“Chi Yan, we’ve been brothers for so many years. If you really don’t trust me that much, you wouldn’t have just watched me and Miss Su finish that meal back then.”
Upon hearing this, Yu Chiyan glanced at him. Nan Jiangmu was referring to the time he and Su Yaoyao had dinner alone, and he had waited for Su Yaoyao in the car for two hours. Yu Chiyan sneered.
"You're quite clever."
He didn't think Nan Jiangmu's character would disappoint him, but he didn't know when it started, but whenever Nan Jiangmu mentioned Su Yaoyao, he always felt a little resentful.
“Chi Yan, Su Yaoyao came to me that time because of Su Qingqing.”
Yu Chiyan paused slightly in his movements.
Jun Xian raised an eyebrow and leisurely ate his melon.

"Then why didn't you send anyone to investigate Su Qingqing?"
Yu Chiyan frowned upon hearing this; "Why would I investigate her?"
Junxian watched the two of them chatting amongst themselves, stroking his chin as he enjoyed the show.
Nan Jiangmu frowned; "Aren't you curious whether Su Qingqing's illness is fake or not?"
Yu Chiyan's expression was somewhat taken aback; "What did you say?"
Junxian finally understood and it was time for him to speak.
"So Miss Bai investigated Su Qingqing because Su Yaoyao suspected that Su Qingqing's depression was fake, and not for any other reason?"
Nan Jiangmu nodded, and their gazes immediately fell on Yu Chiyan.
"So you didn't know about this?"
"So why do you think Bai Ruanruan is investigating Su Qingqing?"
Nan Jiangmu and Jun Xian turned to ask Yu Chiyan at the same time.
Yu Chiyan; "..."
So he misunderstood Su Yaoyao?
Nan Jiang glanced at him silently, but finally spoke.
“Chi Yan, your brothers can all see that you care about Miss Su, but how much you care is unknown to her. She only knows that you protect Su Qingqing in every way and care about her when she is sick or injured. In Miss Su’s eyes, Su Qingqing is the one you cherish most.”
Jun Xian listened silently, his gaze drifting, lost in thought.
“Take this incident for example. Bai Ruanruan was certainly at fault for causing Su Qingqing some injury, but it wasn’t serious. You’re willing to put someone in jail just to avenge Su Qingqing. Miss Su will only think that you’re protecting Su Qingqing like she’s a precious treasure. But actually, we brothers all know why you care about Su Qingqing.”
"You care about Su Qingqing's injury and illness because she saved you, but even more so because..."
Nan Jiangmu glanced at Yu Chiyan's expression and forced himself to continue.
"It's because of Sese. Sese was also your savior, but you couldn't protect her back then, and you've felt guilty ever since."
At this point, Yu Chiyan's expression changed.
Jun Xian sat up straight, signaling Nan Jiangmu to stop talking. Over the years, everyone knew that Sese was a taboo subject in front of Yu Chiyan.
“Su Qingqing also saved your life. You promised to marry her, but you broke your promise for Su Yaoyao. I don’t know if you feel guilty about this, but I know that you failed to protect your first savior, so you will do your best to protect Su Qingqing now.”
The private room was unusually quiet; you could hear a pin drop.
Jun Xian couldn't help but secretly give Nan Jiangmu a thumbs up. They all knew this, but only Nan Jiangmu dared to say it out loud.
Sese was an orphan who grew up in an orphanage. She knew all of them. Ten years ago, Yu Chiyan was seventeen years old. He rushed into a fire to save his parents, but was attacked by many enemies and almost died inside. Sese, who was only fourteen years old at the time, rushed into the fire and saved Yu Chiyan at the last moment, but she herself perished in the fire. Yu Chiyan held a wine glass in his hand, a hint of pain flashing across his face.

Nan Jiangmu smiled, knowing that he had taken her words to heart.
"I just think Miss Su is a nice person and deserves your good treatment."
Yu Chiyan's narrowed eyes flashed with a hint of coldness; "Nan Jiangmu, are you telling me all this for my wife?"
Jun Xian finally realized what was happening and looked at Nan Jiangmu in disbelief.
Nan Jiangmu's expression stiffened slightly. He tilted his head back and took a sip of wine to calm his emotions.
"I think Ruan Ruan is a good person, and I don't want you to be blinded by lust and implicate innocent people."
Yu Chiyan coldly curled the corners of his lips; "If you like, I might consider letting her go."
If Nan Jiangmu was an excuse, then Yu Chiyan's words were coercion.
Jun Xian was speechless. This was the first time he had ever seen the most refined Nan Jiangmu and Yu Chiyan confront each other so fiercely.
"Alright, let's stop talking about these unhappy things and drink."
He was about to speak when Yu Chiyan glanced at Jun Xian but said nothing more.
The three of them ordered quite a bit more wine and drank until dawn.

Jiang Chen received a call from Yu Chiyan early in the morning, asking him to investigate what Chen Huimei had been doing these past few days.
