Chapter 117 What Su Qingqing? I only know you are the woman most cherished in Yu Chiyan's heart.

When Su Yaoyao came out of the restroom and returned to the private room, the manager had already instructed the waiters to serve the dishes and was about to leave.

Yu Chiyan's figure had obviously disappeared.

Upon seeing Su Yaoyao, the manager immediately smiled and stepped forward; "Um, you must be Mrs. Yu."

Su Yaoyao nodded; "Hmm, where's Yu Chiyan?"

The manager smiled slightly. "President Yu said he has some urgent business to attend to and needs to take care of it first. He asked you to eat first and not wait for him. He will come to pick you up in a little while."

Su Yaoyao frowned slightly; "Did he say what the emergency was?"

The restaurant manager's smile turned somewhat awkward; "That's all."

"If Madam has nothing else to say, I'll take my leave."

"good."

After the manager left, Su Yaoyao sat alone at the dining table.

Yu Chiyan ordered a lot of dishes, all of which were her favorites.

But now, facing a table full of delicious food alone, she can't feel happy at all.

What on earth happened that made him leave without even saying goodbye?

...

Yu Chiyan drove very fast, and in the blink of an eye, they arrived at the door of a villa.

Upon seeing Yu Chiyan, Su Qingqing immediately ran downstairs barefoot.

"Chi Yan, you've finally arrived."

Su Qingqing was wearing a white spaghetti strap dress. She was thin and pale. Her originally pretty and lovely face now looked haggard and delicate.

Yu Chiyan noticed the several cuts on Su Qingqing's arm almost immediately. His gaze sharpened, and he stepped forward to grab Su Qingqing's wrist, his voice filled with concern.

"How did you get the injury on your hand?"

With red eyes, Su Qingqing hid her hands behind her back; "Chi Yan, don't ask anymore."

Yu Chiyan's expression was rather grim; "What exactly happened?"

Su Qingqing lowered her head, her voice filled with helplessness and sobs; "I'm sorry, Chi Yan, I haven't seen you for the past few days. I feel terrible and want to die. Yesterday, my parents called to ask how I was doing. They didn't know I was sick, but they were still very worried about me. Chi Yan, I feel so useless. Why am I being so dramatic? Getting this disease is tormenting the people around me and tormenting myself. Every time I'm alone at night, I feel like I'd rather be dead."

Yu Chiyan frowned slightly; "What nonsense are you talking about? This is not your fault."

He hurt Su Qingqing, making her like this.

"Chi Yan... will you stay with me today? I haven't slept for two days."

Yu Chiyan paused slightly.

His original intention was just to take a quick look at Su Qingqing and leave; he didn't intend to stay any longer. But seeing Su Qingqing's current state...

"Chi Yan, if you're really too busy, then forget it..."

Su Qingqing loosened her grip on his clothes, her face filled with bitterness and despair.

Yu Chiyan frowned slightly and sighed helplessly; "I'll have dinner with you before I go back."

Su Qingqing's face immediately lit up with joy; "Really? Chi Yan, thank you!"

Su Qingqing immediately pulled Yu Chiyan into the house, her face full of excitement and joy.

"Auntie, please make two more dishes. Chi Yan will be eating at home today."

The cleaning lady upstairs immediately replied, "Yes, Miss Su."

Yu Chiyan felt something was off about Su Qingqing's words, but he ultimately said nothing.

...

Meanwhile, in the restaurant on the other side.

Su Yaoyao kept glancing at the time on her phone. Three hours had already passed, and it was getting dark. Was Yu Chiyan still not coming?

An hour earlier, she had sent a message to Yu Chiyan, but there was still no response. Su Yaoyao felt a surge of frustration.

She couldn't help but call Yu Chiyan again, but no one answered.

A surge of anger rose within him. What on earth was Yu Chiyan up to?

Is it fun to just leave her waiting in the restaurant?

Taking her bag from the table, Su Yaoyao got up and left the private room.

She hailed a taxi on the street and gave them the address of the old house.

The driver's voice was somewhat deep; "Yes, miss."

The car started quickly, and everything outside the window gradually became blurry in Su Yaoyao's eyes.

The cold wind kept slapping against her face, calming her restless heart somewhat.

Never mind, maybe Yu Chiyan really has something urgent to attend to.

Just as she was thinking this, Su Yaoyao noticed that her driver had driven onto the highway, which made her a little suspicious.

"Sir, do you know the way? I seem to remember that I don't need to take the highway to get there?"

The driver was wearing a baseball cap, so his facial expression couldn't be seen. He just smiled when he heard this. "Oh, I took a shortcut."

"I see."

Su Yaoyao's doubts dissipated somewhat, but soon she realized something was wrong. She was about to exit the highway, but the surrounding environment was becoming more and more remote.

Su Yaoyao felt a little nervous, but smiled and asked, "Um, Master, are you a local?"

The driver was clearly surprised that Su Yaoyao would suddenly speak to him. He paused for a moment before cheerfully replying, "Yes."

Upon hearing this, Su Yaoyao's expression immediately changed. Judging from this person's accent, he didn't seem to be a local at all!

She didn't say anything, her smile still on her face, but her hand had already reached for her phone. Almost without hesitation, she sent Chu Ling an address, but before she could even type it, the driver had obviously already realized what was happening.

He slammed on the brakes, and the car came to a sudden stop. Su Yaoyao wasn't paying attention, and her phone slipped from her hand as the car jolted.

My heart skipped a beat, and I was about to bend down to pick it up when a cold voice suddenly rang out.
