Chapter 65 Longing

Li Baobei stood up, ready to leave. Today's poetry competition had been quite an eye-opener.

There's probably nothing fun going to happen next time, let's come back another time!

She quietly bid farewell to Dongfang Yerong beside her, saying, "Congratulations, young master, on winning first place today. I'll take my leave now."

After saying that, he led Zhang Pan'er and her group out of the crowd.

Dongfang Yerong looked at the poem in her hand and couldn't help but be surprised. She was about to say something when she realized that the person had already left...

"How was it? Was today exciting enough?" Li Baobei sat on the soft couch, sipping tea, her tone calm and unhurried.

The three women had changed back into their daughters' clothes, looking incredibly charming and smiling, like a painting of beauties.

"Haha~ Today really got me excited," Zhang Pan'er laughed.

Li Baobei noticed that Zhang Pan'er had changed slightly from when they first met; she no longer had the timid and hesitant demeanor she used to have.

I've become much more confident and poised.

Zhang Pan'er continued to look at her and asked, "I'm also very curious, Princess, what poem did you compose? May I hear it?"

Li Baobei rolled her eyes, a faint smile on her face, "Do you really want to hear it?"

Zhang Pan'er nodded quickly.

Bizhu replied in a low voice, "Princess, this servant also wants to know."

"All right!"

Li Baobei read it aloud lazily: "Red beans grow in the south, how many branches will sprout in spring? I wish you would gather more, for this is the most cherished token of love."

After speaking, Li Baobei elegantly sipped her tea, and smiled faintly as she watched the two of them deep in thought.

After hearing this, the two lowered their heads and fell into deep thought.

"What a wonderful poem! It's truly a wonderful poem!" Zhang Pan'er exclaimed after three seconds.

He continued, "This poem is brimming with youthful passion and the spirit of youth. It is full of feelings but never directly expresses them. Yet, the longing for love is portrayed vividly."

The language is clear and concise, yet subtle and implicit, conveying profound emotions in simple words.

Bizhu scratched her head and looked at the two of them, saying, "Although Bizhu doesn't understand poetry very well, after Miss Zhang's explanation, I really think that the princess's poem is a masterpiece."

Zhang Pan'er nodded secretly, looking at Li Baobei with admiration and praising, "If Princess's poem were written in the Dream Pavilion today, it would probably be just as good as the poem written by the young master next to us. What a pity!"

Li Baobei interrupted, saying, "No! That young master is truly talented, so I'll pass."

She knows her own limitations.

At this moment, an uninvited guest entered the Treasure Pavilion Garden.
