Chapter 146 Yu Chiyan is a Siberian Husky

Yu Chiyan took Su Qingqing away from the hospital. On the way, Su Qingqing wanted to talk to Yu Chiyan, but the man's coldness was too overwhelming, and she dared not speak easily.

Just as Su Qingqing was feeling extremely anxious, Yu Chiyan took the initiative to speak to her.

How much medicine do you have left? Have you finished it?

A sense of unease immediately arose in Su Qingqing's heart. Why was Yu Chiyan suddenly asking this? She forced herself to remain calm and slowly spoke.

"Chi Yan, don't worry about me. I still have the medicine, and if I run out, I'll go get more from Dr. Chen."

Yu Chiyan lowered his eyes; "Hmm."

The carriage was quiet for a while before Yu Chiyan's voice rang out again: "I've re-booked two renowned experts abroad, and they'll be coming to Nancheng for a consultation in a couple of days. I'll go with you then."

Upon hearing this, Su Qingqing truly couldn't force a smile.

“Chi Yan, there’s really no need for that trouble, I…”

"No trouble at all. Your illness was caused by me, so naturally I will do everything I can to save you."

Su Qingqing's expression stiffened, her smile became somewhat forced, and she couldn't help but swallow.

"Chi Yan, you're so good to me..."

Yu Chiyan didn't speak, but his dim eyes flickered.

"President, we've arrived."

Jiang Chen stopped in front of the villa and called out to the two people in the back seat.

Yu Chiyan nodded, then looked at Su Qingqing.

"You can go back first. I have something I need to take care of at the company."

Su Qingqing felt a little wronged; "Chi Yan, you haven't had a meal with me in so long, I..."

Yu Chiyan's voice turned cold; "Something really has happened."

Su Qingqing was unwilling to give up and wanted Yu Chiyan to stay, but Yu Chiyan seemed particularly impatient with her today. She didn't dare to press him any further and provoke him, so she had no choice but to give up.

"Alright then, Chi Yan, remember to come visit me more often when you have time. Seeing you makes me very happy."

She got out of the car and stood by the window, her voice soft and her face full of reluctance.

Yu Chiyan didn't even turn his head, and simply gave a faint "hmm".

"drive."

The man gave Jiang Chen a cold order, and Jiang Chen immediately started the car, which started moving again.

...

Inside the car.

Jiang Chen glanced at Yu Chiyan through the rearview mirror.

"Master, I have checked the medications that Su Qingqing has been taking, and there are no problems."

At this point, Jiang Chen paused, then added, "As for Chen Huimei, I have already sent people to investigate, and they have not found any unusual activity on her part."

Yu Chiyan narrowed his eyes; "What about Chen Feng?"

Jiang Chen thought for a moment; "Chen Feng is over forty years old, his wife died early, he has no children, and I have checked his accounts, and there is no financial transaction between him and the Su family."

There was a moment of silence in the carriage. Just when Jiang Chen thought Yu Chiyan wouldn't speak, he suddenly spoke.

"Investigate Chen Feng's close relatives and associates."

Jiang Chen was taken aback for a moment, then said, "Okay, I understand, Master."

Yu Chiyan remained silent, his eyes lowered as he pondered something.

...

Su Yaoyao entered the hospital and followed Chen Feng up to the third floor, where she witnessed him enter a ward.

She glanced at the ward number, memorized it, and wondered what Chen Feng's relationship was with the person inside.

Inside the ward.

The boy on the bed looked to be quite young, around twenty years old.

He was as thin as a sheet of paper, his face was sallow, his cheeks were sunken, and his eye sockets were protruding. His face, which could have been considered handsome, now looked somewhat frightening.

Upon seeing Chen Feng enter, the boy on the bed immediately revealed a weak smile.

"Second Uncle, what brings you here?"

He was about to get up when Chen Feng quickly stopped him; "Don't move, Xiaohe, don't move. Are you feeling unwell anywhere?"

Looking at his seriously ill nephew, Chen Feng's face showed some pain as he carefully helped him sit up.

Chen He smiled helplessly upon hearing this; "Second Uncle, don't you know my health condition? I have kidney disease, and it's incurable."

Hearing this, Chen Feng glared at him with red eyes; "What nonsense are you talking about, kid? I'm a doctor too. I have the right to say whether your illness can be cured or not!"

Chen He gave a bitter smile; "Second Uncle, why are you so good to me?"

Chen Feng held his hand, his voice heavy; "Xiao He, you are my only family. If I'm not good to you, who else can I be good to?"

Tears welled up in Chen He's eyes. When he was a child, his parents were delivering goods in a truck when they got into a car accident, and he lost both of his parents when he was only five years old.

He was raised by his grandparents, and Chen Feng took on the role of his father, paying for his food, clothing and other necessities.

Later, when he was twelve, he was diagnosed with kidney disease. Chen Feng spent all the savings he had painstakingly accumulated on him. Now his health is deteriorating day by day, and Chen He knows that he will not recover.

"Second Uncle, I don't want to get treatment anymore. Keep the money and find a wife to settle down with. Don't waste it on me."

Upon hearing this, Chen Feng immediately retorted angrily, "Xiao He, I won't allow you to say such things. Your uncle has enough money to treat your illness, and I don't want to get married either. As long as you get better soon, I'll rely on you to support me in my old age, do you understand?"

Chen He knew his second uncle was always stubborn, and he felt somewhat helpless, but then he asked again.

"Second Uncle, are all deputy directors' salaries this high? My expenses are so high, are you...?"

Before he could finish speaking, Chen Feng quickly interrupted him: "Don't overthink it. Your second uncle hasn't been involved in loan sharking. Don't worry, his money is all clean."

When Chen Feng said this, his eyes flickered slightly, but Chen He didn't notice.
