Chapter 84 The Young Master Finally Gets the hang of it (shuhaige.net)

The housekeeper looked slightly surprised when he saw Li Baobei in He Ji's arms.

But he quickly concealed it, then smiled slightly and said respectfully, "Young Master, the private doctor has arrived."

"Oh." He You's tone remained unchanged as she carried the person straight inside.

Jiang De watched the figure go inside and sighed, "Young Master has finally come to his senses!"

"Good, good! I'm going to call the master to tell him the good news..."

He quickly dialed the phone, excitedly recounting everything he had seen that day, but soon hung up, his smile fading as he walked in seriously.

Li Baobei was placed in an elegantly decorated guest room. Her foot was in a thick cast and her hands were covered in liquid.

She felt like she was in a dream, and before she could even come to her senses, everything had been arranged perfectly.

Soon after, the room was empty, and she felt the swelling in her lower abdomen again.

"I need to pee... I need to go to the toilet," she finally cried out.

He Ji walked in with a calm expression and saw the awkward look on her face.

"What’s wrong with you?"

Li Baobei looked up and met He Ji's eyes, her face instantly turning red again. "How should I tell him that I need to go to the bathroom? Will it be too embarrassing? Will I just die on the spot..."

He Ji seemed to sense her embarrassment, but his tone remained unchanged, "Need to use the restroom?"

Li Baobei lowered her head and whispered, "Mmm."

She felt like her bladder was going to burst if she didn't go to the toilet soon. So what if she died? It's better than dying from holding it in!

He Ji's eyes flickered slightly, and his expression remained unchanged. After thinking for two seconds, he walked straight toward her.

He took the IV drip bottle off and said softly, "Lift it up with one hand."

"Huh?" Li Baobei looked at him in confusion, but still obediently picked up the IV drip.

Suddenly feeling weightless, He You gently picked her up and carried her to the restroom.

"Oh my god! No way! He's going to accompany me to the bathroom?..." Li Baobei was terrified; she really couldn't hold back anymore at this moment.

She hurriedly looked up at He Ji in a panic, "Manager He, I can go to the toilet by myself, I don't need to..."

He Ji placed her on the toilet, looking at her with a puzzled expression. "Do you mean you want me to watch you use the toilet?"

"Huh? No..."

"I... I didn't..."

"No……"

Li Baobei felt dizzy and her face was burning hot. "She really didn't think that way?"

He Ji didn't look at her again, and dropped the IV bottle from her hand onto the coat hook on the wall.

Without saying another word, he turned and walked straight out, closing the door behind him.

"..."

"I really didn't~"

"Li Dabao is the first person on Earth to die! I'm going back to Mars!"

It was already afternoon when Li Baobei finally had the IV needle removed. It felt so good to be free again.

She looked helplessly at the cast on her foot and clicked her tongue: "It takes a hundred days to recover from a broken bone... I wonder how long it will take to heal..."

She looked up and surveyed her room, which was predominantly light blue.

The bed sheets and duvet covers are all in the same color scheme, giving a simple and elegant feel.

She also found it strange that she couldn't help but unconditionally believe He Ji.

No matter what he said, I felt as if I were under some kind of spell, unable to refuse him at all.

Her subconscious told her that He Ji would never hurt her.

Li Baobei didn't know where this feeling came from.

She glanced out the window again; the only view from this room was of the back garden.

Because she was lying in bed, she couldn't see much. She slowly got up, dragged her injured foot, and jumped towards the window.

What came into view was a garden, filled with all sorts of flowers. Apart from the roses that were immediately visible, she didn't recognize the others.

There's also a small house in the garden, all transparent, which feels like a small tea room. The surrounding environment is elegant, and it must be a wonderful place to drink tea.

Li Baobei suddenly remembered that when she first came in today, there seemed to be a swimming pool in the front yard.

"Yeah! The world of the rich is really simple and unpretentious, all they do is be extravagance." Li Baobei smirked enviously, then shook her head helplessly. "There are so many rich people in the world, what difference does one more make?"

Li Baobei heard someone come in, and when she turned around, she saw He Ji.

He Ji walked in lazily, his steps light yet powerful, as if carrying an inexplicable strength that made people feel at ease.

"Thank you, He Ji," Li Baobei said softly to He Ji.

He Ji looked up and met her eyes, lingering there for a long time. Li Baobei quickly looked away, lowered her head, and whispered, "Is this your home?"

"Yes." He Ji replied crisply and decisively.

Li Baobei finally asked the question that had been on her mind for a long time: "Why did you bring me back?"

She eagerly raised her eyes and met his gaze. She wanted to know why he would treat her this way.

He Ji was somewhat stunned; he didn't know why he had brought her back.

Is it because they pity them?

Or is it because you hate the smell of hospitals?

But none of these are reasons to bring her back. So what is my reason?

He Ji was silent for a moment, then his eyes flickered slightly. "We can work here."

"Ah..." Li Baobei's mouth was practically agape. "Are you serious?" Her eyes widened as she looked at He Ji incredulously.

He Ji's tone was certain, and his expression remained unchanged: "Yes."
