After giving a series of instructions, Su Yaoyao hadn't even had a chance to say "okay" when she heard a woman's voice coming from Yu Chiyan's end, and then the call was disconnected.
Staring at the black screen of her phone, her mind was still blank.
She would probably never forget that female voice; it belonged to Su Qingqing.
Yu Chiyan and Su Qingqing are together.
He's still with Su Qingqing!
She desperately wanted to call him and ask him to come back. Whether it was a threat, a tantrum, or whatever his schemes or unavoidable circumstances, she wanted Yu Chiyan to return to her side immediately.
I held my phone and thought about it again and again, but in the end I didn't do it.
She lay in bed, her mind racing with thoughts. Despite being so sleepy that her eyelids were drooping, she couldn't fall asleep.
Aunt Zhang came upstairs to call her to have dinner, but Su Yaoyao refused, saying she wasn't hungry and just wanted to sleep.
"Okay, I'll leave the food ready. If you want to eat it, just heat it up in the microwave."
"good."
Just as silence returned outside the door, the cell phone next to the pillow rang. It was a call from Shen Jia.
"Su Yaoyao, what are you doing!"
"sleep."
Upon hearing this, Shen Jia's voice instantly exploded: "It's only this early, and you're already in the mood to sleep? If you don't come over soon, your man will be stolen away!"
Su Yaoyao was stunned for a moment; "What do you mean?"
Shen Jia exclaimed "Oh dear!", hung up the phone, and sent a photo.
The woman in the picture was wearing a light yellow evening dress, lively and pretty, as lovely and beautiful as a blooming sunflower. On her waist was a man's hand. Although she couldn't see who the man holding her was, she recognized those hands. They belonged to Yu Chiyan.
She was wearing a ring on her hand, a pair with hers.
Su Yaoyao rolled over and got out of bed, picking out clothes and putting on makeup, not missing a single thing.
When the old lady saw that she was dressed so beautifully, looking like she was about to go out, she was full of surprise.
"Yaoyao, didn't you want to sleep? What are you doing here?"
Su Yaoyao smiled; "Chi Yan said there's a banquet he wants me to attend."
Madam Yu didn't suspect anything; "So that's how it is. Will Yu Chiyan come to pick you up, or will you go by yourself?"
Su Yaoyao smiled; "Chi Yan asked the driver from the old house to take me."
"Alright, then go quickly, don't waste time, come back early and get some rest."
Su Yaoyao nodded; "Okay, Grandma, remember to get some rest early."
