Gu Tingmo has a sharp tongue, and when he saw Shen Jia blush, he raised an eyebrow.
"Sweetie, are you blushing?"
Shen Jia was furious! Gu Tingmo was provoking her!
She was determined to teach Gu Tingmo a lesson and let him know that Granny Shen was not someone to be trifled with. So, with lightning speed, Shen Jia reached her small hand down to the man's lower abdomen.
Gu Tingmo's body tensed instantly, his Adam's apple bobbing slightly. A wolfish danger flashed in his eyes. He reached out to grab the girl and throw her onto the sofa, but Shen Jia suddenly bent down, slipped through his arms, and quickly fled upstairs. Before running away, she made a foolish remark.
"My sister isn't interested in bullets!"
Gu Tingmo's face darkened, and his aura suddenly turned icy cold. His entire presence became imposing, and he reached out to grab Shen Jia with a grim expression. His tone was extremely dangerous and filled with anger: "Say that again!"
Seeing that things were not going well, Shen Jia cleverly escaped to Xia Xia's bedroom. As soon as she locked the door, Gu Tingmo was already banging on it from the outside.
"Shen Jia, you're finished."
The man's gloomy voice, even through the door, made Shen Jia tremble. She looked down at her feet.
One of the shoes got lost...
Shen Jia was starting to regret her actions... She had really gone too far!
Fortunately, Gu Tingmo couldn't get in, so he left on his own.
Xiaxia was woken up and looked at her mother, who looked utterly dejected, with a bewildered and adorable little face.
"Mommy, what are you doing here? And Daddy, why did I hear him knocking on the door?"
Shen Jia ran to her eldest son's bed and cried, "Xiaxia, you said you would protect Mommy, right?"
Although Xiaxia was very sleepy, she still comforted her mother: "Yes, of course I will protect Mommy, you are my only mommy."
Shen Jia was moved. What a good son he was! Gu Tingmo, that unfilial son, was truly something else.
"Then, my darling, starting tomorrow you'll be with me every step of the way!"
Xiaxia wondered, "Does he still need to go to school?"
