Early July.
The sun sets in the west, and the evening glow fills the sky.
"Qixi Festival is in two days, what are your plans?"
Su Yaoyao held her phone behind her ear and walked along the quiet pine-lined road, letting the golden afterglow fall on her face, bathing her in a hazy golden glow.
Jiang Wen's words brought a faint hint of sarcasm to her face.
"Do you think it's necessary for me to celebrate Qixi Festival?"
Her voice was cool, somewhat languid and casual.
Jiang Wen was taken aback by her words; "Hiss, you haven't seen Yu Chiyan yet?"
If you think about it carefully, it's been almost half a month since she last saw Yu Chiyan.
After leaving the hospital that day, she didn't inquire about his whereabouts anymore. However, Bai Ruanruan sent her a lot of photos of Yu Chiyan and Su Qingqing. She also somehow found out about the villa that Yu Chiyan bought for Su Qingqing, as well as various financial transactions.
She didn't go to him simply to give them enough time to spend together. It would be best if Yu Chiyan could let her go.
"He's busy spending time with Su Qingqing, so now it's not like I can see him whenever I want."
As soon as she finished speaking, a shadow suddenly appeared above Su Yaoyao's head, blocking her way.
Without even looking up, she deftly moved aside and walked forward on her own.
"I'm currently unemployed, and I go out for drinks at night."
The person on the other end of the phone said something, and a light smile appeared on the woman's face.
The man behind Su Yaoyao calmly watched her back. His handsome features were covered with a layer of coldness, and his icy eyes showed a hint of mockery.
It's been so long since I've seen her, but she seems to be living a happy and carefree life.
...
After her walk, Su Yaoyao returned to the old house and personally cooked a few dishes for Old Madam Yu, as well as some medicinal cuisine.
After preparing everything, Su Yaoyao set out the bowls and chopsticks before heading towards the old lady's room.
Perhaps due to the weather, Madam Yu has been very sleepy lately, spending most of her day sleeping.
Reaching the door, I knocked, and a cool voice followed: "Grandma, it's time to eat."
No sooner had she finished speaking than Old Madam Yu pushed the door open. "Yaoyao, wait a moment. Are you hungry? Chi Yan said he'll be back tonight. Why don't you wait for him to come along?"
Is Yu Chiyan coming back today?
Su Yaoyao's expression stiffened for a moment; "Grandma, why didn't you say so earlier? I had an appointment with a friend today to discuss something very important. I only cooked for you, and I'm about to leave."
When the old lady heard her say that, she frowned; "Is it in such a hurry?"
Yu Chiyan has been busy for almost half a month and hasn't spent much time with Yaoyao. If the young couple doesn't nurture their relationship, it's inevitable that they'll grow distant. Now that her grandson has finally returned, she really wants Su Yaoyao to stay.
"Grandma, there's something really important."
Seeing that Su Yaoyao's expression didn't seem to be lying, Old Madam Yu didn't say anything more; "Then remember to come back early tonight."
Su Yaoyao just smiled faintly and didn't say anything.
I'm afraid that after today, she won't have to stay in the old house anymore.
Before leaving, Su Yaoyao placed all the folders of information that Bai Ruanruan had collected on her bedroom desk.
The folder contained various 'photos' of Su Qingqing and Yu Chiyan, as well as real estate information that Yu Chiyan had bought for her.
If these things were used as evidence in court for a divorce, she could get a considerable amount of property.
As husband and wife, they owed each other nothing. Su Yaoyao didn't want anything from him; she only prayed to escape this ridiculous marriage as soon as possible.
She signed the divorce agreement and put it together with the documents, hoping that Yu Chiyan would understand her meaning and not force her to make things too ugly.
After redoing her makeup and changing into a dress, Su Yaoyao went out.
No sooner had she left than Yu Chiyan appeared at the old house.
"Master, is it really necessary for you to avoid Madam like this?"
Yu Chiyan paused slightly, his cold eyes piercing his face like knives; "If you don't speak, no one will think you're mute."
Jiang Chen gestured as if he were zipping up his mouth, indicating that he was going to shut up.
The man didn't speak, and entered the house carrying a chill with him.
Watching Yu Chiyan's retreating figure, Jiang Chen silently curled her lips.
Don't think he doesn't know; his master is afraid that Su Yaoyao will bring up divorce the moment she sees him.
Who would believe that Yu Chiyan would rather torture himself day and night at the company than go home out of fear?
...
bar.
The colorful lights flickered on and off, creating a dazzling display, while the deafening music made everyone's heart leap into their throats.
However, what is even more eye-catching is the bright red in the center of the dance floor.
The dance was graceful, soft yet powerful, like a swan soaring through the air, or a leaf fluttering and spinning in the wind.
Su Yaoyao felt that Jiang Wen was unconsciously overlapping with Xu Xiaoxin, as if no matter how she pretended or how careful she was, she was still Xu Xiaoxin at heart.
Su Yaoyao tilted her head back and downed a glass of wine, then looked at the man beside her who had been watching her intently.
"Huo Xiting, what are you doing here, you two women, having a drink together?"
Huo Xiting is now the vice general manager of a company. He has lost his decadence and has returned to his former gentlemanly demeanor.
"How can I feel at ease with you two girls drinking? As a man, of course I have to protect the people I care about."
Upon hearing this, Su Yaoyao paused slightly in her movements.
"Huo Xiting, don't waste your time on me."
Hearing this, he wasn't discouraged, but just smiled and said, "Doing what makes you happy isn't a waste of time."
