For the past few days, Yu Chiyan has turned down all social engagements and has been rushing back to the old house every day after work.
The old lady was very happy to see this scene; her silly grandson was finally taking the initiative to pursue his wife.
As soon as Su Yaoyao came downstairs, she saw a man sitting on the sofa peeling lychees.
His large, slender hands, with distinct knuckles, complemented the glistening white fruit pieces that had been peeled and placed in the porcelain bowl.
A ray of sunlight playfully climbed up his expensive suit trousers, landing on his chest, his shoulders, and his sharply defined, almost demonically perfect face.
One glance was enough to send Su Yaoyao into a frenzy, as if a little deer was running wild in her heart.
She secretly despised herself, thinking she deserved to be used by Yu Chiyan. She had never seen anyone as infatuated as herself. She took a step back, turned around and left, not wanting to run into Yu Chiyan. But Aunt Zhang downstairs spotted her with sharp eyes.
"Madam, you've come down? I've just brewed some herbal tea, would you like some?"
As soon as she finished speaking, Su Yaoyao noticed a very aggressive gaze falling on her.
She forced an unnatural smile; "Um... I... I was just about to go back and get some more sleep, so I won't drink the herbal tea. Thank you, Aunt Zhang."
Su Yaoyao was about to leave after she finished speaking, but Old Madam Yu suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
"Yaoyao, you've slept all day, why do you still want to sleep? Are you feeling unwell?"
The man who was peeling lychees paused slightly upon hearing this, a glint of light flashing in his eyes.
"Grandma, it's nothing...it's just hot, I feel sleepy."
Su Yaoyao explained with a smile, and Old Madam Yu nodded, then made a disapproving expression.
"In that case, don't sleep. Sleeping too much will make you uncomfortable. If you feel hot, come down. The lychees that Chi Yan had someone airfreight from abroad a few days ago have arrived. Come and eat them."
Su Yaoyao thought to herself, "Do rich people have to have lychees flown in from abroad? Are they all as pretentious as Yu Chiyan?"
"What are you standing there for? Come on!"
Madam Yu had already gone upstairs at some point, and without saying a word, she pulled her downstairs.
"grandmother……"
"Hey, come sit down."
Su Yaoyao was pressed down to sit next to Yu Chiyan.
The sunlight suddenly shifted from the man's face to her fair and delicate profile.
Yu Chiyan glanced at her round, pink earlobes, his eyes darkening.
"Shall I feed you?"
He reached out and pushed a stack of fruit pieces in front of him, his flippant tone carrying a questioning tone.
When Madam Yu saw this scene, her eyes widened in disbelief.
Her grandson never flirts with his wife unless he wants to, but when he does, he practically wants her to be disabled; he even wants to feed her fruit.
Noticing Madam Yu's gaze, Su Yaoyao said somewhat awkwardly that it was alright, a faint blush spreading across her beautiful and delicate face.
Yu Chiyan's dark eyes softened with a smile; his blushing face was much more endearing than his red eyes.
"I can peel my own, you can eat the ones you peel yourself."
She reached for the lychees with shells on the table, but her wrist was suddenly grabbed. Even though the old lady was right in front of her, she couldn't help but feel a little angry.
What does Yu Chiyan mean by this? Is he not going to give her any?
Just as she was about to speak, she suddenly felt a damp coolness on her hand. Looking down, she saw Yu Chiyan wiping her hand with a wet tissue.
"This thing has a very hard shell; it can hurt your hands."
He wiped Su Yaoyao's fair hands clean little by little before handing her the fruit, along with the knife and fork, from the plate.
"If that's not enough, I'll peel some more for you."
Realizing what had happened, Su Yaoyao blushed; "Who...who asked you to peel it?"
Don't think that just because he's like this, you'll forget everything.
Yu Chiyan didn't speak, but just stared at her intently.
Madam Yu smacked her lips, feeling a slight pain in her teeth.
She waved her hand in front of Yu Chiyan's eyes.
"Hey kid, I want one too, peel a plate for me too."
Yu Chiyan leisurely put the multi-million dollar watch back on his wrist, his tone somewhat lazy and casual.
"Grandma, you're getting old, so you should eat less sweets."
Madam Yu: "???"
If lychees are considered a dessert, then what is dog food?
Sensing the teasing gaze of Old Madam Yu, Su Yaoyao decisively lowered her head to eat, her mouth filled with a faint fragrance and sweetness, a sweetness that seemed to seep into her heart.
The hall was quiet when Old Madam Yu suddenly called out.
"Oh dear, I need to go see where my little dumpling is. I have to go look for her."
Just as Su Yaoyao was about to offer to accompany her, she saw the old lady glance at Aunt Zhang. Sure enough, the next second, she heard Aunt Zhang's voice.
"Oh, madam, I'll go with you to find it."
Su Yaoyao: "..."
For the first time, she felt that the old man's steps could truly be described as swift and agile.
Soon only she and Yu Chiyan were left, and Su Yaoyao could clearly feel the man's burning gaze.
Watching the woman take small bites of the glistening fruit, Yu Chiyan felt his throat become unbearably dry. His gaze darkened, and his voice became somewhat hoarse.
How does it taste?
Su Yaoyao looked down at the few remaining pieces of fruit. After all, it was someone else who peeled it, and since he had asked her that, shouldn't she be polite?
"It's alright, would you like one?"
She held the fruit with her fork and asked Yu Chiyan, but kept it far from his mouth.
Yu Chiyan stared at her with his deep gaze, as mysterious and dangerous as a black hole.
"eat."
As soon as the word was uttered, she froze, and before she could react, the man's hot breath enveloped her completely.
