

"I came to see you today to warn you to be careful of Aunt Zhang and Zhang Maowen."

Li Baobei looked up at He You's face, blinked, and said, "Didn't Lord He miss me?"

He You hugged her even tighter: "I do."
